"Why was an invitation not sent to the house next door?" Eric asked. Although he went to invite Emily personally, he did not inform anyone about it. And since he said every household could be invited, he did not expect that they would deliberately leave a house.
The maid checking the invitation card could only turn to the maid standing by the side. She had been in charge of sending out the invite.
"Madam Mege," Eric frowns his brows. Madam Mege was already in her late forties and had worked with him for a few years. She was never the type to make such mistakes.
"Sir, an invite was sent, and I handed it over to the madam of the house," Madam Mege was confident when she said this.
Eric frowned when he heard this; Emily did not seem like a person who would want to form familiarity with him. If there was anything he had noticed was the fact that she tried her best to stay away from him.
