Chapter 193: From today onwards, Marvis is our daughter.

" Call the ambulance ! "

" What's that's sound ? " Gladys heart skipped a beat when they also heard the boom sound.

" Let's go check ! " Robert said and they all followed.

" Come and help, He has been shot.." the women were still struggling with Calcel who was now unconscious.

Gladys stepped forward in shock. She covered her mouth on seeing blood coming from Calcel.

Thomas came forward and checked.

" He has been shot on the shoulder so he will be fine. Don't worry. " Thomas said to them as he put a handkerchief to reduce the bleeding

Gladys stood up and looked at May who was in the hands of the two men.

" May, See what you have done ? " Gladya cried.

" Don't worry we already called the police and the ambulance. " The woman said.

" And what happened to my daughter ? " Gladys asked.

" She just fell unconscious but I don't think that she has been shot. " Said the woman.

" Did you just call her your daughter ? " May asked in disbelief.

Gladys got up in anger and slapped May.

" You have no right to know anything. See, You have ruined everyone's life and yours too because of your selfishness. What will I tell David now ? " Gladys cried.

May wanted to ask more but the officers were already here since they had come to pick Derrick so she was also taken.

The ambulances finally came also and took Alyssa and Calcel to the hospital.

David had been waiting for feedback from Calcel only to be surprised by Glady's call that Calcel had been shot and taken to the hospital.

At the Hospital...

They all stood and waited outside the emergency room.

David came in rush to find Gladys there with Robert.

" What happened ? " He was in daze.

" He was shot by May..." Gladys answered in tears.

" How did that happen ? Where is May ? She has to pay back ! " David said impatiently.

" Don't worry, She has been arrested.." Robert said to him.

David didn't know what to do at the moment but what came into his mind was Juliana. He got his phone and rung her.

Juliana was at her house playing with Clere when her phone rung. To her moat surprise the person who was calling was David. In her life she never expected to receive a call from any of them. Calcel had stopped talking to her completely.

She received the call. " Hello.."

" Juliana..book a flight today. Calcel was shot and he's in hospital.." David didn't waste a minute.

Juliana stood still for moment not believing this. Clere looked at her and said. " Mom, What's wrong ? " She asked.

" My love, We have to go back home. " She said.

"Is there anything wrong ? " Clere asked.

" I will tell you once you are there. Let's get plour clothes ready. " Juliana said.

David ,Gladys and Robert later went to see Calcel after he had been transferred to the recovery room.

" He will get well very soon. Its good that Doctor Thomas reduced his bleeding in time. " The doctor said.

" Thank you Doctor. " David said to the doctor who left after that.

Calcel was still unconscious and when David looked at him he started blaming himself for having brought May into his life.

" Mr Wong, I guess I and Robert must leave you two. I know Calcel is a very strong man and he will make it. " Gladys said to encourage him.

" It's alright. You guys can now go to check on Alyssa. " David said.

They nodded and went to Alyssa's room. She hadn't gained her consciousness since the fall.

Robert sat on the arm chair besides the sick bed and Gladys sat on the bed.

" It must have shocked you to find out that she is not Marvis. Right ? " Gladys asked while they both glared at Alyssa's face.

Robert chuckled. " After the accident, I took Alyssa with me to my house and spent with her four months. It was a very short period but I noticed the difference in her voice, her body, her smile and the things she used to do. At first i thought that it was because of illness. But when she visited me last week, I gave her fried eggs which were her favorite. And then i realized that she is actually allergic to them. I became more suspicious and that day, I realized that she wasn't my daughter. " Robert reported.

" You mean..you knew it already ? " Gladys asked.

" Yes. But i kept silent in order to know who she is . It's a pity that it's my real daughter who died.." Robert sadly said and burst into tears.

Gladys understood this. The pain of losing a child so she held his hands and said.

" I am so sorry Robert. Marvis died because of my daughter. " Gladys muttered solemnly.

" Marvis was going through alot already because of me. So don't blame Alyssa. If i had not kicked her out, She wouldn't have died like that. " Robert said in tears and added.

" I should actually be thanking Alyssa for the help she gave Marvis. At least, She got true love from both of you and Alyssa. The love I failed to give her. I am sure she died peacefully.."

" Robert..." Gladys cried.

" It's okay Gladys. Don't blame yourself. It was all my fault. " Robert now cupped Alyssa's left cheek and said.

" Even though Marvis is gone, Alyssa is now my daughter too. And if you allow me , Please let me keep on seeing her. "

" That is fine of course. From now onwards, Alyssa is our daughter. And since she has Marvis' face, I think we should keep her with Marvin Thompson as her name. " Saying this made Robert happy.

" Thanks Gladys. I will treat her like my own daughter." He vowed.

The two smiled and looked at Alyssa.

Alyssa was in her sleep when she had a dream. The dream she always has always been having when she is getting married to someone.Whenever she got close to her bride his face wouldn't be clear. She never used to see the face but this time around he turned around and she moved closer, She saw his face.

He was Calcel.
