"So, are you going to think about it?" I looked at my cousin.

The most important thing now was to prevent Fang Fang's father from gambling. Only then could we achieve long-term peace.

"Xiaonan, if I send two people to keep an eye on my father-in-law to wreck wherever he's going to visit and gamble, what do you think? Do you think that would work?" My cousin thought for a moment and continued.

"That could work, but we shouldn't be too ruthless," I considered and quickly said.

"Then let's do it that way. Xiaonan, you've been a big help today." My cousin grinned as he visibly sagged with relief.

"By the way, cousin, I have something else to ask you." I took a sip of coffee and continued.

"Go ahead, ask away." My cousin looked at me with interest.

"Do you really like Fang Fang?" I asked quickly.

My cousin quickly replied, "Of course, I like her. Your sister-in-law is not only young, but also beautiful. I genuinely love her, which is why I married her and paid off her family's gambling debts."

"Okay, okay. Then try not to lose your temper at her anymore. Your father really hopes that you can settle down and even have grandchildren." I nodded slightly.

"Haha, I get it, I get it. You better hurry up. When Yanzi comes back, you should focus on her and get her pregnant," my cousin said with a smile.

When my cousin mentioned my wife, it brought up a knot in my heart. Although I knew my wife had secretly returned to the country, I needed to investigate the matter thoroughly. I couldn't jump to conclusions without concrete evidence.

Over the following days, my cousin did become more well-behaved, and Fang Fang told me that my cousin was treating her much better. However, whenever her father went out to gamble, someone would wreck the gambling place, causing Fang Fang's father to be shunned by many of his mahjong friends. My cousin even warned that anyone who dared to play mahjong with Fang Fang's father would be beaten up.

This tactic seemed to be effective, as Fang Fang's father became much more settled without his mahjong buddies.

The National Day holiday passed quickly. After I received news that Fang Fang and my cousin were going to the Maldives for their honeymoon, I sent my blessings and returned to Shanghai.

Just as I was considering whether to call Sun Dan to discuss the holiday and whether I should go abroad to check on my wife, Sun Dan called me first.

"Hello, it's Xiao Lin. How was your National Day?" Sun Dan's voice came from the other end of the phone.

"It was pretty good. What's up, Boss?" I quickly asked.

"Well, I did plan to give you a longer vacation, but this time, we need to go to Hainan for some business discussions." Sun Dan said hurriedly.

"What? Why didn't you tell me earlier?" My expression changed.

"I'm really sorry. You did close a big deal with CEO Qu, but the company's brand is on the rise now. Besides maintaining a cooperative relationship with customers, we also need to hire celebrities for endorsements in the near future. I hope you understand." Sun Dan explained.

"Then I'll discuss it with you at the company tomorrow." I thought about it and finally agreed.

I hung up the phone and took a good rest. The next morning, I drove to the company and immediately saw Zhang Tingmei and Liu Xue.

Zhang Tingmei and Liu Xue were my assistants. They had been with me for two to three years. They were both top students from Fudan University. They were not only good-looking but also talented. I promoted them from among the many salespeople.

"Brother Nan, did you see the email from that slave-driver? She asked you to go to Hainan as soon as the holiday ended and even asked us to cooperate with her." Xiao Zhang quickly said.

Zhang Tingmei was not only eloquent, but she was also great at socializing. She could persuade clients effectively during business discussions. On the other hand, Liu Xue was obedient, cute, and meticulous.

"That slave-driver already called me a while ago." I shrugged.

"Brother Nan, didn't you close a big deal when you went to Hangzhou last time? But when Mr. Wang visited, he praised that slave-driver. I think she stole your valor again." Liu Xue pouted. She seemed to feel that it wasn't fair.

"What? When did Mr. Wang visit?" I frowned.

"The day before National Day, but Brother Nan, you were on leave that day." Liu Xue blinked her big eyes and looked at me.

I was angry. If the credit went to Sun Dan, wouldn't that mean I wouldn't get the reward? Wasn't this my achievement?

"F*cking hell, are you kidding me?!" I was so angry that I quickly walked to Sun Dan's office.

"N-Brother Nan!"

"Liu Xue, let him go!"

All the colleagues in the sales department looked up at me. They saw me walking aggressively towards Sun Dan's office and pushing the door open.

"L-Lin Nan, what are you doing? Don't you know how to knock?" Sun Dan was at her desk. She frowned when she saw me.

"Boss, do you still remember what we talked about in Hangzhou?" I quickly said.

When she saw my aggressive attitude, Sun Dan narrowed her eyes. She walked out from behind her office desk with her arms crossed and assessed me. "Are you talking about the sales deal?"

"Of course, I won that deal. I should know if I'll get the bonus for this deal, right?" I looked coldly at Sun Dan.

Today, Sun Dan was wearing a black lace dress and red lipstick. I noticed that she was going to attend some cocktail party tonight.

"W-what?" I was simply furious.

"Don't worry, the commission is not a small amount for a million-dollar order. As your leader, taking 70% of it is not excessive, right?" Sun Dan continued to speak as she took a sip of her tea.

"So, are you saying that I can only get 30% of the total commission for this deal?" I was about to explode from anger.

"What? Do you think you can defy me? Don't forget that you're my subordinate. If I tell you to get lost, you have to get lost!" Sun Dan sneered.

"You, how can you be so greedy?!" I clenched my fists tightly and wanted to punch Sun Dan.

"Don't think you're so great just because you closed a big deal in Hangzhou. Tonight, I'm attending a cocktail party with Mr. Wang. If you ruin my mood, I'll make you pack your bags and leave!"

Sun Dan continued, then picked up a document from the desk and threw it at me.

"This is an order from a client in Hainan. Bring some samples over. If you can't close this deal, don't bother coming back!"

I reached out to take the document. I gritted my teeth but couldn't lose my temper.

As the saying goes, when one is under the roof, one has to lower one's head. This time, I had indeed fallen victim.

"Brother Nan, what happened?"

"Yes, Brother Nan, don't scare me!"

Zhang Tingmei and Liu Xue quickly saw me coming out of Sun Dan's office. They quickly came over and looked at me nervously.

"You guys will come with me to Hainan tomorrow!" I said angrily.

Zhang Tingmei and Liu Xue quickly agreed, and I slammed the table. "Damn it, that woman is accompanying Mr. Wang to a cocktail party tonight. Once I find something on her, watch how I deal with her!"

"Brother Nan, the party is at the Palm Tree Hotel." Liu Xue said softly.

"Hmm? How did you know?" I frowned.

Damn it, Sun Dan, since you've deceived me, I won't let you off easily either. Just you wait and see!
