Genshin Impact: Frozen Heart

"Worthless scumbag!" Said Thomas, my good neighbor who was living here since a few years back. "How dare he show his face in the open again after what he has done?"

'What the fuck is he saying? Should I tell him that I can hear him and ask what he is talking about?' I had been hearing things since returning to my apartment. People were starting to talk about me being an ass hole, not that I care much about it, a few months back.

Instead of turning back from where I came from, I decided to get going and head home. It's only 11 in the morning, but I am already home, why? My boss suddenly decided to fire me today out of the blue, since I have nothing else to do, I thought I might as well spend today with my wife. After all, it's been a minute since we've had time together.

"Ah! What do we do if my husband finds out about this?" A female voice was barely heard saying that as I inserted the key in the keyholes.

"No worries, you are already mine. Didn't you abandon him a while back when we first started spreading the rumors? Plus, he is bonded to figure it out sooner or later!" I heard a familiar voice talk back to her. "It wouldn't change anything even if he figure it out now, right?"

Unlocking and opening the door, I found my wife and my best friend kissing each other. Speechless and shocked, I just stood there, dumbfounded by what I had seen.

"I-I am back…" I said, with an expression that I didn't even know I had in me, I didn't know how to feel, I didn't understand my feelings, I felt abandoned, angry, and all sorts of emotions, but above all, hatred. "T-this is a joke, right? Please tell me it is, Kevin? Alice? Please?"

"I'm sorry, darling. But as you can see, I'm sure—" Alice said before Kevin cut her off with a kiss and shut her off.

"As Alice was saying, I am sure that you've heard stuff going around in the past about 3? 4 months now? Since people around you have been talking bad about you. Right?" Kevin asked in place of Alice, who was staring at me with regretful eyes saying 'I'm sorry'.

"Ha.. hahaha, so that was what was going on? I don't care anymore! Just get the fuck out of my house!" I broke, and my brain stop working. No, it didn't want to work, it didn't want to think too much about it. All that time and experience we spent together, just went down the drain as if those events never happened. 15 years of friendship, and 5 years of marriage, all gone now without any regrets.

"Your house? Last time I checked, it was mine." Kevin casually said, standing there, looking at me with the biggest grin I've seen placed on his face.

"Wait… what do you mean? What do you mean it is yours?" I asked in confusion, as my brain wondered 'What the hell was he talking about? I own the place, I bought it for my family!'

"Go and check it if you don't believe me…" I hurried to grab my phone that was in my right jacket pocket and dialed the number of my parents, held it up to my ear, and waited.

And waited

But no one answered, and it kept getting forwarded to the mid voicemail, so I panicked and messaged them on Discord after I sent them a message asking them "What is happening? Why does Kevin say that he owns the house now?" But what I got wasn't an answer, but a bit of response saying that "Your message could not be delivered. This is usually because you don't share a server with the recipient or the recipient is only accepting direct messages from friends. "So they already cut off all of their connections with you, huh?" Kevin said as if he had expected it. "Quite funny how a simple rumor or two destroyed all that hard work you've put in, huh? Wasn't the reason for your return today also because of it?" Kevin continued to taunt me.

"…" I was left speechless and stared at him out of pure hatred in my eyes, bloodlust, rage, everything. 'Why did this happen to me? What did I do wrong?' I asked myself, 'I don't deserve to be treated like this, do I?'

Out of pure rage, I ran straight and busted the window open, before dropping down to the ground. The moments felt so slow, every second felt like an eternity as if time itself slowed itself for me. 'Even if I were to live, I have no reason to live anymore…'

With that last thought of mine, I shut my eyes and fell to my death, 37 floors above ground. 'Goodbye world… wait… who am I even saying bye to? Everyone had already turned their backs on me. Be it friends, family, or lovers. They all had betrayed me… who is there for me to say bye to if I already have no reason to live?'

"Next life, I swear I'll make people pay for what they did to me, no matter what!" I swore at the last moment as I dropped from the building.

The momentary pain was felt by my whole body as I dropped to the ground, I felt my bones broken, my skull cracked, and my body shattered. I knew that I was a step from death. I envision that I am bathed in a pool of my blood, as my consciousness slowly dissipated. And finally, I was released from the burden of living.

Or so I thought… but it seems that the gods had other plans in mind for me.

A/N: How is it? Should I continue lol? I may continue with it also my guy will reincarnate in Genshin BUT he will work against the traveler, Lumine. (I feel like Lumine is better as Mc whereas Aether is good as the villain :D) also, discord because I don't know what people often use to text each other lol
