CHAPTER 91: THE PASTRY

If it weren't for the obsidian ring in Bella's hand, which was crafted by Master Alexander and was one-of-a-kind, Dray wouldn't have recognized her. There could not be a second one in the world. Moreover, he recognized her familiar fragrance.

For a moment, Dray even doubted whether Bella knew that he slept with a man. But she was wearing the same perfume as the one from that night. 

After a while, Dray answered the phone and heard Bella's excited voice on the other end.

"Hello, Master Li. Finally, I hear your voice. Are you done with work? Master Li, you have no idea how much I miss you. Can we meet tonight?"

Bella deliberately spoke in a high-pitched and coquettish tone, even more so than usual, which was extremely seductive.

Unfortunately, this "seductive" voice sounded impatient to Dray.

"I'm still busy with work, and I don't have time to meet you."

Dray sat in his office chair and turned around to see Lary placing an exquisite square box in front of him. He raised an eyebrow, gesturing for Lary to open it.

Just then, Bella continued in her sweet voice, "Okay then, work is important. But you should also take care of yourself. By the way... I know you're busy, so I made some of my specialty pastries for you. Let Lary bring them to you. Master Li, I even hurt my hands making these pastries today. You must try them. I made them myself, as a token of my affection."

As soon as Bella finished speaking, Lary opened the small box in front of him.

Inside were over a dozen exquisitely crafted pastries that could only be made by a master pastry chef with decades of experience.

Dray's inscrutable eyes narrowed slightly at the sight of the pastries, but he showed no other reaction.

As a picky eater, Dray had noticed immediately that none of the pastries in the box were made by Bella herself.

After all, he had been a regular customer at De Yu Xuan for years, and the pastries in the box were clearly the work of the master pastry chef there.

Lary and Dan, who had been listening in on the conversation, also noticed the pastries in the box and exchanged a knowing glance.

They could see the dissatisfaction in Dray's eyes as she tried to pass off someone else's work as her own.

"Hmm, I see. These pastries are very delicately made," Dray said in a cold, almost emotionless voice.

"Not just delicately made, they taste delicious too. Master Li, these were all made by Bella herself, and once you try them, you'll see what a great girlfriend you have," Dan chimed in.

Bella was still unaware that her De Yu xuan pastry had been exposed in front of Dray in just one second.

She still boasted proudly, but Dray couldn't be bothered to expose her and casually responded before hanging up the phone.

"Wait a minute..." Bella hurriedly stopped him. "Master Li, I've encountered some trouble and there's something I want to tell you."

"Oh, what is it?"

Dray's lips curled up with a hint of cold sarcasm.

His initial concern for Bella had been worn down by her increasingly demanding requests, and perhaps soon he would lose his patience with this woman.

"It's about my family's business, the cooperation between Kin's and Li family's subsidiary, Li Electronics, that I mentioned to you last time. We had agreed that Li Electronics would give a project to Kin family, but now the people below are deliberately making things difficult, saying that my father's offer is not right and they want to cancel our cooperation with Kin family. "I got it," Dray's cold voice interrupted Bella before she could say more.

"I will greet the people below and tell your father that there won't be any problem with the Kin's order."

Upon hearing Dray's agreement without any further questions, Bella's attitude changed immediately. "Thank you, Master Li. I knew you wouldn't ignore me. You are so good to me... I will bring some snacks to you tomorrow."

"No need. I won't be in the office lately," Dray refused coldly.

"I don't lack these things around me. Don't bring anything to me anymore."
