24. War prep(Other's POV)

(Zeus pov)

It was a month before Odin arrives, and over 3 months since Hades had awoken and taken moves gathering an army. And I can't sit still. I'm at Olympus high above the mortal realm, currently just looking at it. Sitting on my throne it looks so small, so insignificant. As if my own foot could wipe it from existence. A small voice yanks me out of my introspection.

"Lord Zeus, Chief Mateos has responded to your request for aid. He says he will help in the battle against Odin..." Hermes pauses nervous about what he has to say next as he reads from a letter. This has become yet another one of my multiple problems. My servants and subjects are too terrified to even read me a message yet alone council me.

"Spit it out, and don't call me lord, no one else is here." I say in as nice of a voice as I can. Already, my patience is running low.

"Of course father, my apologies, he wants t-the option to choose a w-wife, one able to give him divine children." My hand couldn't help find my face as I sighed. That's what everyone wanted. Their children are to be immortal, strong and with a birthright to be on Olympus. Then again it's not like we couldn't use the numbers of a bunch of demi-gods.

"See what Nymph will accept taking a Minotaur as a husband, I'm sure there are a few crazy ones out there." Such as Amaltheia, I couldn't help but passingly think. As a tinge of anger wells up at the thought of her sleeping with my brother and then mothering him a child, one with a Divinity at that.

{A/N Nymphs like Amaltheia aren't full Gods, they're more like pseudo gods that don't have divinities but can live forever, have strong magic, but cant rule domains. But this means that when they have kids even with divine beings like Zeus or hell, Aphrodite, their kids won't get any divinities and would just be another nymph. Usually. Rarely, but not never are they born fullblood gods with divinities. Meliodas will not be the only one btw and no one but Zeus can tell he even has them at the moment due to his title of being king of the gods.}

Then again, the kid is quite sweet, which does almost make up for his fathers absentness and mothers 'betrayal'. Back on topic. I think to myself, blinking my eyes a few times to refocus.

"On other news, the gorgons, along with the Aloadae, the giants currently living in the ruins of Mt. Othrys have agreed to fight with us on the condition they are given land near Mt. Lyakion as there is nearly no human life along with the closeness to the entrance to the Underworld." They don't have faith in me. That much is obvious, but at least they fear my power. I take a deep breath to calm myself, my anger has been the bane of my rule since the day it started, if I don't get it under control now, I fear it will lead to my death in the upcoming war.

"So they don't think I can protect them? That is fine, tell them we will give them West of Mt. Lyakion until the sea to do with as they wish, but they must ask for Hades blessing first." I'm sure he wouldn't mind. He never uses the entrance anyways, usually just opening a portal to get where he needs to go. But it wouldn't do any good for Hades to get the wrong idea.

"Sounds good father, the last thing is Hades. Thankfully its not a request and is simply a status report on his current organization of an army." Thank Gaia, all day it's been request, request, request followed by demand or ultimatum. Thankfully you can always rely on Hades to increase his already extreme height of power.

"Hand me the report and you are dismissed." I say as he walks forward to give me the report. My back still turned to him as I continue to look at the mortal realm.

"He also told me to tell you to "appreciate Hera more, now more than ever as war approaches"." He says, his voice mimicking Hades exact tone as he said it, one of his powers as a messenger god.

"You're dismissed, Hermes." Yet again Hades finds some way to mock me. Looking down on me as if I don't love my wife. Who the Tatarus is he to give me relationship advice! Clouds start to darken and roil as I grind my teeth in anger, the pure notion that Hades even feels comfortable saying something like that insults me to my absolute core. But when looking at the letter I couldn't help but heave a sigh of relief. His army should help us out quite a bit during the battle. My anger subsiding to logic as my mind moves onto the up coming war. He can provide us with 10 legions, each legion consisting of a thousand soldiers, highly trained according to Hades. Along with at least 450...Proto Necromechs . What that means he didn't specify but said that they should equal to at least 100 Asgardian soldiers per machine.

With this I could rest a little easier tonight as this would bring our total to around half a million, we just have to hope our quantity is enough to overcome the Asgardians quality of professional armies.

Looking back over the realm, the sun reflecting off the clouds below me, the crystal clear water so far below shining with the vibrant green of the world filling me with a sense of awe. With my sight I can even see some small tribes, groups of humans gathering together for survival, happily living in huts or tents. Women and children laughing and playing in joy with no worries in their quaint lives. The men returning from a hunt to their families as they light up in joy at their safe return. The nice jiggle as a woman walks up a hill, the desirable pitch in her voice as she hums some song, her smile that seems to give happiness to any who see it.

I can't let this be destroyed. This peace. I can't let this goodness be destroyed let alone by a warmongering Gods son...

Now that I think about it, I would rest easier if it was betwixt that woman's legs.

'Hehe.'

-------------------

On Asgard.

Sitting on a throne in a grand and golden palace sitting dead center atop a floating city. It's golden theme and almost godly presence along with its prismatic waters slowly and majestically drifting off the edges explaining exactly what this place it. It was Bor's world.

Of his own creation. Each molecule and atom, each strand of grass and each bit of dirt, every pound of metal and every gram of herbs. Even the people, as different and unique as they each were, were created by the Creation God Bor. Such was his power.

But right now he was not making, creating, or even destroying. He was doing something of which comes with the heavy responsibility he imposed upon himself. He was ruling, simply sitting on his grandiose throne, simply listening.

Of agriculture, of infrastructure, of money, of health and of happiness he knows the most. Yet he still must listen. Laying the groundwork for his sons, whichever shall inherit his realm when he dies. His time is approaching soon after all, and it would be no good to leave behind a useless kingdom for his newly made pantheon to rule.

Already they were preparing to take the throne, and enact what they will. Whether that be expandatory war or isolationist peace he couldn't care less. He would be happy that he would be remembered for creating Asgard. His Asgard.

Already his sons were laying down their own legacies. Odin, a brash young man who has more power than he knows what to do with having not even explored his more... useful powers.

Speak of the devil here he comes. Standing tall his golden hair swishing in the wind. He was wearing his golden armor holding his helmet in his arms. 2 soldiers silently follow behind him.

The many counselors and advisors stepping aside and muting themselves as one of the princes had arrived.

Arriving at the throne all three of them kneel in sync. Showcasing that Odin has trained his soldiers to act as a unit even in places like this. With his voice loud and clear he speaks with utmost respect toward his father. "Father, the Bi-frost has been completed for over a year, and finally I feel confident in my army's capabilities. With your blessing we will take rule over the realm called Midgard, dethroning the current rulers known as the Olympians." Bor only listened, even to his son. Until he talked.

His voice was quiet yet loud in a most perplexing way. It nearly echoed through the halls yet sounded so close and warm and his eyes were serene and calm in quite magical way as he addressed his son.

"You have it. In spirit only however." Odin was visibly shook as his armor made a small rattle. "You may go to Midgard and wage as many wars as you can stomach, but they will be in your name, not mine. As such of course the land you claim shall be yours to do with as you please, it's people, to do with as you please."

Seeing his son like this he can't help but look to a painting on the far wall, one of a woman. His first ever creation was her. She was his, and Odin was Theirs.

So with complex eyes he simply says.

"Go, and war."
