Reward

_______________________

Option 1: 1 SP, 5 AP, and a small bag of holding

Option 2: 1 SP, 5 AP, and a rusty weapon of choice

Option 3: 1 SP, 5 AP, and 1 TP

"The first option is an obvious pick. An inventory or a storage bag is the most important in any game. No one wants to be carrying a huge bag filled with items around." Edward mumbled, ignoring the second choice and going to the third. "But you can only get talent points every ten levels. If I pick option three, I will be a level 1 with the talent of a level ten..."

His eyes shifted between the first and third options, trying to find which one is the best. After about three minutes of thinking, he decided to pick the first option. The TP is great, but an inventory would be more helpful.

"I just hope it won't turn out that the inventory bags are easy to get." He mumbled, chuckling to himself.

Once he picked his reward, a brown leather pouch appeared on the bathroom floor, some meters away from him. Walking to it and picking it up, Edward noticed a small blinking dot in the middle of the pouch. Focusing on it, the pouch information screen appeared in front of him.

[Small bag of holding - The bag of holding can store up to 30 pounds of items and would always weigh 15 pounds, regardless of its contents. Living things can not be stored within the bag. Thinking of the needed item you as reach into the pouch will cause it to be moved to the top of the space]

"I hoped it would hold up to 100 pounds, but beggars can't be choosers," Edward said as the screen disappeared while he tied it to his belt.

Edward then opened his status once more to see he now had 10 AP and 1 SP. Wondering how to build himself, Edward almost wanted to put everything into Arcane. I mean, who would pass out the chance to learn magic?

After thinking for a while, he decided on how to allocate his AP. First, he pressed the Arcane button, and immediately 5 AP disappeared. This shocked Edward as he only wished to put in one, but before he could complain, a warm feeling washed over his body as he lost four of his five senses. Only his sight remained, which was a strange feeling.

'What the fuck is going on!' Edward thought, panicked.

\Please, do not panic. To begin your growth, your body and mind must be rebuilt with the energy of this place for adaptability. Everything would return to normal before you know it\

An automated voice sounded in his head, which he recognized as the system. Just like the system said, he soon gained back his five senses. Confused, Edward touched around his body, trying to find what changed, but found nothing.

"What changed in me, system?" He asked, hoping to get an answer, but the system didn't respond. "It seems like it only speaks when needed to. I guess I can't be mad at that."

Looking back at his status, Edward noticed 5 AP was gone, but his Arcane only increased by 1 point, and his MP went up by 10.

"..." Edward was speechless as he stared at his arcane stats. "So Arcane needs 5 AP to be increased by one? What the fuck?" Sighing, he sent away his status screen. It made sense that arcane would need 5 AP to go up one. It was fucking magic.

Looking at the slime core on the ground, Edward walked toward it and squatted before it. To his surprise, the same blinking dot on the bag of holding that showed him its stat was on the slime core. Focusing on this dot, a system page appeared above the slime core.

[Slime Core - This was once the core of a weak acidic slime. It can be imbued into a weapon or equipment, giving it a mild burning sensation. It can also be crushed to gain the 50% of the Exp for killing the creature]

"Interesting," Edward mumbled, picking up the core with his index and thumb before dropping it in the bag of holding. He saw no need to crush it since it would only give him 0.5 Exp, which is nothing compared to the 675 he needed to level up. "Leveling would be hard. Killing a slime gives one exp, meaning I would need to kill 675 to level up to level 2. Damn."

Leaving the female bathroom, Edward entered the male to see if there were any slimes, finding none. Leaving the bathroom, he wondered why the slime in the female bathroom could affect the frozen world, but he couldn't. It was able to melt the girl's shoes, but he couldn't even move a door.

With that thought in mind, Edward tried to open a door, and to his surprise, it opened. The fucking door opened!

Surprised, Edward entered the classroom, which was almost empty except for a group of teachers having a conversation at the podium. Going up to the teachers, he pushed one of them, causing her to fall face-first to the floor.

"Oh, shit. I can affect the still world." Edward said, somewhat excited. Going up to the teacher, he picked her up, putting her on her feet. He stared at her before shaking his head. 'Maybe I am in a virtual world and being watched by others to see what I would do. Fuck now. I need some self-control.' He thought, walking away.

*Squelch* *Squelch*

"A slime." He grinned once he heard the noise. Something to take his mind away from those devilish thoughts. As they say, an ideal mind is the devil's workshop.

Running down the hall to the sound of where the slime noise came from, Edward noticed it was from the stairway. Opening the door, he saw clear slime bouncing up the stairs. It stopped as if sensing something before it continued bouncing up, leaving a trail of goo.

After reaching the top of the stairs, it started moving towards Edward's left leg. Before it could touch his shoes, he lifted it. The slime changed its direction and started moving towards the other foot on the ground.

This action intrigued him, but Edward wasn't going to waste his time studying slime and their behavior. He stepped down on the slime, causing it to burst. Checking the log, he noticed the slime was also at level 0 like the last one he killed, and it only gave him 1 Exp.

"Welp, 674 more slimes to kill." Edward sighed, wondering where he could find those many slimes.
