Chapter - 13

The concert was starting. The animatronics were in a special area, overlooking everything but out of the way. Ron's task was to make sure that the Happy Man did not go into the repair bay while Kim and Yori were down there. A simple but important task. Ron was currently hiding; he had a walkie-talkie to warn the girls in case anything happens.

Said radio suddenly burst to life. On the other end was Kim saying, "Radio check, Ron can you hear me?" Ron picked up and answered, "Yeah K.P. it's all good." Kim responded, "Alright, this area is very poorly lit, we're going to try find a light switch or something, remember keep an eye out, if you spot the Happy Man warn us and then try to distract him."

Ron replied, "Got it, good luck, over and out." Ron could hear the music playing, it was quite catchy, perhaps after this is done, he should look into their songs. The first one sounded like an introductory song, declaring that they are the Hex Girls. More songs played, still nothing from the girls.

Then suddenly a familiar individual rushed past him and headed straight through the door. It took Ron a second to register what happened, when he did, he immediately pulled out the radio and said, "K.P. I don't know what you did, but the Happy Man just rushed right by me and is heading towards you right now, he can be there any second."

Ron didn't hear a response; he was too distracted by the beeping noise right next to him. When he turned to face the source, he found a staff bot looking right at him. Ron could only give a nervous chuckle in response to the situation he was in.

Kim had just finished testing the radio. The place was just lit enough that someone like her wouldn't bump into anything, but she honestly couldn't identify anything. After some searching, Yori had found a pair of light switches. Both set in opposite directions.

Yori flipped one, and what little lighting they had, had gone out.

Yori immediately corrected, then she tried the other one. That was when everything got brighter. After adjusting to the properly lit room, Kim saw everything. There was a bunch of crazy looking machines, Kim couldn't guess what any of it does. On the table she notices what looks like freshly made costumes. She then noticed metal skeletons and assumed that the Happy Man was in the middle of creating new animatronic helpers.

That was when she noticed the metal doors. On them was a picture of Freddy Fazbear, and a word bubble of him saying, "Dangerous, Keep out no matter what, area off limits."

That stood out, after all, technically only the Happy Man should come down here, so only he would see this message. Thus, could be the entrance to the secret lair, or it could be something dangerous that she could use to force the Happy Man to spill his secrets. As she approached the door, she noted the security lock was seriously heavy duty. Could take her a minute or two to break.

Then her radio went active, and she heard Ron say, "K.P. I don't know what you did, but the Happy Man just rushed right by me and is heading towards you right now, he can be there any second."

She immediately turned to face Yuri to tell her that they needed to hide. However, she never got the chance. The Happy Man was standing behind Yori, hand over her mouth. The expression on his face said it all, he was not happy.

...

Kim, Ron, and Yori were sitting in front of the restaurant. The Happy Man told them that he understood that she was going through a difficult time, so they wouldn't be banned, but if he caught them again then the police would have to be involved. What was truly annoying Kim was the potential fact that all the answers she seeks were just on the other side of that door.

The concert was over, and people were starting to clear out. When suddenly a woman in a white rabbit costume was standing in front of them. The rabbit said, "Hi, I'm Vanessa, I'm sorry if I'm intruding but you look like you could use some help."

Kim said, "Thanks for the offer, Vanessa, but unless you have a way of getting into this place after it locks down, I'm not sure what you could offer."

Vanessa took off her mask, revealing a young woman with blonde hair. Vanessa answered, "Well I did use to run security at the previous location, so I could tell you this place won't enter lock-down until the guest band leaves. So, if you can convince the band to stick around, you can probably buy yourself some more time."

Then another voice said, "Umm, if you have a good reason, we can help you, we're actually good friends with the Hex Girls." They all turned to see a small group of five. Two boys, two girls, and a Great Dane. Kim explained the situation and what she found in the repair bay. They introduced themselves as Mystery Incorporated. The one called Velma responded, "That is indeed extremely suspicious, I'm sure Thorn, Dusk, and Luna will be happy to help. We better hurry, we don't want to miss them."

Vanessa led them to the back entrance for guest stars. The door was open, but there was no sign of anyone, anywhere. After they entered, the Hex Girls' tour bus roared to life and took off. For a second, everyone thought they missed the girls, but Daphne noticed that their instruments were still here.

Vanessa said, "Something is very wrong here, the last time I entered a Fazbear Pizzeria, when it had this kind of atmosphere, a very bad man was running it from behind the scenes." Then suddenly a loud noise could be heard echoing all over, they place had entered a lock-down.

Kim realizing the situation decided to ask, "Vanessa, you said you used to work security at the last location. By chance do you know the real story behind this franchise?" Vanessa looked at them and noted that they all wanted the truth. Especially since their lives could be in very real danger.

Vanessa took a deep breath and then said, "The truth is that most of the Fazbear family was created by a sadistic serial killer, despite having children he had no love for them. When his children died, he used that as an excuse to go after their friends. Almost every animatronic in here from Freddy Fazbear to Glamrock Freddy, has had a body stuffed into them, and their ghost bound to it. The reason why they are so lifelike and why they'll interact with you like real people is because each one of them is haunted."

They stared at her with disbelief, she continued, "I understand your reluctance to believe, I couldn't believe it either when I first heard it, that was until I met William Afton, at the time however, he was called Glicthtrap." Vanessa explained Afton's goal for his own physical body.

Kim then remembered when she first met the Happy Man, and his she thought he was human. She then asked, "Hey, would the Happy Man meet Afton's criteria for a body?" Vanessa had a look consumed in despair by the realization. Vanessa said, "That would explain why we missed the band leaving. Because they didn't, if Afton is secretly the Happy man... we are in serious trouble. Afton isn't known for letting prey escape if he doesn't have to, and he doesn't keep them alive a single moment longer than necessary." While Fred, Daphne, and Velma were still reluctant to believe the ghost story, they weren't willing to take the chance that their friends might be in trouble. They all immediately rushed towards the door to the repair bay. As they approached, they heard a voice say, "None of you should be here." They turned to see the Happy Man there, clearly not happy. The other animatronics were a little farther behind him. Yori stepped forward pulling out a metal bo staff, she said, "Go, as atonement for my failure earlier I'll hold him off." Ron and Fred decided to stay and help, because she was not going to be able to stall all of them by herself.

Yori was adamant on avenging her honor. The one called Fred was quickly preparing traps and other defensive measures. The speed at which he was working was impressive. Yori focused on the task at hand.

As she entered a combat stance, Yori made sure to keep the Happy Man in front of her at all times. He tried to approach, but Yori swung her staff, signaling that she was not messing around.

The Happy Man took his cane and entered his own stance. They exchanged a series of blows and parries. Yori quickly realized the Happy Man was not trying to overpower her, which he could, no, he was trying to ware her down. It made no sense if he was against the clock, then she remembered there was a second entrance to the repair bay. Yori was willing to wager that not all the animatronics were there.

The realization that she had been deceived for the second time made her angry. The fury was clouding her judgment, so when she saw an opening, she didn't hesitate to take advantage. She leaped up prepared to finish this, when she heard Possible-San yell, "Yori! Don't!" To late however, as Yori's staff had hit its mark. Perhaps because of the anger and adrenaline, Yori had it hit the Happy Man harder than she meant to. Her staff had actually impaled him. Every instinct in her body told her she just made a grave mistake.

Kim and Vanessa were working on the lock while the others were looking around. The fact that they found some of Thorn's jewelry here had them worried. Honestly, Kim was more concerned about the elevator. When they arrived, the motor was running signifying that the elevator was on its way up.

She didn't know what was crazier, the fact that this restaurant is apparently full of haunted animatronics, or the most knowledgeable person on the matter, was a woman who was currently wearing a full bunny costume. No matter the situation though, it does not bode well for her mother. Her mind thought of her friend Monique, was she a victim of this Afton, did she really die in a fire, or did something happen before hand. These thoughts were threatening to break her, but she pushed through. When they got the lock removed, everyone gathered at the door. Vanessa noticed a switch by the door and flipped it, it didn't affect the room so no one else noticed.

The door opened and the interior lights flickered on. It was a single room, but what had everyone's attention was the fact that there was four, nightmare inducing, versions of the original Fazbear Gang. The Nightmares had been momentarily distracted by the fact that their room actually had lights. Then they turned to the door, their eyes glowing red, they rushed at the door.

Vanessa immediately shut the door, the others braced it, while Kim restored the lock. The Nightmares pounded on the door, then Vanessa hit the switch. Suddenly the banging stopped. Shaggy said, "Like, what were those things, they were scarier than any other monster I've seen, and trust me when I say I've seen my share of terrifying monster!"

Vanessa didn't answer instead she said, "Those red eyes are tell-tale signs that Afton is influencing them, but that makes no sense, if Afton is the Happy Man and has access to things like those, then there is no reason for him not to use them." Then she was silent for a moment, then she turned to Kim and asked, "Kim, what were your first interactions with the Happy Man like?"

Kim answered, "He acted like a typical caretaker, protective of the animatronics, uh." Vanessa interrupted saying, "Wait! Did you say he was protective? William Afton is a sociopath, who doesn't care about anything or anyone, least of all his victims." Vanessa was still, the mask made it difficult to determine what she was thinking. Then Vanessa asked, "By chance, was there any incidents that happened before this place was built?"

Velma answered, "Well... uhm... yes. The eldest son of the engineer who created the Happy Man was killed stopping a break-in." Vanessa turned to face Velma, then while using hand gestures, said, "So, Afton is not in the Happy Man, he was meant too, but instead most likely it is the soul of the engineer's son. With Afton being denied a new body... William Afton is not the Happy Man, but William Afton is here. The Happy Man is probably the only thing right now keeping Afton from taking control over the other animatronics."

With that statement, Kim had a realization and said, "Yori!" Then she immediately ran back up the stairs, with everyone else running behind her trying to catch up wanting an explanation. Kim arrived in time to see Yori begin a leaping dive attack. She yelled, "Yori! Don't!" She couldn't get another word out before Yuri impaled the Happy Man with her staff. The staff was sticking out of H.M.'s chest, sparks started to shoot out as he fell backwards.

Then everything started flickering, from the lights to the P.A. system. Then a rather sinister laugh started to echo through the building. That was when Kim noticed the source, a yellow rabbit in a purple bow tie emerging from the V.I.P. area.
