The Thanatos, which was the name chosen for Eneas' first destination, was a beauty of a ship, a prodigy of engineering, smaller than a battleship but much larger than a frigate; it had slender, sinuous and imposing lines. She was a ship that stood out for its great speed, maneuverability, and firepower, comparable to or even superior to a battleship, thanks to a sacrifice in defense and loading capacity.
The holds could not even accommodate several frigates as in the large battleships, which in cases like the Argos could accommodate up to five, nor was it even planned to accommodate one. All the space to avoid a loss of combat power was to accommodate two hundred Mechas and six hundred fighters. The rest of the space was for fast ships, specifically two mail yachts, the Arcadia, a scientific cruiser, in this case the Astrolabe, and two Squife-type spy ships.
