Chapter 77: The party ( 1 )

She turned to look at him.

" I love your positive thinking." She said as if provoking him.

Calcel got up and walked to where she stood. He passed past her without a word as she turned again to look at him walk away. He then stood and said.

" Didn't you say you want to go home ? " He asked looking back at her and then proceeded.

Alyssa shook her head and followed. The journey back home was silent , When they arrived Clere welcomed both with hugs. Calcel squatted before her and cupped her cheeks.

" How was your day beautiful ? " He asked.

" I missed you . " Clare said. Calcel smiled at her . " I have to go back for work first. See you when I am back. " Calcek said and pecked Clare before leaving.

The situation remained the same till the engagement day finally reached. Alyssa had helped May is choosing everything , The decorations , The venue , Food and the rings. May felt knew that Alyssa was a little jealous , She could see how she reacted whenever she ( May ) talked about Calcel. She enjoyed torturing her.

That morning , Alyssa got up early showered and put her makeup. She wore a purple party dress that was tight on her body exposing her beautiful body and tied her hair into a bun. She looked at herself in the mirror.

" Alyssa calm down , All is well. " She said trying to calm herself down when someone knocked her door.

" Come in ! " She said leaving the mirror and sitting on her bed. Jenny entered with a small box in her hands and sat on the bed besides her.

" Good morning. " She greeted.

" Good morning. " Alyssa greeted back.

" Sir David asked me to give you this. " Jenny said with a smile.

" Huh " Alyssa exclaimed as she got the box to open it. Inside was a golden necklace and earrings. " " My God ! " She said she looked at Jenny. " Is this really from him ? " She asked.

" Yes. He wants you to put them on today. " Jenny added.

" I can't put them on. " Alyssa said surprising Jenny. " Why not ? " Jenny wondered. " They are too expensive , I can't accept this. " She added.

Jenny looked at her in amusement. " I understand they are..Buh you are his wife . " Jenny argued.

" Jenny , Remember it's just a contract marriage. I can't take this. " She said.

Jenny shook her head. " Aly , I understand what you say. Buh all u have to know is that this is something small for Mr David " Jenny said.

Alyssa looked at her and gulped. " Here , I will help you put it on. " Jenny said and made Alyssa wear the necklace and the earrings.

" Alyssa , You look so beautiful. " Jenny said after.

" Thank you. " Alyssa said and smiled.

" Get set , Mr David and Calcel are already done. " Jenny said and left the room

Alyssa got up again and looked at herself through the mirror. She smiled and then picked her purse to leave.

The guests had already arrived at the party. Alyssa , David , Calcel and Jenny waited from the VIP room for May and Cynthia who hadn't arrived.

" Why are they taking long to come ? " David questioned while he looked at his wrist watch.

" I will make a call. " Jenny said and she was picking her purse to get the phone when the door opened and Juliana came in with Clare.

" Madam Juliana ? " Jenny called on seeing her and the rest looked up at her.

" Mom ? " Calcel also called and walked to hug her while Clare ran to David. " Dad ? " She called giving him a hug.

" How's my beautiful daughter ? " David asked cupping Clare's cheeks.

" She was missing you. " She answered.

" My son , How are you ? " Juliana asked Calcel. " I am fine Mom ,. I am glad that you came. " Calcel said after the hug.

Juliana smiled. " Mention not. Why would I miss this ? " She asked.

" Huh..., Come have a seat. " She said.

" No need , I will go wait from the hall. " Juliana said. " No mom , You are entering with us. " Calcel said and looked at David for assurance.

" It's fine. You can stay. " David said .

Juliana smiled and went to sit on the sofa opposite David and Alyssa. The four joined in a jazz which made Alyssa a little uncomfortable.

She got up to leave and David noticed her. " Where to ? " He asked. " To use the washroom. " She answered and left.

From there she just went to the hall but while she was walking along the corridor she met May and Cynthia just arriving.

" Good morning ? " She greeted them with a smile.

" Good morning Ms Alyssa. Where to ? " Cynthia replied.

" I will be waiting for you guys from the hall. David and Calcel are already waiting. " Alyssa said with a smile again.

" That's good. We shall proceed. " May said smiling back.
