I never set any of the stone to display the Dread Bear since I had it, which is going to a year now" the man paused before continuing "how it happened as left me speechless" after going into the back of the shop, the man came back with a small box. "is that it" Max asked "yes, what do you expect, letting some wild magical beast running around, my advice when bonding with this one or any beast, don't do it indoor, you don't want a 60 foot magical beast let loose in a 30 foot house" Max smiled, " if anyone asks you where you got that, kindly tell them how to get here" Max thanked the man and left, he was so excited, that he didn't go home straight, instead he went to a secluded spot in the forest he usually train his swordsmanship.

Setting down the box and bag he got from the old man, Max decided to open the bag and see what was in it first. The first thing he brought out was a book about magic, then the next thing surprised him, it was a crystal orb of black color, then the orb started melting as if it was made of ice that was under heat, what surprised Max was that the melting black orb began forming black rune on his right hand, the rune didn't stop until all of the black orb finished melting, when he inspected the black rune that was now tattooed on his right hand, it looked like a black dragon that had coiled round his hand, Max felt as if he was familiar with the Dragon, then suddenly he could hear a voice speaking to him through his mind " I am Zephrax the great Black Dragon, don't be afraid, I am not here to hurt you but to help, I am now one with one with you" "are you an evil spirit that as possessed me" Max asked out of fear " no, I am a magical beast, am sure you have never come across this type of bonding between beast and man" " yes" Max replied "that is because you men forcefully bond with magical beast, but when we willingly accept to bond with humans, this is what happens, you get a special tattoo on you, where your magical beast can stay and grow with you" Max knew all about bonding, but this was different, he knew adept, which was a universal name given to one who had bonded a magical beast could only summon their beast by calling their names, but Zephrax had just shared with him that all he had to do was will him to come out, or he could come out himself when he feels Max was in danger, he could feel his strength increasing beyond what he was told, was it because Zephrax was a dragon, "don't be surprise, our bond is different, so will its outcome and benefits, the strength and power you will receive would be far better than a forceful bond, but remember this doesn't make you the strongest, or powerful, first there are those out there which you must fear, because your body is not strong enough to accommodate quarter of my power, you need to strengthen yourself if you wish to be unrivaled, I won't be able to protect you and myself when we face a much stronger for than us, I would advice you get strong quickly cause there are those that wouldn't hesitate to kill you if they know who you really are" "why did you willingly agree to bond with me" Max asked "your first ancestor and mine had made a pact that only his bloodline can be bond to my bloodline, several people have tried to bond to me and failed until you came along, even that old man had tried several times and failed" "so what should we do?" "bond with your second beast, don't use the scroll, I would help you to bond it willingly, a Dread Bear would increase your strength tremendously, go ahead and open the box am ready the moment you are" Max was scared because of what he was about to do, opening the box without the use of the scroll was like committing suicide, but Zephrax had told him he was going to assist him, since they were now bonded, Max could feel the confidence the Black Dragon had in accomplishing this, so he unlocked the box.
