Chapter 89: The picnic ( 2 )

David sat on the driver's seat as he waited for the rest to enter. When Juliana entered she sat besides David . Calcel and Clare entered from the back of the car and Alyssa stayed there confused.

" Hi , Won't you get it ? " David asked on seeing her. " The car is already full , I will use my car. " She said.

David looked behind. " There's space behind. Come and join Calcel with Clare. " David said.

" Huh..We shall be squeezed. I will..." Alyssa was still insisting on when Clare said.

" Come on Aunty , I will sit on Calcel's lap. " Clare said and sat on Calcel's lap who said nothing.

Alyssa remained with no option but to sit down in the car. David drove off as some music played and all of them were quite.

They reached their destination. It was one of the largest parks in the city and be it a weekday there were few people. They all participated in the organising of the mats and setting the tent. After that the family joined in playing football while Alyssa just watched them. She didn't want inconvenience them. After football , The played with balloons and toys and later sat down on the mat Alyssa has been waiting for them from.

They ate the pizza they had sent for with some drinks and after had dessert chocolates and some fruits. Time was moving slowly and soon it was evening.

David had interacted with Calcel and Clare most as for Juliana she kept on adding complements to fit in the jazz. Alyssa would only smile at them or nod to agree with them.

When it was dark , They set a camp fire and sat around it. David started narrating a story about his childhood to them as they all listened. When the story was done Clare suddenly raised her hand.

" My love , Do you have anything to say ? " David asked.

" Yes Dad , I want us to play truth or dare. " Clare said

" Who taught you that game , It's risky ! " Juliana commented.

" No mom, I always play it with my friends at school. Let's play please Daddy. " Clare said giving David a begging look.

" Okay , You start then. " Daddy said to Clare after realising she wasn't going to give up.

Then Clare stood up and got one of the bottles she was drinking water from. " I am spinning this , If the buttom points at you , You become the predator and if the top points at you , You become the prey. " Clare made the rules clear.

" Huh...Okay . We go ! " Calcel said laughing at his young sister.

So Clare span the bottle for the first time and the bottle pointed at Juliana and Calcel. It was Julian to question Calcel.

" Mom and bro , Start. " Clare shouted and they all laughed including Alyssa.

" Son , Truth or Dare ? " Juliana asked.

" Hmmm, Truth . " Calcel answered. " If you were a woman , What three things would you like to do with someone you love ? " Juliana asked.

" Huh...Mom doesn't it have to concern love ? " Calcel asked grinning.

" It's an easy question bro , Answer it. " Clare said.

" Fine..I ..think hanging out, Watching a movie and shopping together. " Calcel answered and they all laughed.

" You would be such a boring girl friend. " David commented as the rest laughed.

" Thank God I am not a woman. " Calcel added.

" What about you Alyssa ? " Juliana asked Alyssa surprising her.

" Huh.." She muttered as if she had not been hearing them.

" Three things you wish to do with someone you love. " Juliana repeated for her.

They all turned their attention and looked at Alyssa . " I...I..." She stammered realising Calcel was eager to hear too.

" I never got a chance to love nor have I ever thought of it ." She said shying away.

" You mean you have never had a boyfriend before ? " Juliana asked.

" That's right. " Alyssa answered.

" Buh you are so beautiful. How comes ? " Juliana asked.

" the thing...is...I was so much focused on work than any other things. " She said.

" Mom...You are asking too much. Let's continue with the game. " Calcel suggested.

Juliana smirked. " Okay . " She said.

" Fine , I am spinning. " Clare declared and span again.

" Wow , It's Dad and Aunty. " Clare said.

It was David to ask Alyssa. " Mm , Truth or Dare ? " He asked.

" Truth. " Alyssa answered.

" Once I set you free , What will be your next plan ? " David asked.

" Huh...that...I plan to leave the country. I will go and start a music school. " She said.

" That's good news. How about love , Don't you plan to find someone ? " He asked.

They all turned to look at Alyssa again.

" I don't know. Buh ...if God gives me someone , I will . " She answered and forced a smile.

" Okay , We continue. " Clare said and span again .
