Chapter 25

"What!? What the hell are you talking about?!" Huan asked her angrily and bewildered.

'How does she know that?' Huan thought to himself surprised.

"This is what the hell I'm talking about!" Lin said as she threw him back on the bed.

She the grabbed the papers and threw it at him as they went into the air. He grabbed the papers and looked at it before his eyes widened when he saw its contents as he looked through it.

"This is? Where did you get these ridiculous things?" Huan asked her in surprise as he looked at her.

"Ridiculous!? You bastard! All of this happened because of you!" Lin said angrily as she glared at him.

"What do you mean by that!? I don't know what you're talking about!?" Huan said to her a bit angrily.

"Oh you don't know what I'm talking about!? Oh that's brilliant. You're the reason I broke up with Wen. You're the reason he died!" Lin shouted at him in anger.

Huan was surprised at her outburst but he then became angry as he stood up and glared at her. Though Lin was a bit intimidated she glared back at him and stood her ground.

"Are you doing all this because that good for nothing husband of yours died? He was worthless!" Huan said to her angrily.

*Slap!*

The sound of a slap was heard in the room as some wind blew. Huan's head is turned to his right as he has a shocked face. While Lin has her right hand up with her palm near his face as she had slapped him. She has a furious look on her face when she heard him.

When she had heard him calling Wen as being worthless she remembered her talk with him and about how he had been treated by her and her family. And also the memories of her meeting him during her marriage. She also remembered the last time they had talked with each other as her anger rose.

"Don't you fucking dare call him worthless! He may not have been from an influential family but he was a much better husband than you ever were. He was attentive to me and always helped me." Lin said to him with a glare.

"You dare compare me to that trash! And you say that he's a better husband than I am! Me, the heir to the Zhang family!" Huan shouted at her in anger.

'She dares to compare me to that inferior guy! Where did she even get the idea to act like this!?' Huan thought to himself as he glared at her.

"Damn right I am! You are always at work or doing something else and when we do meet you just try to have sex with me. Even when we are talking it's usually about you and the things that you had done. You're nothing more than an arrogant man who thinks the world revolves around him." Lin said to him angrily.

"You. Why are you acting like this? Just because someone gave you there false documents?" Huan said to her angrily.

"Those aren't false so come out with it. Why did you do all that to defame my family!?" Lin said to him angrily.

"It's not true in the slightest. Someone who wants to cause dissent between us is the one who gave you those documents." Huan said to her angrily.

"You still want to do that! I know you're lying now! Because of you I lose a loving husband! I chose my family's reputation over him and it cost me him, his trust and a man who I could have trusted! But now I know that it would've been unnecessary if it weren't for you!" Lin said angrily as her Ki burst forth from her as she glared at him with hate.

Huan's eyes widened when he saw that she was using her Ki to show her anger at this time.

'Tch. Guess I can't talk myself out of this one.' Huan thought to himself as he huffed in annoyance.

"Fine. Yes, I did cause the things that caused your family to lose your reputation and influence." Huan said to her angrily as he glared at her.

"Bastard! What was the reason for doing that!?" Lin said angrily as she grabbed his collar.

"Because I can't stand the fact that a worthless man like him is married to someone of our status. Especially someone from the Xiao family! And also because it's you who he had married." Huan said to her in anger.

"So you were just jealous! That's why you made life difficult for him! When he had done nothing wrong and made him hate me!" Lin said in great anger as her chi rose up.

"Don't you dare accuse me of being jealous! It was his fault for daring to intrude into the circle of nobility! You should have known that and yet you chose someone like him marry you. When it should've been me!" Haun said to her in anger.

Lin's anger reached its peak when she heard that as she punched him hard. This sent him flying on the bed as it creaked and groaned due to the sudden weight. He grabbed his left cheek which is now red due to the punch as he looked at her in anger.

Lin meanwhile is huffing as she looked at him in anger as her chi was moving erratically in response to her anger as she glared at the man with hate in her eyes.

Huan just glared back before he got off of the bed and walked to her and glared at her. His anger and pride at her overpowering his other senses as he glared at her.

"So what, you going to defend him? Is that what you're going to do!?" Huan said to her angrily.

"Damn right I will. I did something unforgivable to him because of you. I'm not going to make the same mistake again." Lin said with a glare fixed on the man.

"Well, even if you know about it now. What can you do about it?" Huan asked her with a smirk.

"What do you mean by that?" Lin said with narrowed eyes.

"Even if you know about my involvement in your family losing its reputation. It won't matter much since you already lost more of your reputation and influence. In other words, you need my family to keep your family's status afloat." Huan said to her with a smirk on his face.

Lin's eyes widened when she heard that as she clenched her fist. She knew that, she had done some research on the way to her own house and knew that he was telling the truth and wanted nothing more than to deny it. But she facts spoke for themselves.

'If I divorce him now it would only reflect badly on my family. Not to mention he will surely do things that would be harmful to us.' Lin thought to herself as she looked at him.

She looked at him with resentment as she grit her teeth while he smiled at her and relished the look on her face.

'Damn it. What am I supposed to do?' Lin thought to herself in anger and frustration.
