Sorry

Eve's POV

I was supposed to do a five block run but the intense feeling of riding my big bike makes me want to run faster and longer than I should. Well, I didn't made a promise but I know Colt will be mad at me. He is like a protective brother to me. I grinned at the thought.

It took me almost thirty minutes before I came back and surely Colt's face is in grimaced. Even my Aunt and Amy have those look of worry.

"I told you, five blocks only!". Colt and his overprotective dominating aura. I want to laugh but I know I am in trouble.

I took some strands of my hair and played with it. I always do this when I'm thinking of a reasonable excuse. Oh well, I think I screwed big time here.

"I just added two blocks away". I said under my breath. I need to choose my words properly if I want to ride my bike again.

"You made all the people here worried, do you know that?". Colt said.

"I'm sorry!". I should be angry at Colt for reprimanding me but it's all my fault anyway. Besides he is right.

I looked at Aunt Annalee and Uncle John. They're still worried about me. And I just uttered the word "Sorry!".

"It's okay sweetheart, as long as you are safe". Aunt Annalee said gently.

"Anyway, I think we need to go!". Aiden break the growing tensions and look at me.

"I think I like you that way... What do you think Amy?". And he looked at my cousin lovingly.

"Yup I do too!". She replied.

"I think she should stay in her hoodie!". Colt cut them and all eyes turned to him but he didn't say anything anymore he just cleared his throat.

I don't know what he was thinking but I agree to him. "I do think too!". And gave him a toothy smile. And I could swear he blushed.

Aiden and his group left and we went inside the house. Aunt Annalee is preparing our dinner so I rushed to my room and changed clothes. A knock on the door took my attention. It's Amy's signature knock. I grinned. Amy peek at my door when I told her to come in.

"Eve".

"Yes?".

She pushed the door and let herself in.

"Will you go to Aiden's party with me?". There's a hopeful longing in her eyes.

"Let me see...". I act as if I was thinking deep.

"Oh please, say yes.... Dad won't let me go there alone". She pleaded. How adorable.

"Well... Of course I do.... I'm just messing up with you!". And I laughed.

At dinner.

"Dad can I go to Aiden's party on friday next week?". Amy asked Uncle John as soon as she sat down.

"Is Eve, going to?". He asked then look at me.

"Yes she will!". I heard Amy said gleefully.

"Well, make sure to come home early". He paused as if he suddenly thought of something. "By the way, Caeron's birthday will be on the next day make sure to clear your calendar for that event".

The spoon that I was supposed to shove in my mouth stopped at mid air. Slut boy's birthday. That sounds interesting.

"By the way girls, what's your plan tomorrow?". Aunt Annalee suddenly said.

My forehead knot then I remembered. "Oh, tomorrow is saturday!". I almost yelled and they laughed at me.

"So where do you want to go?". Amy asked excitedly.

"Well, how about a run in the woods!". I exclaimed.

"You run almost everyday can you at least take a rest and do other things?". Amy said while pouting.

I giggled a little and look at her. She looks really cute I guess that's why Aiden likes her so much. I think for a moment. "okay, how about we just hang out!".

"Okay!.... I know a place".

"Oh, let's bring Emma with us!". I remembered her in the last minute. Caeron's little sister. Maybe her brother is an asshole but she's quite nice.

"Oh my, I almost forgot. She asked me if she can come here to give back the lunch box and also to apolo...". Amy cut what she was saying and looked at Uncle John. I understand what she wants to say so I didn't asked her more.

"Just tell her to come and treat us again". Then I laughed.

Amy didn't say anything more. She just smiled back at me.
