Happily Never Afterall

Tristan POV.

"C'mon man, tell me what happened with Amber last night?" Will begged me to fill him in. I chuckled to myself as I remembered the hot brunette on her knees for nothing other than to please me and fulfill my needs as a man.

I grinned to myself and gave him his answer. "She was on her knees by the end of the night, just like the rest of them. Not bad, but not the best either." I shrugged as I turned to go into the CD store.

Will gawked at me. "C'mon man, she was hot! Are you at least going to see her again?" He tried again.

I picked up the newest Toby Keith CD and read the list of songs in the back. I shrugged my shoulders and shook my head no. "Nah, you know I'm a one and done kind of guy. Get in and get out. Plenty of fish in the sea and I'm a catch and release kind of guy." I inwardly patted myself on the back for that one.

Will laughed at my joke and shook his head. "Man you have the life. But these girls are hot. I don't know why you don't get with them multiple times." He shrugged his shoulders. "You know, sometimes having a girlfriend has its perks."

I continued walking down the aisle browsing through the different CD's. I heard giggling across from me and I loved my eyes to see a couple of girls eyeing me up as they spoke to one another. I smirked at them and sent a wink their way. They giggled and walked quickly off whispering to themselves.

"You may think relationships have perks, but I know that they ruin you. I don't need that shit in my life. I'd rather whip the pussy than be pushy whipped." I laughed again. I mean where do I come up with this shit.

Will rolled his eyes. "C'mon man, are you done in here? I'd like to go get something to eat, and I heard there is this hot blonde chick who started worked at the pizza place last week." He offered.

"Hmmmm now you are speaking my language. Let's go check her out. Maybe I'll have her all to myself by the end of the night." I laughed and headed towards the pizza shop with will hot on my heels.

"Nah I don't think this girl is like that. Tristan you need to slow your roll, this girl is a good girl. Don't mess with her man." Will pleaded.

I looked at him as though he had two heads. "First lesson, there is no such thing as good girls. Good girls are only ones that haven't been given the chance to be bad yet" I said to him before I rounded the corner to walk into the pizza shop.

I walked in and immediately froze in my spot. "Is that her?" I asked Will.

"Yeah man, that's her. Isn't she hot?" He asked as he stared at her. "Told you she was different" he said as we watched her interaction with the people in front of us. She was smiling from ear to ear and laughing as she pulled their order together. I saw the little girl with them wave to her and she made a monkey face at the girl in turn making the little girl laugh hysterically. I heard the mom of the girl offer her a babysitting position if she ever got tired of working at the pizza shop.

It was our turn to order and my eyes froze on the most beautiful brown eyes I had ever seen staring back at me. The were such a light shade of brown with a shade of green slightly intermixing with what seemed to be good flecks. A hand came to my rib cage. "Tristan! Stop staring and place your order man! You look like a creep!" Will whisper-yelled at me.

I snapped out of daze and came back to reality. "Can I help you?" The sweetest voice id ever heard asked.

"Uh...uh yeah. Can I have a slice of pepperoni and a coke?" I asked.

"Sure, is that it? Would you like a cookie or a brownie to go with it?" She asked with a big heart melting smile on her lips.

I shook my head. "No thanks, no sweets for me. I'll take your name though." I gave her a small smile.

She froze. She looked like a deer caught in headlights. The smile fell from her lips and she turned around gathering my pizza that was ready and my drink, turning back to me and handing it to me quickly. "Have a great day." She said with a now fake smile on her face.

I guffawed at her. "You mean you won't give me your name?" I asked incredulously. She shook her head no and pointed for me to go sit down. I took my food and sat down at a table with Will.

"What's wrong with you man?" He asked.

I stared at my plate. "She would t even give her name." I said quietly.

Will's jaw just about dropped to the floor. And then he started laughing hysterically. "Oh my god! That's the first girl to turn you down!" He was gasping for breath in between his laughter. "Aw man welcome to the world of rejection!"

"Shut up." I said lowly. I was having an inner debate with myself. I know I should just take the rejection with grace and move on. She wasn't interested and that was that. But there was something about her. Something so familiar. It was those eyes. Something told me I'd seen those eyes before but I couldn't place where.

I sat and thought about this while finishing my meal. "You ready to go now man? I got places to be." I said to Will.

"Yeah sure man." He replied. As we were walking out I looked over to the girl whose eyes had already mesmerized me and I heard will shout out beside me, "Bye Nadine! Have a good day!"

My head whipped over to him so fast I thought I might get whiplash. "You know her?" I asked incredulously.

Will let out a loud belly laugh. "Man if you would have lowered your gaze from her eyes down to her chest you would have realized she had a name tag on. She probably thinks you are stupid and can't read!" He laughed hysterically again wheezing breaths in between his words.
