Chapter 14: Meeting Again ( 2 )

At the hospital.

Calcel was taken to the operation room immediately no sooner had they arrived at the hospital. Alyssa stayed outside the room but she was never settled. She kept on moving left to right her hands capped as she prayed for this soul to get well.

It took over thirty minutes when the doctors finally got out of the operation room.

" Doctor , How is he ? " She asked her heart in her throat.

" It's just that the wound had not been well operated. But he will be fine . " The doctor said.

" That's at least. Can l go see him ? " Alyssa requested.

" Sure , But you have to wait till he's transfered to the recovery room. " The doctor said.

" Okay Doctor .Thank you so much.." Alyssa was really greatfull.

She stood still waiting when Calcel was finally brought out of the room. He was taken in one of the recovery rooms . She smiled on seeing this and followed.

She entered the room and saw Calcel's helpless body on the bed. She moved closer and when the nurses saw this they decided to leave.

Alyssa sat down and looked at this handsome stranger again. He looked relaxed with his eyes closed and with this he was really cute than ever.

" Sir , Why didn't you get medications ? What if something wrong happened to you , How would I be able to forgive myself ? " She asked wondering why he had really done that.

She then turned her gaze to his hand and rested on the bed and grabbed it with both her hands.

" I really don't know why you never want to get closer to me but I want you to know that even though I don't know who you are , Your very important to me. You saved my life that day and there's no way I can just forget you. " She said looking at his hand lovingly and turned to look at his face again.

" Am Alyssa , I just wish that we can be friends. And maybe I can do something to pay back for what you did for me that day. " Alyssa attered out still aware that this man was unconscious and he wasn't hearing her still holding his hand.

She finally let go of him and after hearing her phone ring. She got it from the purse and found it was Herman Calling.

" God ! I forgot to inform him. " She cursed herself before recieving the call.

" Herm ? " She called.

" Hi , Where are you ? " Herman asked.

" Am in the hospital. "

" What happened , Did anything wrong happen to you ? "

" Of course not. A friend got hospitalized so I had to hurry and see her . " Alyssa lied.

" Ohh...Which hospital are you ? "

" Don't worry about anything. I will call you when I am back. " Alyssa said and was about to end the call.

" Do u know how worriedly I looked for you ? " Herman asked sadly his voice evident.

" Am...am sorry for not informing you. " Alyssa gasped realising her mistake.

" It's fine. Please stay well. " Herman said and ended the call.

After the call , Alyssa gave a sigh and turned to her patient who was still unconscious.

" Mr Stranger , I Won't leave unless you are awake and fine. " Alyssa promised and sat back in her position.

That evening , David arrived home with Clere but Calcel wasn't there yet. ' Maybe he's still at work. " He thought .

" Dear , I think you should go have some rest now. " David said to Clere.

" But Big bro isn't here yet. He promised to play with me. " Clere argued.

" I know lol...But you see he's busy with work. "

" Okay Daddy. I will go to my room now ! "

" That's good sweet heart. Good night ! " David said pecking Clere's cheek.

" Good night Daddy." Clere said and went to her bedroom.

David smiled at her daughter and also went to his room.

Calcel was still unconscious when finally opened his eyes slowly. Looking at the ceiling , He noticed that this place was un familiar and turned his head to the side when his eyes met a sleeping beauty besides him. Alyssa had dozed off while she waited for him to awake so she had buried her head just below Calcel's shoulders.

' Where am l ? And what's she doing here ? ,' He asked himself and surely remembered what happened. Had she brought him to the hospital ? And if so then why did she sleep here instead of leaving . Wasn't she a famous actress and wasn't she scared that anyone would recognize them ? ..

Calcel asked him self all those questions before getting up from the bed. He got off from the other side and picked a glass of water from the bedside table which he gulped down . He looked at the room clock and found it was 11pm still early enough for him to leave.

But wait ! He just in the patience uniform , How was he going to leave ? This thought made him sit back on the bed and turned his gaze to Alyssa again..

Alyssa who was totally in slumber had some few strands of hair in her face. Calcel didn't know why but he found his hands moving towards Alyssa's face till he tucked the strands back behind her ear and before he could pull back something again for her him to touch her face.

He cupped her cheek with his palm and started patting her with his thumb when Alyssa suddenly opened her eyes witnessing this action. As a thief who just got caught , Calcel quickly pulled away and looked at the other side as he stammered.

" I....I....I was ...just.... Organising your hair.." He defended himself before she could think of any evil . How could such a girl make him feel guilty of nothings. He really didn't know what was going on with him.

Alyssa leaned back in the chair and said. "

My hair ...Thanks for that. sorry to make you do that. " She apologized as she caught the hair and tied it into a long porn tail.

" Am so glad that you are awake. The doctor told me that you would get well soon. " Alyssa said happily and walked to the fridge.
