Chapter 6

  Erika's POV

I summoned a sword and slashed it at him.

He didn't move the slightest until my

sword touched his hair. Suddenly, he raised his hand, held my wrist, and

  tightened his grip.

I didn't even see clearly how he did

it and the sudden pressure on my hand made me frown. The sword dropped to the

  ground.

Before I could give him another blow

with another hand, he wrapped his arms around my body. His chest was like a

wall. I guessed he could lift me in the air with one hand and throw me 10 feet

  away.

"I like your little trick. You

can show me after we go back to our territory," he sneered.

Then he pushed me to the ground. My

head hit the stump that I just sat on.

I tried to get up but my arm felt

weak and my head was dizzy.

  "I got you," he said

  playfully as he crouched down.

No! That wouldn’t happen. I struggled

to get up. But he gave me another blow on my neck and I blacked out.

I vaguely heard people talking and I was woken up.

"OK. She’s your mate now. She can live with

you in your territory. But in this case, my pack will lose our Gamma." It

was Charles’s voice. Who was he talking about?.

"It's none of my business. She is my mate and

I will take her away. She'll be the Luna of my pack. Now that you’ve lost your

Gamma, I agree to form an alliance with your pack against the West Fork Pack in

exchange." Derek’s voice sounded. It sounded sexier because coming above

  my head.

Now I understood it. Derek wanted to take me away.

No, that was unfair to me. I was already a Gamma. How could I become his Luna?

  "Deal," Charles said without hesitation.

I couldn’t believe my ears. Charles traded the best

warrior in his pack for the protection of the pack. I trained his warriors and

killed rogues for him and he traded me without hesitation. What a coward! He

didn’t even ask my opinion! What was he thinking about?

"Open your eyes. I know you heard it,

  mate."

Realizing that Derek said it to me, I sat up from

his arms and glared at him. Only at this time did I notice that Derek’s men and

all the leaders of the Fly Rock Pack were present. Charles gave me a

you-don't-belong-to-our-pack-anymore look and averted his gaze. The others

leaders lowered their heads. Their reactions made my heart sink.

"I’ll ask someone to pack your things."

Charles cleared his throat and said.

"No need. We’ll leave as soon as possible. I

can buy her new things after we arrive. We’ll talk about cooperation

further." After that, he signaled his men to leave.

So Derek wanted to take me to his territory as his

mate and my pack wouldn’t do anything about it. I was all on my own and I

wouldn’t go to his pack and obey their fucking old traditions.

I mustered all my force and punched Alpha in his

jaw. He didn’t even lift a finger to stop me because I was too dizzy to cause

any harm. Instead, he threatened, "Sleep or I’ll make you

  unconscious."

I glared at him as a provocation.

  "Understand?" He clenched my shoulders

and asked in a more serious tone.

  I glowered at him.

"What’s the problem with you?" He

squeezed my chin and grew impatient.

I shook my head wildly, trying to get rid of his

hand, but he tightened his grip and growled, "Say something or I’ll pluck

your tongue out of your mouth. It’s not bad to have a mute mate."

  "Alpha Derek,

she can’t talk!" Orsen stood up immediately and explained.

Derek released his grip on my chin and looked at

Charles in confusion. Then Derek's eyes fell on my lips.

"It's true. It's a long story. After you mark

her, you can communicate with her through mind-link. She'll tell you what

  happened." Charles sighed and explained.

"OK." Derek nodded. A faint smile

appeared on his face. It seemed that he was really thinking about marking me.

  That wouldn't happen!

I used all my force, summoned a dart, tried to

throw it into Derek’s chest. But the moment my hand touched the handle, I felt

a stinging pain in my palm. So I dropped it immediately. God, what just

  happened? What was his gift?

A chuckle sounded above my head.

"Stop fighting me. You will only hurt

yourself. Say goodbye to your former pack and we’ll leave for our pack."

I tried to stand up. But he swept me off my feet

and held me in a bridal style. I had never been held this way. To be precise, I

had never been held by anybody. I was too shocked to reject him.

Derek shoved me into his SUV brutally and got in

the car. The driver started the car.

The moment the car started, I was car sick. I

forced myself to fall asleep in case I might vomit. But I wouldn't give up

escaping. The game had just begun.

  Derek’s POV

What a pleasant surprise. I didn’t want anything to

do with Charles and his pack. But who would have thought that I could meet my

mate during the visit, although I hadn’t seen her face now?

There were so many mysteries about her, her veil,

her fighting skills, and her nerve to fight me. She had an awesome gift of

summoning daggers, though she would become my Luna and didn’t need to use her

  gift anymore.

Charles was such a wimp as to allow a woman to be

their Gamma. I could tell that she must have killed many people. She was quick

at throwing daggers at me. Poor girl, I would protect her from now on and she

  didn’t need to fight anymore.

She was still frowning in her sleep.

I looked at her swollen forehead and sighed. Did it

hurt badly? She must hate me for being cruel to her, but she didn't know what a

wrench it was for me to hurt my mate. My wolf was growling at me when I hurt

her. But I had no choice.

"Submit, mate." I whispered to her ears

and kissed her on the swollen forehead.
