Eating the multiverse (Worldcross) (SI)

I'm sure you all know the story a guy who gets ripped from his normal life and sent to a new world by a Random Omniscient being. where they will beat all the bad guys and get all the waifus by doing next to no work for it. I'll tell you now that this is not that type of story I have been given one job to do and that is to devour worlds slated to be destroyed but I think I should tell you a bit about myself and how I would be given this job.

I would say that I'm just like every other poor sap working a dead-end job that they hate earning just enough to support themselves but not enough to get farther in life. I had no one to fall back on and no one to call for support. I wanted more I needed more I had a hunger for more that couldn't be satisfied by what I had now and where I was in life at that moment. I thought this hunger of mine was from a source of selfishness that I couldn't be content with what I had. but it would be thanks to this hunger that I would be noticed by a being far above me. I would be summoned forth by this being and given an opportunity to satisfy my great hunger. what I didn't expect was the job offer this being to give me. Devour worlds that are slated to be destroyed to make way for new worlds. You would think that I would feel bad for destroying worlds but if I was being honest, I didn't feel anything for these worlds I just wanted to curb my hunger for more. I accepted the offer almost immediately. I was informed that I would be given a new form one more suited for the job and a phone that would give me my assignments and transport me to the doomed worlds. I was then whisked away to my first assignment never to see this being again.

" I wonder if it was a good idea to unleash such a hunger onto the Multiverse. Oh well, not my problem anymore though it would be good to check in on him now and again."
