Wei Family-
.
The members of the Wei Family 3rd generation were enjoying themselves before someone ruined it. The possiblity of reaching the Realm their parents and elders dreamed at such a young age was something they greatly looked forward to.
Knowing that Rexford was a Transcendent Realm cultivator was something they had to keep quiet. One he told them to, second it would bring nothing but trouble if they did blab about it.
"I just don't see why I need to meet this guy." A violent-looking young man said. This was Wei Ziping, the brother (cousin) of Wei Ziqing and a trouble maker. He was speaking to Wei Ziqing like she was nothing important. Despite the fact, she was doing better than him in all avenues. "Listen, sis.. this Rexford is nothing. I think you are just infatuated with him is all."
*Bam!* A fist strike to his chest had him doubling over. Wei Ziqing was not the one that hit him. But another member of the Wei Family did.
"You didn't have to hit him that hard Wei Lan Feng." Ziqing was just saying something since it was her brother. The look on her face didn't hide the happiness in her eyes.
"You, little parasite should watch yourself." Wei Lan Feng was beyond disgusted with him over the years. But her status had risen quite a lot thanks to the training of Rexford and the Spirit Enhancing Pills. "Even though he is our cousin Ziqing, he needs to be taught a lesson."
"You dare to hit me!" Wei Ziping stood up enraged. Even without the pills she took, Wei Lan Feng could beat the crap out of him. "I will show you who needs a lesson!"
His form was sloppy and driven by anger. His mistakes were continuously exploited by her. In minutes, the young heir was beaten to a pulp.
Matters turned for the worse when the elders came to check on them. Instead of asking what happened, the elders only saw a beaten-up Wei Ziping and jumped to the conclusion that the gathered group took advantage with numbers.
Wei Ziqing learned a valuable listen about the other members of her family this morning. One that would continue to eat away at her until she finally snapped.
.
Later that day-
.
Rexford, Yang Chao, and Biao were at a small closed-door competition set up to give the Ansatsuken more prestige. Wei Ziqing arranged it mostly to help with matters down the road she felt would pop up. Besides creating a positive image issue early, it allowed for connections to form.
Her grandfather Wei Fu was in attendance with some of his military buddies that look way better than before.
The Spirit Enhancing Pills were used up a great deal it seemed. Almost all of them at that. Rexford did not mind since it had nothing to do with them anymore and would require the Wei Family to expend searches to acquire some more herbs to make more pills.
The Medicine Valley was a group he couldn't deal with currently with out creating some losses. But that didn't mean he wouldn't try to acquire some of its people if given the chance on the slick.
Currently, the next fight was between members of the Weisheng Kung Fu School. Led by Guo Wei. It was funny since this was the man Zhuo Tinhao would hire in a few weeks to try and help take on a problem he had from the past.
'With my body in its current state, it is best I refine my cultivation better. I can feel my growth almost exploding at the seams!' Rexford's mind was elsewhere as the Black Gold Sun Art was only scratched on the surface.
Guo Wei was quite arrogant and full of himself if memory served. Yang Chao and Biao would deal with his students. With Yang Chao going first as the least experienced fighter of all of them. He needed the exposure to the unknown like this, to see if he could adapt fast.
The bouts were pretty quick as Yang Chao lacked control when he was agitated. He did however tied with his opponent.
Biao defeated his opponent easily and looked almost bored for a moment. It was now up to Guo Wei to fight and honor the Weisheng School.
The thick-brow man was angry seeing his students tie and loose to an upstart new school.
"A teenage boy as the master of a school.. how disrespectful to even stand against me." Guo Wei let his anger dictate his words and was about to get himself in deep trouble and possibly killed. "I hate to see the masters that raised such a pupil."
"Oh, dear..." Wei Ziqing shook her head in disbelief. She turned to a few of the other masters with a warning look. "It may be best you all can be ready at a moment's notice, if not Master Mingyun will kill him."
She spoke politely as she could but the masters were not mindful of her warning. If this was her grandfather, they would have taken it more to heart.
"I am a man, let me show you how far beneath me you are." Rexford gave a chilling smile to the arrogant master. He floated into the arena causing a few gasps from the gathered masters. He needed to master the use of Gravity and Space more and more. So every bit counts. "No one will insult my fallen teachers. Let alone someone at your level!"
The pressure in the arena was palpable. A bloody aura left from Rexford's body. The manifestation of inner demons from when he fought on the battlefield back on his Earth were appearing due to his cultivation advancement.
The smell of blood caused a few to become queasy and nauseous. Quite a few of the masters gathered had more respect for Rexford and no longer underestimated him.
The bloody aura was developed on the battlefield. Each of them mindful of that type of life. Just begged the question of why someone so young carried that type of feeling about them.
"Ha!" Wei Guo psyched himself up. His battle shout was a stirring of his internal energy to calm the fear. "I am the owner of the Weisheng Kung Fu School, Wei of Xing Yi Quan."
Now he decided to be respectful.
"I go by Mingyun Rexford, Master of the Ansastuken." Rexford said containing his bloodlust just a little. Those painful memories gave him a bit of a wake-up call to be careful when fighting. "I will not leave a body for your students to mourn!"
Wei Guo's knees buckled in fear a little. Before he could attack, Rexford disappeared appearing behind him. He turned just in time to receive a blow directly to the kidneys.
*Bam!* Wei Guo ate the blow completely then dashed to the side to gain some distance. Rexford vanished from sight again appearing this time on the other side.
*Bam!* A blow to the other kidney had Wei Guo coughing up blood. Vision turning blurry as he was way outclassed in physical might against his weak sides.
"What's wrong.. can't handle someone at the Internal Force Realm like myself?" Rexford appeared in front looking the man directly in the eyes. His fist unclenched as he delivered a double palm directly to his opponent's lungs disrupting the breathing pattern he used. "I am just some teenager after all! Not like I am someone to take seriously!"
His body was suppressed to that level while in this healing state after all.
*Wham!* Guo Wei hit the wall cracking it a little. He was still awake from the attacks but if anyone asked, he would say he wished he was asleep after the second.
'Not good!' Wei Fu did not think Rexford had approved to such a level since last they met. A glance to his granddaughter proved not a hint of shock was on her face. 'If she knows this much about him already, then what happens earlier in the family was defintely wrong. Wei Lan Feng caused the damage to Wei Ziping all on her own.'
A knowing look passed in old Wei's eyes. He would not make a move himself but do something to help his granddaughter and those of the 3rd generation get closer.
*Swirl!* A wave of qi gravitated towards Rexford as he moved to his opponent. Every cell in his body was screaming for release. He was getting ready to breakthrough in this fight mentally for the Black Gold Sun Art.
Hand raised, qi formed creating a gold and black hand mimicking the motions. It looked a little like the "Master Hand" from Super Smash Bros. in a way. The color pattern made Wei Fu pay attention more since it was the same as the stronger pills Rexford made for them.
"Master!" The Weisheng students would not sit by as their master was killed. Ignoring the rules of the match outright. They helped him up and started to shield him from danger. "You have won, that is enough!"
*Smack!* The Master Hand open wide and smacked each of them away like flies. The students hit the ground hard and barely moved after landing. Some had their bones broken and lungs punctured.
"You all have a lot of fucking nerve getting in my way like this!" Rexford lifted his other hand causing the other masters to act now. They didn't think he had that much energy to create the strange attack with both hands. "Is this how you all act for other matches? Or is it because you want to take advantage of my reputation?!"
*Woosh!* The two floating Master Hands created a gravity distortion between them. Rexford took the wrong time to develop a technique from his cultivation, as well as gain insights into the Way of Gravity & Space.
"Not at all." Wei Fu stood up from his location not having rushed in like the others. "Guo Wei was at fault for insulting your masters and you, Master Mingyun. But death.. is a little to much. For him and his pupils."
Rexford's eyes glowed dangerously. It would be bad for business if he pissed all of them off at this venture. Especially when he was not established fully. A look to Wei Ziqing showed a pleading look of sorts but she did not overall say anything. Or make a move.
Guo Wei Stood up wiping blood from his mouth as he looked at Rexford. He felt no shame losing to such a powerful person outright.
"I Guo Wei had eyes but did not see, young master Mingyun." He bowed his head respectfully and gave a salute in apology. "I let my anger get the better of me. I sincerely apologize."
"For our sake, please let it go." One of the masters' said. "I am sure ample compensation can be made."
"Very well." Rexford calmed down a few seconds later. He gave them all a salute and apologized for his own behavior. It was mostly for show as he was not sorry at all. 'I can feel some Violent energy entering my body, it is amazing! Each of these masters would be able to offer more insights to me if alive than dead.'
As the overall situation calmed down, everyone took a step back and talked more at ease. Rexford proved by his fighting. He deserves to speak with them on equal footing. With most of them understanding he far surpassed them.
For now anyway.
After communicating over some matters and imparting different methods they came across in cultivation, the old masters found themselves overall shocked that Rexford was willing to impart a little of his cultivation to them.
When actuality all he did was pass on the same enhancement he did to Zhuo Tinhao that was the basics for qi refining. Each were able to apply it to their martial manuals and develop a better connection with it.
Rexford using the knowledge was able to close the gap from the constant changes over the years with a more accurate source. Nothing outstanding but enough to help him develop some things on his own as well.
Some openly wept at the major advancement and seeing a way to live a lot longer. Because of them being Internal Masters and introducing some Qi Refinement into their cultivation, the old masters would live up to 200 years with Rexford's method.
Mixed inside was a tiny portion of the Black Gold Qi. Just in case the old masters tried to step against him down the line, he would have a way to cripple them for a little bit.
Breaking into the Sublimity or Transdecant Realm was no longer a dream for them. Just a lot of work to be done. Each of the masters bowed in respect at the friendly exchange and a few even showed their different manuals to him that contained the deeper levels of their cultivations. They were copies of course and not the real ones.
All the real ones were at home or in vaults. With a few lost to time.
The day carried on deep into the night with the masters trying the new methods and wanting to show off with one another. The lively spars between the masters became pretty heated.
Wei Fu capitalized on the situation giving them each a Vortex Spirit Enhancing Pill he had on his person. Full of energy, the old masters made breakthroughs and called it a miracle medicine to have.
Rexford stopped talking and allowed himself a small break. Wei Ziqing just a few feet next to him staring at him in wonder.
'Can something develop from these masters or not?' He questioned the mini version of himself. It nodded enthusiastically and pointed to the silhouettes that were forming. Diving deeper into himself, Rexford observed them up close. "Are they agents or something else?"
"These are Contacts. Not as close as Agents or important but they provide a good support for us." The mini pointed at the gathered silhouettes. They were not as close as the gathering spot as his agents were. In fact, they were a little far away in their own spot upon closer inspection. "More was earned in a soft approach instead of a violent one."
"Yeah, long term investment instead of short term goals I guess." Rexford rubbed his chin looking everything over. He reached down touching the grass feeling its softness was different. Along his arms, a green wave illuminated his veins. "What is with the green in my veins?"
"Gaia's power. A bit of a Blessing really." The mini looked at him with a smile. "We have the privilege of gaining blessings from any Pantheon. As long as they do not find out about the Unending Army influence anyway. This will allow a stronger growth to take place overall."
"Uh-huh."
"You did something that Gaia liked overall. Besides removing the trash that was turned into qi and material for use. The filthy energy around the city helps a lot. Then these old masters are stronger with most of them overall being pretty helpful for the earth's future."
"Hmm, I see. As long as they are here I know who can be trusted more. So that will be good. Treachery will be met with a slit throat real quickly." Rexford's eyes glowed dangerously as he conversed with himself internally. On the outside, Wei Ziqing just took it as him being in deep thought and contemplation.
