Artoria's past III

Not long after Artoria was chosen as the next ruler of Camelot, Uther Pendragon, the current king, met an unexpected end.

He died in battle while he was up against the barbarians trying to attack the kingdom. Artoria was soon made the new king of Camelot.

And not once did she feel overwhelmed by the task and responsibilities, she knew she would face trials the moment she lifted the sword from the stone.

Merlin was nowhere to be found after Artoria became king, leaving her to fend for herself in royalty.

If people found out she was a woman and not a man, she felt she would be disrespected and her leadership would be questioned.

So every day, she would wear a full body armor that showed only her face and covered the rest of her body.

She was considered extremely pretty even with the armor she had on, and she ruled over Camelot for 15 years.

And during those times they had gone to war 11 times and never lost a single one, she was fair and just but people still questioned if she had a heart or not.

Artoria entered her room to pull off her armor when she heard a knock on the door, "Hold on" She uttered.

She wore her armor back on and sat on the bed, "Come in".

Lancelot walked into the room with a smile on his face, "Am i disturbing you My Lord" he uttered.

He was Artoria's closest friend and one of the few people that knows the secret about her gender.

"Lancelot," Artoria sighed before standing to her feet, "What brings you here?" She asked.

"I noticed something while my men and I were clearing the battlefield, the people are starting to ask questions" Lancelot voiced out.

"What do you mean?" Artoria asked, she wasn't sure exactly but she knew it couldn't be good.

"The question of why you haven't sought to get a bride yet has become the talk of the kingdom, some people suspect you don't plan to have an heir, if this goes on it could expose your secret".

Looking outside the window Artoria sighed, "It was bound to happen eventually, what do you suggest I do?" She asked.

"I'm glad you ask, what if you get married to a princess".

Artoria immediately turned to look at Lancelot with a surprised expression, "What rubbish are you spouting out Lancelot!".

"Hear me out my lord, this marriage doesn't have to be real, it could be... for show, just to throw the people away from the subject"

"My gender will be out in the open for whoever I marry to use against me" Artoria voiced out.

"Not entirely, the people of Scotland have always wanted our protection against their Invaders, if negotiated, it will work out." Lancelot smiled.

"Scotland…" She muttered.

The next week, they held a meeting with Scotland, the king Leodegrance was present, and his daughter Guinevere.

They discussed the marriage and both Lancelot and Arstoria were shocked when Guinevere suddenly accepted with no condition.

The marriage took place and the suspicion of Artoria's gender died down, Guinevere was shocked when she found out the king she had always fantasized about was a female.

She felt hurt and betrayed but she didn't go out of her way to expose the truth, instead she felt lonely and unloved.

Lancelot, Artoria's best friend saw this and began having an affair with her and didn't tell the Artoria about it.

Artoria sat down at the dining table with Morgana, and Guinevere alongside her.

Morgana suddenly raised a question that changed the atmosphere of the breakfast they were having.

"King Arthur, why haven't you considered mating with the queen to have an heir," Morgana asked.

Artoria dropped her spoon before standing up from the chair, "Watch your mouth Morgana" She uttered before storming off.

Before Merlin disappeared, he cast a spell on Artoria, turning her into a Pseudo male with the aim of having her gain an heir.

She was very well against it but her protest was ignored. One night when Artoria was sleeping Morgana used a sleeping spell on her.

During this time, she took some of Artoria's sperm and placed it in her ovary and all this was without Artoria's knowledge.

Three years after that, a male knight was recommended by Morgana to join the knights of the round table.

He went by the name Morgred, he became a strong warrior as soon as he joined and his name was soon known.

Although he also had a secret of his own, Morgred was a girl disguised as a man so she could join the round table.

And she was also the product of Artoria's sperm, a homunculus that was raised by Morgana. Morgred growth was rapid due to the fact that she was a homunculus.

When Morgana deemed the time was right, she introduced Morgred to her mother Artoria.

But Artoria didn't accept this, she turned her back at them and denied ever having a son/daughter.

Morgred was furious, she was angered at the thought that Artoria rejected her because she wasn't human but an Homunculus.

During these times something jaw shocking happened again, one of the greatest knights in Camelot Lancelot was found cheating with the king's wife Guinevere.

The knights of the round table were furious and requested that Artoria behead him as punishment.

Artoria also refused this, she knew Lancelot's reason for doing this, but she didn't hold it against him.

Instead she relieved him of his duty as the knights of the round table and was exiled from the kingdom.

Lancelot knew why Artoria exiled him instead of persecution, he was wondering why she would forgive him, he begged for her to punish him but she still refused.

Guinevere, who was already madly in love with Lancelot, was forced to run away with him.

After a few weeks , news of the Roman army charging toward Camelot was sent to Artoria.

She knew the war was going to be tough, the roman empire was never one to be trifled with.

Along her was 500 men who were willing to lay their lives to drive the Roman soldiers back.

Artoria brought with her, her two most prized weapons, Rhongomyniad and Excalibur. The war was tough as each side was pushing in.

The war took a total of three days and nights, but on the fourth day was when the war would end.

Camelot was victorious but they had lost a lot of good soldiers in that battle, they went back by horse to their Kingdom, ready to celebrate their victory once again.

Artoria was shocked by what she saw when she went back, her Kingdom was set to flames and barbarians had entered the kingdom causing chaos while she was away.
