Falling In Love With Jeremy

Jason Baker and Jeremy Lynch were best friends and that's all they will ever be. Even when Jeremy would send Jason's temperature high, whispering sweet words in his ears, even when he blushed at every compliment Jeremy threw his way, he would always refer to Jeremy as his best-friend. But one night, after the two had gone out together to drink, sex had followed after and Jason finds himself questioning a lot more than the title of his relationship with Jeremy.

Chapter 7

"So, are you going to talk, or should I ask the first question," Jeremy said to him, few seconds after Matt had left.

"There's nothing to ask. He was just leaving."

"Sorry, but isn't that Matt, Allison's husband I just saw walking out of your house? What was he doing here?" Jeremy asked curiously. He had never been on good terms with Matt, but he understood why. Jeremy knew that Matt wasn't stupid, he would have seen the way his wife gushed over him. He just wished Matt would understand that he would never do something with someone's wife.

Jason sighed."It's nothing, Jeremy. What are you doing here, I thought you were going straight to work."

"Well, now I'm here, what are you going to do? Kick me out." He chuckled at the sour look on his friend's face. "You can't just send a text telling me not to come and think I would listen to that." He walked over to Jason's fridge to grab something to eat, while Jason still stood in his pyjamas, watching him.

"You were the one so worried about the way I worked weeks ago and now you're so ready to drag me to work. Lord, humans and switching up. Why are you so stubborn."

"You're the stubborn one." Jeremy retorted. "Now, go wash up, we're leaving together."

"No, I'm not going with you."

"Excuse me?"

"Jeremy, I'm not feeling well. If you don't mind, I would like to stay back home today."

"You're not feeling well?" He dropped the ice cream he had taken from the fridge on the Island and walked over to his friend. Jason quickly took two steps back when he saw his friend approaching. Jeremy paused when he saw this, raising an eyebrow. "Dude I just want to check your temperature, not give you the Corona virus."

"Well," Jason shrugged, "we never know what even our closet friends can be up to. Listen, you don't need to check up on me, I'm fine."

"Okay, I won't. But now that you sound like you just had an energy boost, o still want to know what Matt was doing here. Was he the one that made you come late to work the previous day?"

"No, he wasn't. He just came over last night, he had a fight with Allison. Either she kicked him out of the house, or he just left. I wouldn't blame him though, with a wife like Allison? I might have committed suicide a long time ago."

Jeremy scoffed at that. "She isn't that bad." Jason looked like he wanted to sanitize Jeremy's tongue for saying something like that.

"You only say that because she's not your neighbor and she is in love with you. When I first moved here that woman gave me hell. The only reason she stopped is because of you." He rolled his eyes. "I don't know what she sees in yoj anyway."

"I think it's beauty," he said with a smirk, flashing Jason a wink. Jason found himself smiling like a teenage girl at that little action. Although he felt sorry for Matt, he saw why Allison would be obsessed with Jeremy. He really was beautiful.

"Yeah..." Jason muttered. "I-" He shook his head. "Let me just uh, go to the bathroom and...do what humans do in the bathroom, then we can leave together. But then I don't want to delay you, you should forget about me and just go on."

"Nonsense!" Jeremy laughed. "You really should stop using these lame tricks to escape. You're really bad at it." He took a piece of paper from the table beside him, taking a piece of paper and throwing it at Jason, though he missed. Once Jason was gone, Jeremy looked around the apartment. It was a mess. He was still suspicious of Matt's presence in Jason's house. He sighed, looking at his watch, then back at the stairs that led to Jason's small room.

It's been past ten minutes since Jason went up the stairs in the name of going to take a bath. "Jason?" He called, but no reply came back. "Jason?" Jeremy called again with another glance at his watch before he began walking towards the stairs. He paused when he arrived at the stairs, and listened to see if he would be able to pick up any sound, but nothing. Vivid images of Jason drowned in the bathtub flashed through his head, this pushed him to jump stairs as he hurried to the room. Not even bothering to knock, Jeremy kicked the door open.

"Jesus!" Jason screamed, grabbing the towel and wrapping it around his waist quickly.

Jeremy slammed a palm on his face and turned around. "Oh, I'm so sorry. I should have knocked."

"Yes. Yes, you should have. Why didn't you?" He looked down at himself, then back at Jeremy who was now facing the door, and hiding his face in his palms.

"I called your name a hundred times and you weren't responding. I thought you were dead and-"

"And you were running in here to bring me back to life?" He sucked in his lips. If he hadn't been putting on his earpods which had music blasting from it, he was sure he would hear Jeremy approaching and would have put something on.

"Well, I was going to try...Look, I'm going turn around now. Are you decent?"

"Don't!" Jason screamed. "I'm still naked," he told him even though his towel was now properly tied around his waist.

"Dude."

"I'm not serious. Just g-give me a second, I'll throw something on."

"Okay..."

Jason ran to his wardrobe, going through it like a mad man because he was looking for something to wear. Every few seconds he would turn back to face Jeremy to make sure he had not gone back on his words and wasn't peeping on him. He took the first clean jeans he saw, and a brown turtleneck and threw it on his body quickly. Once he was done, he did another check on his clothing to make sure he wasn't wearing the back of the clothe. "Okay, let's go."
