I stayed with the guys for a day before contacting Bai Yunya and the group. I told them that I would be staying somewhere before coming back. I asked how Auntie Xiao Rin was and it seems that she has already calmed down a bit and is treating the girls nicely.

Bai Yunya asked me if she could also teach Auntie Xiao Rin and Min Rou the practice. I was a bit hesitant but told her that they should start with the basics first so that they would not be overwhelmed by the Qi energy.

I also instructed them to be careful while practicing outside as the Hunters might be sending more of them in that place.

Today while in the inner city, I and Qing Lao, who is now wearing a tattered jacket and ripped jeans along with an old sneaker, are going towards a place they called The Base. It seems that this place is where Yu Mantao is giving the rest of her small gang subordinates instructions.

What I have learned is that Yu Mantao is actually one of the daughters of a rich real estate developer which is also a member of a gang.

From what I have gathered so far, she is the weakest member of the group that assaulted me and Lin Qiao at that time. And now as the others have grown she has decided to keep a low profile and just manage a small group of small-time thugs.

As the two of us walks out of an alley, we soon reached the place they called 'The Base'. And inside that place, there is loud music and many of the youths are dancing with its beat along with the blinking lights. I then noticed that only a couple of people in this place are adults. Most of the people here are teenagers and juveniles. From the way everyone is dressed to their words and actions, one could tell their hot-blooded demeanor and childish behaviors.

But the stink of a narcotic substance in the air is thick which made me feel a bit uncomfortable.

"Hey, you want some smoke?" Qing Lao asked as he takes out a crumpled paper in his pocket and carefully lights it up.

He puffs a cloud of smoke from it and handed it over to me.

"No…" I said and just look at the crowd in front of me.

"Well, suits you… more for me then…" he said as he began to smile.

I could tell that the effect of the thing he smoked is already kicking in. I did not bother with him and just walk to the side and look for a place to stand and watch over the situation.

It did not last long before a few men in their 30's entered the large hall. When the men appear the music was turned off the place was lit dimly.

"Is everyone in here!" shouted the man who looks like a gang member with his black suit and glasses.

"Hai! Everyone is accounted for!" someone shouted.

I noticed that the person who shouted was the one who checked us earlier upon entry to this place.

"Good… Now here are your missions. Those who will not receive a mission today just go home or partner with others if they wanted you…" the man said with a smirk.

He then handed down some envelopes while calling the team leaders of each team. The person called Gin who belongs to Qin Lao's group was the one who was called it seems that he is the leader.

When Gin returned, I also walked towards them quietly.

"This is our mission…" Gin said as he opens the envelope.

However, before he could read, someone suddenly grabs the envelope and took it away from Gin's hand.

The group looks at the guy who looks like a fit-looking youth with spiky hair. His leather sleeveless vest made him look imposing as he glared at the group.

"What is the meaning of this Martian!" shouted Gin.

"Gin, you seem to have forgotten what you owe me?" the guy called Martian said with a sneer.

"I already paid you back along with the interest… What else do you want? Give that back!" Gin shouted in anger.

The commotion has already attracted some attention towards our group, but I did not do anything and just let myself fade with the crowd as I observe the situation.

"Haha… This is a mission, and any team could do it. You were just chosen randomly, so whoever is the strongest team could get it, right?" Martian said with a sinister smile.

Gin and his group turned silent. What can they do against Martian's group when they are only weaklings? Only Hong Bin is strong enough to fight against them. The rest are just weak individuals especially the girls who would just provide backup and logistics in missions.

Qing Lao, Gin, and Hong Bin are the only ones who could fight, while in Martian's group there are five of them that are as strong as Hong Bin. So how could they fight against Martian's group?

"Martian, this is the first time that we can get a mission after 2 weeks. We still need to eat, can you give us some face?" Gin said with gritted teeth.

"Give you face? Hahaha…" Martian laughed.

"Alright, I can do that… Just let me have my way with Yan Yin or Jian Feili, then I will give this back to you…" Martian said with a lustful gaze while looking at the firm and sexy body of the two young women.

Yan Yin and Jian Feili gave him an angry glare but they did not say a word. In their time in this place, this is the first time that they have experienced being treated as such.

At first, everything was fine and the group has entered 'The Base' and has received their missions and completed it successfully.

That was when their real leader Camaro is still present. But after Camaro was called and became a Hunter everything changed. Although they were not bullied, their accomplishment rate became lower which made it hard for them to get more missions and earn their keep.

However, after a couple of months that Camaro did not return, they were begun to be oppressed. Until these few months were Martian is picking a fight on them every time they are about to receive a mission.

And today, he seems to be eyeing the two young women as it seems that he heard something about Camaro not returning anymore.

In truth, there is a rumor that the two young women are actually Camaro's women so no one ever dares get their hands on the two young beauties. However, now that the group heard that a large number of Hunters have died in the outside wall, and coupled with Camaro not returning, Martian was emboldened to set his eyes on the two girls.

The anger in the hearts of Qin Lao and his group erupted but they dare not fight in this place. Though it is possible to fight here, they are not sure how many of the people in this place is with Martian and his group.

"Let's just go, Gin… It's not worth it…" Qin Lao said as he patted Gin's shoulder.

The big Hong Bin who has already clinched his fist was also patted by the two women to stop him from doing anything that he would regret later.

"Let's just leave…" they said.

When the group turns around, the people around them immediately jeered at them.

"Haha… Camaro's group became sissies… I knew that they are nothing without Camaro. Just a bunch of wimps…"

"You're right… When Camaro was around they are proud, but now… Look at them? Hihihi…"

"They are nothing but paper tigers… Now that everyone saw their true color, how can they stay in the Base?"

"But the question is will Martian let them leave? I already knew that he has his eyes on those two women. This is going to be a bloody fight… Haha…"

The people around talked as Qin Lao and his group walk towards the exit. I did not follow them as I am still observing those men who gave the so-called missions.

Those men are watching this scene with interest as if they are enjoying what is happening right now. They would casually whisper to each other but I could not clearly hear their words because of the many voices in the area.

Right at this moment, the man nodded his head and I noticed that there are two burly men who suddenly blocked the path of Qing Lao and his team.

"What… what is the meaning of this?" Qin Lao shouted at the burly men.

But the two men did not budge and stood like two large walls blocking the exit of the hall. The man I was observing suddenly walks forward and said.

"Since there is a conflict, how could we not resolve this the old ways?... I want to see your guys battle it out like men. Those who win could get the prize…" he said as he winks at Yan Yin and Jian Feili.

Qin Lao and the other two young men's expressions turned dark. How could they not know what is happening?

They knew that if they did not fight, then those two would be taken forcefully. But if they do fight, then they can only suffer, but at least they have a chance.

Either way, the three young men would still die in this place, and that is the reality of their situation right now.

But as for me, I will just wait and see…
