Pledging

Ailwin turned to Kaze, "Do I have to prepare for another battle with the clan leaders?"

"Don't know yet."

After explaining the situation to both Ailwin and Lord Mano, they realized they would have to wait for a response from the clan leaders. They turned their focus towards other things that needed to get done.

Yet, despite Mikaela giving them a month to make their decision, clan leaders, with some of their members, came to the city to make their pledge.

Early in morning, a soldier sent from the wall came to report that there were several clan leaders that have arrived.

"They are being shown into the great hall by Lady Lyra. Lord Mano and Commander Qinvyre ask that you be present." The guard delivered the news and left.

Mikaela smiled as she rushed into her bathroom to put on a chic gown she has been saving for such an occasion.

Down stairs in the great hall, several clan leaders sat waiting. They were right back where they started.
