Mika tried to throw as many fireballs as she could, but the alpha was having none of it as it went straight for her.

Smarter and bigger than the others, Mika was having a hard time killing it.

Every time she went to throw a fireball at it, the alpha would leap into a group of soldiers, threatening her with their lives.

Mika wondered just what Fae did Thallan use to turn him or her into this beast. For it is just too smart for her liking.

Energy depleting, she had no time to check on how the others are doing in their battles as the alpha went to attack her again.

As Nylian went to help Braeden and Saavi while Celaena went to help Commander Zo. That left Kaze to help Ailwin with Jonas and Lyra to help Mano.
