Chapter 79: Wrong Teleportation!

Atreus explained the real reason why he was willing to go to the Amazon world.

Time waits for no one, and the world changes faster than anyone can imagine.

Sure, he could hide within the small groups formed by Batman or Tony, living 'safely' under their protection.

After all, both the Avengers and Justice League had some members who were essentially just background players, and Atreus would definitely exceed that standard.

But if he sought protection, he'd be like an oyster, and one day, the shell that protected him would become the bowl serving him up to his enemies.

One must at least reach a planetary level of strength to stand a chance against beings like Thanos.

When a man is absent-minded, the same expression can mean different things to men and women.

Perhaps a man's distracted demeanor could be because his favorite LPL team lost, or maybe his beloved soccer team got beaten, or perhaps he was run over by a teammate in a game of PUBG.

But to a woman, there's likely only one explanation—this jerk has fallen out of love!

Atreus, deep in thought about how to kill Ares, didn't notice that Catwoman was displeased. She snapped her fingers and shouted, "Music!" The yacht's smart home system immediately started playing "A Lively Tune."

Selina raised her arms, crossing them at the wrists, showcasing her sensual waistline and hips as she swayed like a seductive enchantress. Her short skirt fluttered in the wind as her soft laughter, filled with allure and mystery, stirred Atreus's heart.

And it wasn't just her. To Atreus's left and right, two other women, like golden canaries, swayed in time with the music. Behind him, a woman wearing a mask, gloves, and long stockings dangled upside down from a spider silk thread, striking graceful poses to the rhythm.

Atreus was speechless.

It was clear that they were jealous.

However, the mild jealousy wasn't anything serious.

At this moment, the wind picked up, and rain began to fall.

The storm drowned out all sounds between the sky and sea, and even the 120-foot yacht seemed like a small leaf tossed about by the raging waves, as if it could capsize at any moment.

Finally, the storm subsided.

Catwoman glared at Atreus, "If you die, I'll go find another Wayne."

Atreus chuckled, "So if I don't die, you won't go looking?"

"I never said that."

Touching his cat's heart, Atreus vowed 'ferociously': "You can run, you can hide, but I will always catch you. You will realize that 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, you'll never escape my grasp."

"You... you're such a jerk!" Catwoman fumed.

She could toy with gentlemen or those pretending to be gentlemen, but even bad girls feared scoundrels. What could she do when a rich and strong scoundrel stopped playing nice?

She wasn't sure what she felt for Atreus.

He had killed Black Mask, avenging her sister, cleared her criminal record, and helped her start anew. She was indeed grateful for all that.

But was that love?

Not necessarily!

There was love, but not too much, not too little.

As a fickle woman, even she didn't know what she wanted next. She could only resent Atreus's savagery but couldn't deny all he had done for her.

Catwoman was a bundle of contradictions.

In the days that followed, Atreus, using the system and the memories from absorbing the witch's power, repeatedly tested teleportation.

To be honest, it was like searching for a needle in a haystack.

Even though he had Wonder Woman's token, which greatly narrowed the search range and significantly reduced the difficulty, it was still like looking for a drop of differently colored water in a standard 25-meter pool.

The difficulty had decreased but not disappeared.

After weeks of trying, Atreus hadn't found his target, though his [Perception] ability had increased by 3 points.

During this time, Wonder Woman called twice to ask about his progress, and Atreus gave her honest answers.

A few minor things happened as well: Tony had a fight with a guy wielding an electric whip at some racetrack, and a muscle-bound man with a star-spangled shield started bouncing around New York.

One day, Atreus was still in seclusion, performing perception tests in his villa's underground lab.

Suddenly, the teleportation gate he had been unable to open for a long time suddenly activated.

He sensed a clear signal on the other side of the void.

[After comparison, this signal has a 99.99% chance of being the Amazon Queen's. She is opening the teleportation gate. Would you like to proceed? The final countdown begins: ten, nine... one!]

"Crap!" Atreus hadn't expected the signal to be so unstable.

It was important to understand that [Teleportation] and [Portal] were two different spells. The former could only let Atreus join after the other party opened a portal, while the latter allowed for a stable connection between two worlds.

The last time he entered the zombie world, both portals were already prepared.

But this time, Atreus didn't have time to think as a powerful suction force suddenly pulled him into the void.

The only thing he managed to do was put on Kratos' helmet.

Teleportation felt awful. Most of the things in his vision were suddenly stretched out, and the [Blades of Chaos] in his hand looked like a 20-meter-long golden noodle.

Still disoriented from the teleportation, Atreus heard the system say something about [Language Adaptation] just before a loud shout reached his ears.

"Who are you? A spy from the Greeks? Answer me!" A dazzling golden light slashed down with the rude voice.

For some reason, Atreus was annoyed.

He was extremely annoyed!

When Atreus got mad, the consequences were severe.

Especially since he was no ordinary person!

His perception barely restored, Atreus delivered a fierce kick at the approaching figure.

It was a perfect [Spartan Kick]. The powerful warrior guarding the portal had no time to react. They felt a sudden gust of white wind as the massive man who had attacked was sent flying, crashing into the city wall with a loud thud, leaving a massive imprint.

Heavens! That was a 7-foot-tall barbarian in full armor!

And this almost bare-chested man sent him flying with a single kick?

Watching the armored giant crumble down the wall, mixed with debris and dust, every soldier's eyes filled with shock and disbelief. The fear and awe froze them where they stood.

Yet the man who was now the center of attention, whether friend or foe, merely looked at the unconscious brute and casually remarked:

"Young people, they fall asleep so easily."

Was it mockery? Or sarcasm?

No one knew, and no one dared to make a move.

Atreus ignored them, as his eyes were drawn to a woman in golden armor. She wore her hair in a high bun, her intricately engraved armor hugging her body perfectly. A golden scabbard hung at her waist, and she stood with fierce elegance, her eyes sharp and commanding.

She wasn't an exact match for Wonder Woman, but she was incredibly similar.

"Answer me, Greek! Who are you? And why do you have my sister's [Starlight Diadem]?"

Wait!

This definitely wasn't Themyscira.

Sister?

Atreus couldn't help but blurt out, "You're not Hippolyta!?"

The moment he spoke, he realized that he was speaking in Greek.
