FEARLESS ( THE SECRET MULTI-BILLIONAIRESS MADISON)

The breeze brushed past her sundress as she walked out of the airport. 

   "Oh, the smell of summer." she said to herself and smiled.

   " Miss Madison?" Someone called out and she turned to meet the familiar face of her driver, Max. He had insisted on coming with her to Canada even though she wanted to come alone, he had been so stubborn about it that she couldn't say no.

"Seems like Calgary hasn't changed much"

She smiled, counting the number of places that still looked so familiar. she looked eastward and her smile vanished instantly, pain evident in her eyes.

Calgary was Madison's hometown, a place she dreaded to be . It held lots of ugly and unpleasant memories. Her family members were brutally killed and she was separated from her daughter here.

Although it's been ten years now since she left, everything that happened was still fresh and vivid in her memory. she could still recall that night that everything and everybody in her life was taken away from her.

After carrying a baby in her womb successfully for nine months, she finally gave birth to a girl. She had been so weak that night.

Her baby was so beautiful that all the nurses that attended to her couldn't help staring at her. How sweet it would've been if only Alex was there with her but he was nowhere to be found. He had told her the day before that he would be coming to the hospital. But now, he didn't show up. She had a bad feeling about that. Could he have abandoned her? or perhaps it was the work of his family. She tried calling him on the phone but the call couldn't get through.

Afterwards, she drifted off to sleep, only to wake up and find herself in an unknown and godforsaken wilderness crossroads.

Five burly men walked up to her wearing mean faces. They showed her a video of how her family members were slaughtered brutally and warned her never to step foot in Canada again. She was so bitter. Why in God's name was this happening to her? She asked about her baby and Alex. They told her that her baby was dead and that Alex was the one that sent them.

She then purposed in her heart to make a name for herself, become successful and avenge the death of her family members.

Ten years had passed now and she finally returned after becoming extremely rich and achieving great success.

"We've arrived" Max announced as he drove in through the remote controlled electric gate.

Madison jolted out of her thoughts. She looked at the luxurious villa and nodded approval.

The villa was by all standards beautiful and it was situated in the costliest and most classy area in the city. It wasn't as beautiful as the other luxurious buildings she owned all over the world.

There were two floors in the villa, with four bedrooms (two master suites and two guest rooms) and four bathrooms as well as a five thousand square meter garden. Exotic hardwood flooring was laid throughout the house.

The villa was top notch in Calgary and even in the whole of Alberta . It had an infinity and heated private swimming pool, Cinema room, Gym, Massage room, Games room, Yoga room and a Tennis court.

She got out of the car and stood still, deep in thought. She had a lot to do, first to find out more about her daughter whom she hadn't met since her birth and then to pay Adrian, her cousin and only family a visit. She knew she was nervous to meet her daughter, she kept thinking of how she'll react when she sees her, if she will like her or hate her for abandoning her.

"Ahhh, Madison," Max said with a grin as he walked towards where she was standing He studied her closely and realized that she looked sick. He had never seen anyone so pale. "Are you okay? If you're not ready for this, we could still go back to the airport and book a flight back"

"No, I'm fine, just thinking"

"You'll lose a lot of weight, without achieving anything if you keep thinking like this" He looked worried about her and she was touched.

Max was more like a brother to her than a driver. He gives her advice and counsels her, she couldn't bear to lose him at all.

"Go inside, I'll pack the luggages" He said softly and she obeyed.

She entered the insanely extravagant and elegantly furnished living room. Each corner of the was beautifully carved, and the designs were made with extreme care. It was painted with Marin blue and white paint, and the chandelier that hung from the ceiling illuminated the entire room making it look like a castle in a fairytale.

She quickly had a warm bath and cooked something up for herself and Max. If there was anything Madison loved doing, it was definitely cooking. Cooking gave her a special kind of joy.

In the evening, she and Max went out for shopping. She wanted to give Adrian a gift when she later goes to pay him a visit, and she also wanted to buy some designer clothes and shoes for her daughter if they met later on.

As Madison and Max entered the boutique and antique store, several heads turned to their direction. Everyone was staring at her in admiration. She was indeed a true beauty. Most of them had almost never seen anyone as beautiful as this all their lives.

"who is this lady?"

"I think she's new around here"

"such beauty is really rare"

"she's so natural"

"I think I love her already"

"I would go to heaven if I get to sleep with her"

"Don't push your luck fool, she obviously has a man with her"

"really, who is that man beside her"

"could he be her husband?"

"wow!! he's so lucky"

Madison heard all the comments that was being passed about her, and she smiled inwardly. She had gotten used to hearing comments like this. She looked at Max who was standing beside her and he smiled at her, he must have heard what those people said.

The store had three floors with various rooms. She looked around and found nothing that caught her attention. The store was a popular place for luxury items in Calgary. The two of them climbed the stairs by the right that led to the second floor.

Although Madison knew so much about antiques, she nevertheless asked Max to help her in choosing an item for Adrian. Since he was a Man, he would know what's best for Adrian. She moved to the boutique section and took a quick glance at the displayed clothes then something caught her attention.

It was a knee-length blue designer gown. Blue was just her thing, she loved anything blue so she immediately fell in love with the cloth and hoped her daughter would love it too. She moved towards the cloth to touch and feel the texture. It was indeed very beautiful especially up close.

A young saleswomen added up to her with a smile. "hello ma, is there anything I can help you with?

Seeing her behaviour, Madison was pleased. This store was indeed good, not only did they have beautiful items, but they also had well trained and well behaved salespersons.

"I would like to purchase this beautiful gown" She answered, smiling back at the salesgirl

"This gown is actually a top brand and a limited edition. It also costs a lot more than standard clothing. Are you sure about this or you would look at other items?"

"I'm sure" she replied

"Ok then ma. The gown costs one million dollars. how would you like to pay?"

She brought out her card and handed it to the saleswoman. The cloth was packed in a box and handed back to her with her card.

"What would you like to buy again? the sales girl asked politely.

"I would like to get a gift for a little girl of about ten years old. Could you recommend some items to me"

"what's your budget ma?"

"About a million dollars". The sales girl stared at her for a long and then said,

" She must be your daughter" She hasn't seen any customer that would actually buy an item worth a million dollars for such a little girl. It was amazing.

"I noticed earlier that you took a liking to blue colour, so I would recommend this necklace with blue diamond pendant to you. It costs 800 thousand dollars and it's a limited edition. We have only two in the store." She said taking out the jewelry.

The pendant was beautiful and she loved it instantly. she collected the jewelry from the sales girl and a smile was plastered on her face. she imagined when she'll actually be giving it to her daughter.

Then she heard the voice. At first, it was faint, then it got louder and she could hear it clearly. The voice was painfully familiar. It belonged to the only man she had ever fallen in love with and also the father of her daughter.

.....no way!!!

.....why would he be here?

.....what was he doing here?

..... could he be married now and had come to shop with his wife?

All these thoughts flashed through her mind. She walked towards where she had heard the voice earlier to confirm if it really was him.

Lo and behold, Alex stood there, looking as handsome as ever. His features were still the same, just that he looked more mature. He was inquiring about some antique.

Madison looked around him and noticed a lady with a beautiful face, standing beside him.

------ could she be ...???

She quickly dismissed the thought as soon as it came. She was looking at him but he couldn't see her.

Alex wrapped his hand around the lady's waist and Madison subconsciously dropped the jewelry that she was holding.

Clang!!!

The loud sound of the pendant hitting the ground drew Alex's attention. He looked behind him and saw the one person he never thought he would see again.

"was she not dead?"

His parent had told him then that Madison abandoned their daughter and ran away because she didn't truly love him. Few months after she left, they told him she was dead.

'so what and who exactly is this?'

'what really happened?'

'was he or his eyes were playing some sort of trick on him'

At this moment, Max who had been helping Madison to select the best antique to give to Adrian came to stand beside her. He had selected an exquisite flower vase and had already paid for it. As soon as Alex saw him beside Madison, he quickly looked away from her and walked out of the store immediately.

Luckily, as the jewelry was of high quality, no damage was caused. Madison picked it from the floor and paid for it.

With a dull expression, she left the store with Max.
