Chapter 8: feeling rejected

There were two kids standing near the entrance of Hanamizaka the third and lowest part of Inazuma located in the outskirts of Inazuma City. The second being Tenryou , the famous commercial Street, the busiest street in all of Inazuma, filled with several stores, restaurants and many other things. And the first and highest being Tenshukaku where the Almighty Raiden Shogun resides.

Those two kids really reminded Emiyo of a certain anime, a girl and a boy talking about what is on the other side of the ocean and stuff like that. But anyways, the boy wished to travel the world and see places like Liyue, Sumeru and Fontaine. The 'know it all' girl told him about those places, as if she was there and saw it with her own eyes, which was a lie and just entirely wrong. For example she told him about how Sumeru, the land of Dendro, is all made out of grass and people even drink grass... like what??? Kids imagination is just..

Right now Emiyo walked through the place and passed by a place called Naganohara fireworks. He saw a certain deaf man standing there, the father of an over energetic, fireworks loving girl with a Pyro Vision.

But the man didn't seem to notice Emiyo, so Emiyo just walked passed him. Not that he had anything to talk to him about. And even if he did, it would just be a pain in the ass.. since Emiyo would need to slowly shout out what he wants because of the whole 'being deaf' situation.

He didn't really know what he was supposed to do since he has accomplished his goal of reaching Inazuma city. Right now he was just wandering around. But the next most logical thing for him would be to sign up as an adventurer at the adventurers guild. Then do some commissions and earn some Mora, since he is very much broke right now.

Mora is the currency of Teyvat. Made by the Geo God himself - Morax, or as the common folk call him - Rex Lapis, the God of Contracts.

- Hanamizaka, Bantan Sango Detective Agency.

A young woman by the name of Sango, a detective at the Banyan Sango Detective Agency, around 26 years old of age, with fair skin, brown eyes and brown hair, wearing some typical Inazuman clothes for women: grey shorts and a short green kimono that had clouds designed on it.

She was looking at a poster with a picture of an unknown man. He was wearing a black Kimono with some stripes of golden at every edge. He had pitch black short hair, yellow almost golden eyes, broad shoulders, quite tall compared to an average man, and he had a face that was way too perfect to be real, it was as if sculpted by the most skilled artist.

'Why would the traveler comission us to find this man... who is he?... he and paimon even commissioned the adventurers guild' Sango thought at the moment while observing the picture of a man a woman could call perfect, appearance wise at least.

"Hm, I am not even sure where to start, I have no information about this man, only that his name is Emiyo.. the traveler has helped us so many times by now, we can not simply refuse this..." She seemingly sighed.

She was about to walk into the agency, but she heard a sneeze

"ACHOOO!"

'hmm... who is talking about me..' Emiyo thought but then remembered something 'Well it's no surprise really, just as I stepped inside of Inazuma city, everyone's eyes were on me... as if they never seen a man before..'

"OH MY GOD! FOUND YA!" Emiyo heard a shout from his right side and saw a woman looking at him with wide eyes.

'Oh... the detective... what does she want...'

"STOP RIGHT THERE!" She shout out again.

"ok"

[Ah yes, submissive]

'I won't even argue, I would let her bread me' Emiyo answered without hesitation.

[dude, what?]

'You heard me, I really wouldn't mind'

[ok]

'...'

[...]

Sango quickly ran up to Emiyo and grabbed his arm, "You come with me"

"Sure, but if I may ask, where are you taking a random stranger out of nowhere?" Emiyo.

"...I don't know, this is unexpected for me as well, I didn't think it would be that easy to find you" Sango exclaimed, "Just stay here for now"

She brought him into the agency.

"Don't you think I can easily make a run for it or just simply resist" Emiyo pointed out.

"Well you didn't run away when I shouted" Sango turned and looked at him. 'I am such a dumbass, why would I shout at a person that is supposedly missing or has run away ... well at least he is cooperative and stayed in place"

"How long are we gonna look each other in the eyes like that?" Emiyo leaned closer.

"We won't! just stay here for a while!" Sango pushed him away and ran out of the agency.

"What was that just now... she never behaved like that in-game... and why do I feel kind of rejected right now .." Emiyo sat down on a sofa meant for guests.

[She was just overwhelmed by something]

'well no shit I got eyes, I kinda hope it's not because of me'

[Isn't she a little bit too basic for your taste?]

'No woman is basic, until she proves she is basic. I have a weird interest in her, can't do anything about it, we will see how it goes'

"Anyways why did she bring me here anyways.."

- The Adventurers guild.

"What?! The traveler has already left?? To Sumeru??" Sango looked at a women with a German style maid outfit, green eyes and shoulder length black hair.

"..." Katheryne, the receptionist of the adventurers guild just kept smiling at Detective Sango.
