Accusation!
She was dumbfounded for a while and so was petrified because of the abrupt change in his tone and words.
From her heart, she could feel the deepest urge to correct his misunderstanding but her past made her reluctant.
It wasn't very similar but just like her past life, she was blamed for something she had not done and thought about.
Despite his suspicious eyes befalling upon her, she didn't correct his misunderstanding – it's just that she didn't wish to.
"…now that I have handed the gift to you, I will be taking my leave," she showed courtesy as she stood up elegantly and nodded before turning her gaze away and leaving.
But Luv Serta wasn't satisfied with how she dodged his question and accusation and started to walk as if nothing really happened.
It was impossible for him to let her go without an argument and just when he stood making a noise and giving her a furious look, she understood – this man was asking for a beating!
"Hold on. Who told you to leave? Is it because I said some bitter truth?" he chuckled but his fierce eyes kept mocking her.
Squinting her eyes, she let out a chuckle. Cynthia was deeply annoyed but that didn't make her forget about looking at her watch.
There wasn't much time left for her to make it and steal the child from the cruel and ruthless researchers' hands. She was running late but this impudent bastard was taking and wasting her time on useless words.
And also, there was that feeling and urge to stop that faulty accusation which even she didn't know why she was wishing to get rid of it deep inside her.
It must also be a part of her that she kept hiding from herself afraid that she might lose her mind.
And then she lied to herself – because he is my brother's best friend, I should tell him the truth and not because I care about what others think.
She again took a look at the watch and said, "My brother is not kidnapped neither something has happened to him, he just went away on his own accord".
"I didn't wish for my parent's company to have an outsider successor even if it is for temporary purpose, so I decided to be the temporary hire".
She thought this much could stop his mind from running uselessly but he become more hostile toward her. His eyebrows squinted and teeth clenched as she stopped talking.
Seemed like he misunderstood her more deeply.
"Hmph… you are so sure that nothing happened to your brother, is it because you did something to him yourself".
There was no end to his suspicion and that cold and freezing look.
Cynthia gave up as she let out a deep sigh and narrowed her eyes toward the door.
In the end, no one was ready to believe her and bad rumours will always surround her no matter whether she is reborn or not.
Without looking back, she said with no hope to clear this accusation, "Anyway, my parents went to capital because they got some news on him and right now, this company is under my command, so I don't care what you think".
She opened the door and walked out. Her shoulder slightly bumped into someone, but she was not in the mood of apologizing, so without turning back, she walked away.
Meanwhile Ed who was bumped into become paralyzed for a while until Luv came running and stared at him in surprise.
He was sure that Ed just bumped into someone, so he asked cautiously, "Are you alright?".
"Uh-hm… my clothes protected me," he said showing no worry but in actuality his heart was knocking on his chest so loudly that sweats drowned his face and body but he continued to act carefree while feeling his body which showed no reaction of panic attack or the disgusting feeling of nauseous.
He was getting none.
"I just came looking for the twins. They told me that they were in the waiting room, but I guess I got into the wrong room," he didn't even stop for Luv to have some time to talk and left.

On a highway closer to the HT19 Building, a big black MPV was passing through it.
When it reached the silent area of the highway surrounded by tress from both sides, it finally stopped after two cars blocked its path abruptly.
The ominous highway under the dark starry sky without any humans become more ominous when someone from the MPV stepped out with pistol hiding under sleeves.
From how it looked, there was only one MPV and a stern gangster walking out in casual clothes cautiously but there was something else that was hidden.
Ed walked out wearing a mask on his mouth and the twins followed him. Whereas from the other car five bodyguards walked out and followed Ed and the twins.
From the atmosphere, it was quite clear about what was going on and what will happen later but unfortunately Ed and his people were off-guard seeing only one person with a pistol hidden that wasn't hidden at all.
