Visit
"Miss White," Eric said and came out of the car. He could not explain the happiness seeing that she was okay. He could still remember the chaos he witnessed in the hospital.
"Mr Brown," Emily called him. She did not sound angry. She could not help but remember what had happened on the day the kidnappers attacked her. He kept patting her head and talking to her all through the road to the hospital.
"I heard Miss White is sick; how are you doing?" Eric asked. Although she was taking a walk, Eric could tell that she had lost so much weight.
"I am much better, thank you for asking," Emily replied. She did not know why she felt that when Eric asked about her health, he seemed genuinely concerned.
'I must be having a high fever,' Emily immediately pushed the thought aside. She could not be considered close to Eric if anything; her being down gave him a lot of advantages; why should he care?
