14 You are the villain

"Xaddrin," Zhakhil woke up from his bad dream in screams. He had a bad dream that his dragon had gone away from him, to a place that he couldn't reach no matter what he tried.

He sat up on the bed, his breathing was heavy from worry. He had to make sure that his dragon was okay. After all, he was his dragon's first ray of dawn, with his presence he was bound to be happy.

Zhakhil got up from the bed and walked to the table to turn on the lanterns. He felt for the table it wasn't there, the room was too dark for him to see much.

"I wonder if he moved the table from here," he thought. He went on to the door, he knew the house by heart and didn't need light to find his way.

He walked towards the door, he hurried there. "Argh," he screamed as he hit his head in the wall.

There was no door, his heart was hurting more than his head. His heart was never wrong, so he knew that it was not his home that he was standing in. And that meant that there was no dragon either.

The reality was harsh, he had fallen asleep and dreant of his reality and mistook it for a dream. He hated to wake up from his dreams in the past, as it meant separating from the dragon that he could touch but now, he hated both his dreams and his reality.

Both reflected to him what he had lost. Something that he could have it back. He dropped to the ground, tears flower down his cheeks, the truth was so bitter for him to bear.

His dragon was his life and now that he was gone, his life had cone to a standstill. He had no way forward and couldn't look back either.

"I miss you more than words," he cried out loud. Every breath he took ass torture to him, he was growing further and further away from the love of his life and he couldn't do anything about it.

"Love can always be won," he heard inside the dark room. "But those who win are those who fight and remain on the battle field," the person added.

Zhakhil wiped his tears away. He stood up from the ground to face the person who spoke.

"It is easier to preach but please tell me what experience do you have and what victory you have to show for yourself," he fired back.

The lantern near the bed was lit. He found that he was arguing only with the knight. After everything that he had lost all because of the man, he found it truly insulting to have him preach to him about love.

"It is better to fight for love that to watch it fade away," Adran advised. "Instead of laying around here crying for what you lost. Why dont you chase him and fight for your love?"

Zhakhil glared at Adran with bitterness. If it were that easy surely he would have done it. But where was he supposed to find Xaddrin. The dragon had left without even leaving him a clue of where he was going or how to find him.

"You are the one who ruined everything. Why did you walk into my life?" He questioned angrily. The knight was acting all high and mighty before him when he was the cause of all his pain.

He didn't know pain until the knight walked into his life. He had a peaceful life and everything was fine until the cursed knight decided to save him.

"I didn't need any saving until you arrived. Now I need saving because I am drowning in my own blood and suffocating in my breath. And you are to blame," he informed to Adran.

Adran was speechless, he didn't expect to be accused on the spot like that. He was simply trying to give him advice as not to allow him watch his love fade away without a fight.

But ended up being made the villain of the story. In truth, it all made sense. If he hadn't walked into their lives. The two of them would have continued to live together in the tower.

His entry caused all the distance between them. "He only left me because you attacked him. In the name of saving me you attacked the only person who I have known to trust since forever," he let out. "And for that, I will forever hate you," he added.

Adrian was left without words. He could be refute his words at all. "You are the Villain of my love story," Zhakhil stated.
