Chapter 39

After listening to both Nicolas and Dr. James' story, there was one thing clear they were insane. Not evil but insane they killed the town's people and took control of them and the town, even they were evil but what the hell? What did I get myself involve with?

"Okay I get the story but why would you bring people into this island and give them weapons?" I said to him.

"What? no, we did not do that, that's absurd" said Nicolas.

"And give people weapons that's insane, I have a feeling someone else send you here and those people," said Dr. James.

"And why did the undead kill them and try to kill us," said Ali.

"My undead are truly vicious they have my hatred and kill anyone in sight that's how they are, you just became a target of their savage desires," said Nicolas.

"Will you let us go? Let us off this island" said Ali.

"Yes we can," said Dr. James.

"Our purpose was to get revenge it was never to get innocent people involved," said Nicolas.

"How do I know that you are lying to me and once I go back I will get the police here," I said as I was suspicious of them.

"We have no regret even though we might go to prison or get a death sentence we finished our life's purpose and now we have nothing to lose," said Dr. James.

"Okay," I said and we walked outside the room.

"They said they will let get us off the island," I said to Sterben and Christie.

"What? then why would they..." said Christie.

"They didn't bring us here," I said.

"He's right they didn't," said Sterben as he draws his pistol and shoots Dr.James in the head, and quickly takes Nicolas hostage.

"Doc! no" shouted Nicolas.

"Sterben!" I said in anger

"Thank you, Ali, you and those people have been a great assistance to us," said Sterben.

"Now don't move and stay where you are," said Sterben as he took Nicolas outside to the hall. We followed them here.

"Now you order your undead to attack those 2 once we leave the hall, "said Sterben. Once Sterben and Nicolas got out of the hall, the two undead attacked us. I managed to counter both of them with my sword and ax. The ax belonged to that undead I first encountered I had Jeffery modified for me and put it in my bag just in case if I need it to fight the undead.

We were now in the hall, the two undead took off their mask and then their arms transformed into giant swords. Their one arm turned into a sword and they held a knife in the other.

"You handle the one on the right, I will handle the one on the left okay," said Christie.

"Bad idea let's just deal with them you shoot, I fight up close," I said to her.

"Fine that works," said Christie as she starts firing at them. They try to block bullets with their sword and charge towards I engaged into a fight with being able to avoid there was easy and delivering blows was also easy, I also made sure to dodge the bullets that Christie shot. However, things changed when they started attacking together in coordination. Both would attack at the same time and also they made sure to attack continuously so that I won't attack. I quickly backed off, at this rate I won't be able to finish them off and Christie will soon run out of bullets.

"Christie for how long can you handle one of them?" Is asked her.

"What?" said Christie.

"We need to separate them hold one-off until I finish the other "

"No problem," she said. She charges and starts fighting one of them while I take on the other. I could see that Christie was having a hard time taking that monster down but I know she will be able to handle it.

As for being able I was able to avoid his attacks I first block his sword with my ax the cut off his hand he backs off I threw my ax at him, he blocks with his sword then I quickly grab his knife and threw it at his face, it stabs his head and then I quickly cut his head off with my sword. The other undead slashed and cut Christie's rifle in half and stab her arm with his knife, but he could stab her should pull out her double-barrel shotgun and shoot him in the chest. I grabbed the knife from the undead and threw it at him stabbing him at the back of his head then quickly rushed and cut his head clean off with the sword.

"Christie are you okay," I asked her.

"Yeah I am fine it's just a scratch." I ripped my shirt off and wrapped it around the wound.

"Thanks," she said.

"We better get going," I said to her.

"Yeah" I grabbed my ax and their knives . Cause I would be needing them. We needed to hurry up as we inside the mansion I took a look outside from the window,a great number of undead were outside.

"Damn that's a lot of them," said Christie.

"We need to find a way to make it through them, "I said to her.

"They might have a car in the garage"

"Right" we rushed to their garage and found a jeep.

"Sweet I drive" I pulled out an Ar-15 which Sterben threw, from the bag, and handed to Christie "you shoot".

"I wanted to drive," said Christie.

"Your a better shot than me," I said to her. I drove the jeep out of the garage and rammed through the undead . Christie shot them and made sure they don't get in the car. We made it out of the city as we were driving we saw a plane fly over us.

"Is that c130?" I said.

"Yeah maybe that's their ticket out of here," said Christie.
