I'm actually having fun today.
Or maybe I'm just buzzed.
Either way, I'm having a good time here. I'm now more familiar with the women at the table. There's Meredith at the head of the table to my right; her husband's niece Emery across from me; the woman next to her is Julia, Jax's mother; Tessa and Celine, who are Meredith and Julia's friends and wives of their husbands' close friends; and lastly, Vanka Petrov, sitting to my left. She's the only daughter of the main family of the Petrovs.
Meredith has been a very good host, always including me in the conversation, asking for my thoughts on whatever the topic is that varies from fashion, trends, and lifestyle. She always has something to talk about. But she isn't a loud person. She's very friendly and loves to chat.
I can't say the same for Emery though. She practically ignores me the entire time—thank god. But then she maintains a condescending expression whenever Meredith and the others talk to me.
