chapter 2: new world

The next morning young master Gabriel was woken up by one of the many maids that worked for their family. when Gabriel opened up his eyes it took him a moment to remember where he had been. he was in a new world with dangers that he wasn't save from in his own home. he knew someone wanted him dead, well they wanted Gabriel dead, which had happened but nobody was expecting for his body to be overtaken. So Julius now Gabriel couldn't trust anyone but he also couldn't act recklessly. 

Julius laid in his bed for a few minutes contemplating on how he would live his new life and survive. A few moments later the same maid came back to Gabriel's room" young master, the family head has asked you to come to the main building for breakfast today." after she had said that she began to walk away when she suddenly turned around and said " all your siblings are back and will be there." The reason she had added all his siblings would be there was because the two oldest hadn't been back for almost 7 years. Gabriel was 9 the last time he had seen his two older siblings. they had been sent to the north region to fight the orcs. 

The venture family was situated in the Southern region of the of Venzelios. the orcs and human have alway fought and sighed treaties but something always lead to them fighting. The continent of Venzelios is divided into four regions. The north region belongs to the orcs and goblins. The southern region is most populated by humans but at times you can find other races. The western region belongs to the Elves, they don't mix with other races much but the do corporate when the situation is dire. The east belongs to the dwarfs, dwarfs are master craftsmen so many nations offer them protection and many valuable things because a great weapon is always better than just a regular weapon. Almost all the divine items found all over the galaxy are from a dwarf culture. 

Gebreid had gotten out of bed and put on his outfit for the day. He was wearing a dark blue suit with complementary dress pants. Julius wasn't a fan of the fancy clothes he but he was gonna be face to face with his new family so he didn't want to seem out of place. Julius didn't have the chance to pay attention to the buildings around him yesterday but today he found every building was probably able to house a couple thousand people each. the buildings looked grand and the dragon symbol of the venture family was stamped to the front of every building. the gold and red of the symbol stood out next to the white and clean buildings. 

The main building was probably the biggest building Julius has ever seen. It looked like a football stadium. The main building had two huge dragons laying still, sleeping calmly. Gabriel stared at the dragons who were the size of a plane and was dumb founded. Young master Gabriel had seen dragons before and the memories started popping up in his head. these two dragons belonged to his older siblings that had came back. 

Gabriel strode right into the building not wanting to take a chance with being dragon breakfast. The dragons had long been tamed but the pressure the released still made a newbie like Gabriel shake in his boots. The inside of the building seemed to be decorated with money. Everywhere Gabriel looked there was something shiny and expensive. 

Some of the servants around the house noticed the young master looking around dazed. He seemed out of place and awkward like he had never been there. The servant was choking on his words and what to say when he finally decided to speak" young master are you alright?" he looked concerned like something was wrong with Gabriel.

Gabriel hadn't even noticed the man standing next to him. given a quick shock Gabriel jumped back a little from the man giving them some distances. the servant awkwardly smiled at Gabriel and had a million thoughts running through his head. Gabriel was known for being stubborn but never harsh or cruel to any of the servants, he would always show respect to them as long as they didn't go overboard. Many of the servants treated him like their own child and this butler was one of them. Seeing Gabriel jump back like that made the servant feel like something was wrong '' young master I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you" he apologized immediately just in case Gabriel decided to act like his other siblings. Most of them were stuck up and arrogant.If you asked the servant their honest opinions on their young master other than the oldest two and Gabriel the rest of them were terrible kids and stuck up. 

When Gabriel had seen it was just one of their regular works he sighed in relief " Oh don't worry Astol" Gabriel quickly reassured him things were alright "oh do you mind leading me to the dining room. Father had said that the whole family was supposed to be there" when Astol heard that he frowned slightly. He had known the reason Gabriel was called over today other than his siblings being back. Astol just nodded quietly and started leading Gabriel to the room. 

Gabriel didn't find it to weird that Astol wasn't chatty as he always is. He just merely thought he was stressed about accommodating all the young masters and young ladies. Gabriel was just paying attention to the beautiful paintings all around he building, each piece told it's own story and had stunting diversity yet high class. As Gabriel was looking at the paintings he notice a light blue writings all over the walls. the more he paid attention the more clear the became. it was just light there was writing. all types of symbols were written on the walls. Gabriel jagged through his memory and found of his father explain that every wall had a protection runes written on it. 

Through his memory Gabriel also remembered that runes shouldn't be visible unless activated. There was no alarms going off so Gabriel knew they weren't active. He decided to keep the information to himself " this wasn't something the original body was capable off " he thought to himself. He had two semi-cheats the other world where he could train endlessly and now seeing runes without a magic tool or being active. He didn't know the full capabilities of his cheats but at least he had a cheat. He still wished for a system that probably would've made things easier and he wouldn't have to fight for resources with other people, his cheat system could;d just give him exp for killing or quests, but unfortunately he didn't have one.

As they made their way to the main building Astol stopped and looked at Gabriel for a quick second frowning. Astol even though a butler had trained platinum tier 5 aura master. He could be said to be more powerful than most of the knights that had a lot of battle experience. Astol wasn't just a butler though he had been following Gabriel's father since they were in the academy, had he not suffered an injury prior to Gabriel's birth he would still be going to a new battlefield. those were the old days now he was just a butler that could fight somewhat. he didn't show his frown to Gabriel but he couldn't stay for what was about to happen. he put his hand on Gabriel's shoulder and said" I know they probably only told you about your siblings being back but there is another reason you were called here." he didn't wasn't anytime and walked away.

When Gabriel heard what Astol said he froze on the spot. There was already an attempt at his life and now he felt a strange feeling of sadness from Astol he started to break in sweat. As he stood there contemplating what to do next Astol shouted from a distance " act natural young master I've already put myself in risk letting you know there is something else" this snapped Gabriel back into his body. He took a deep breath and opened the door. 

When he interned the room he notice the massive table with all types of meals on there. Gabriel tried counting how many foods there were but it was too many for him to count. He lightly shook his head. Julius had lived a humble life but seeing so much food and only 8 people sitting there waiting. this was completely wasteful in his mind but he didn't say anything and walked inside.

His father Aragon venture(55 years old) sat at the head of the table. Next to him was his mother Emery Venture(53). After his mother and father on the right side were his brothers Nor(30), Audley(22), and his youngest sibling Turan(10). On the left were his sisters Shirin(27), Rozalia(25) , and Subria9(18). Gabriel only had good relationships with his mother,Nor, and Shirin. he didn't have anything against his younger brother Turan but Turan didn't like Gabriel so they weren't great but at least Gabriel was forgiven and never harbored bad feelings for his younger brother. As for Audley,Rozalia, and Subria they always made things difficult for the past Gabriel so you could say they hate each other but now that Julius was in control he didn't even wanna bother with them. 

" Hello father and mother," Gabriel said once he got closer. He bowed slightly to show respect to his parents and threw a gentle smile at his mother. she smiled back and his father pointed him to the right side with the rest of the boys not saying anything. 

Once Gabriel made it to his seat, he sat down but didn't make himself a plate. Once Gabriel was seated one of the servants walked up with a prepared plate already. Even though Gabriel rarely ate with his family, the servants still knew what he liked to eat. on the plate a bunch of fruit and vegetables. Even though there are a lot of meat options Gabriel usually liked starting his morning off with healthy fruits and vegetables. Julius on the other hand liked to have whatever for breakfast he wasn't too picky but he also wasn't a fan of vegetables. 

he started to eat the fruits and slowly nibble on the vegetables." welcome back brother Nor and Sister Shirin, I'm glad you guys came back safe." Gabriel said once he finished chewing. Nor turned and smiled at Gabriel'' Thanks Gabriel, how have you been? "Shirin joined in " thanks lil brother, it was some work but we managed to fend off the orcs." Shirin had dark long hair that went all the way down her back. She had a gentle smile but she didn't look like a pushover. the aura she had alone would have many Knights shaking if she didn't control it. 

Gabriel for some reason felt like he missed these two people once they spoke to him. They weren't his actual siblings so why'd he feel so warm toward them? He just set it aside as part of the memory merge." Other than getting attacked yesterday, I'm actually fine otherwise." Gabriel knew that the Knight from yesterday had reported to his father so he assumed that it wasn't big news and just said it casually. The room tensed up and everything was silent. the servants didn't dare to move or even if they wanted to it might have been too late. Nor and Shirin's faces turned black, they were doing their best to control their aura but it was gushing out at this point. all the weak servants and younger siblings started feeling like mountains slowly crawl up their shoulders. Gabriel, his father, and mother were alright. Gabriel was okay because Both his siblings were intentionally stopping their aura from hurting Gabriel and his parents were too strong for them to be affected. 

His mother was also very mad but she had better control than her kids" honey what do you mean you were attacked yesterday?" she asked with a concerned look. Gabriel noticed that maybe his father hadn't told everyone present. " Someone snuck in yesterday and inured me badly, there was a knight close by so the assailant didn't get to finish me off. the knight told father so I thought you all knew" . He lied about that the assailant made sure that Gabriel was dead and even used more strength than necessary. his mom turned and looked at his father with a frown. " did you capture the assailant?" she asked coldly. 

"There is no need to catch him. I know who is behind the attack but since it's one of your siblings men I will not make a move. as to why I won't be doing anything you guys already know " he dragged that last sentence .He slowly looked around and everyone but Gabriel seemed to immediately know. " Gabriel, you have been training to duel wield for two years now. Everyone that started with you has already made it to the bronze ranks. You sadly don't have talent for being an aura warrior, not being able to break through rookie tier as a venture and even after two years you are a disappointment. you will be sent to greyhound academy and stay there till you finish their course or they kick you out honestly it's up to them" Aragon had said so much in succession it was all running through their heads" Aragon what are you talking about?" Emary asked while frowning. This was News to her because she didn't know what Aragon was talking about. " From today on Gabriel will no longer carry the name or nobility of the venture family. once he finishes his meal he will be sent away" Aragon didn't even bother to turn to look at Emary. 

Some of Gabriel's siblings were clearly shining from the news they heard while Nor and Shirin weren't afraid of their father so they both shot glares at him" what do you mean father" Nor asked trying to contain himself but he was still shaking with anger. Shirin hadn't said anything but if looks could kill hers would be more dangerous than anyone else in the room. Gabriel on the other hand was stressing.

Now he knew who had attacked him but then he found out and now he couldn't even do anything to them. Gabriel felt gloomy, this was a world he didn't know enough about but now once he finished his meal he would be kicked out of the safest place for now at least. After hearing his father speak he didn't feel like eating anymore. He tried remembering where the greyhound academy was. The academy was still in the same galaxy but it was a couple light years. 

Gabriel stopped, was he thinking right? a couple light years? then Gabriel truly realized how big the venture family was. they had great influence over many planets. Greyhound wasn't great as the planet his family stayed on but Gabriel started forgetting about danger and started to get excited. He now had a chance to travel many planets as long as he was strong. Getting strong isn't so easy but Gabriel was already thinking of ways to get stronger with his cheats. 

He put on a calm face and didn't look as troubled as his siblings were hoping. Gabriel didn't even have the expression they wanted for longer than a few seconds and it seemed he realized something." If that's the decision you have come to I won't trouble you or ask you for justification. Your justification is nothing more than that I have no talent and you see no use for having me around. well I won't complicate things and get out of your way" this wasn't his first time getting kicked out so he didn't need to kick up a storm. 

Gabriel turned to his mother, Nor, and Shirin and said '' even though father has cut ties with me I can see you three don't want me to go but my life was already put in danger and my guess is father knew head or at least expected. you guys might think it's safer for me here but I think I'm better off at the academy. if I can't achieve anything with the same resources as everyone there then father was indeed right."Before he could finish Nor spoke up" that is academy is the weakest out the top 10 academies, father you could have at least put him somewhere better" he was anger and didn't hold back his thoughts. Aragon looked at his oldest son with a clam face" That is the best place his talent can afford to take him even with the name of venture" he finished speaking and didn't even glance at Gabriel. 

Aragon had final say in the family since he was the head. even if they disagreed with him they couldn't do anything about it. Emary, Nor, and Shirin kept arguing for Gabriel even though at some point it started feeling like they were arguing against Aragon and for some odd reason Gabriel who was feeding reasons for his father. after 10 or so minutes of them arguing they had given up. 

The room now was empty, all that was left were four people. Emary, Nor, and Shirin were in deep thought. Out of the four people in the room Gabriel seemed the most relaxed. He was getting sent away and cut off from his family but he was calm like he was having the most relaxing day. The three noticed something was off about Gabriel's. He was a nice and considerate kid but if he was told something like this he would be freaking out but he was sitting in front of them calm. 

he noticed the strange looks he was getting from his family or at least the ones that still considered him family. Gabriel took a deep breathe" mother were you the one who named me?" the three of them turned and looked at Gabriel cause he just asked a weird question out of nowhere. his mother was surprised for a second and shook her head" not it was your father who named you " this was great news for Gabriel he immediately light up and smiled" good good good " Gabriel said as his smile got bigger and Wider. His mother and siblings couldn't thinking of what made Gabriel say that. they looked at each other confused trying to gauge if any of them understood. 

as they were looking at each other confused. 

Gabriel jumped on the table and took a very deep breath and exiled calmly" from today onward Gabriel Venture will be buried and no longer exists" he shouted pretty loud so people around the house and other rooms heard him. His father and other siblings were surprised on why they just heard him yelling, something he'd ever done, but once they heard the full sentence they got angry " how dare a piece of trash denounce the venture name" Audley said adamantly with a ugly look on his face. The rest of his siblings agreed with him but his father couldn't care. 

Back in the room Gabriel was talking to his mother and siblings' ' I will change my name to Julius Nero when I get the chance' ' Julius had decided to use another emperor for his last name. The mother and siblings saved the name to their memory. now they understood why Gabriel asked if his mother named him because he didn't want to hurt her. 

" Julius, Julius, Julius" mother Emary said three times and she was delighted she liked the new name her son had given himself. She was still sad that her child won't be by her said anymore but she was also glad to see a change in his timid personality and is even taking something like this head on. She had to believe in her son and let him become the new man he wants to become. 

Nor and Shirin on the other hand were planning on getting even with whoever attacked Gabriel. " Gab... Julius I can have some of my men go to greyhound with you" Nor spoke up after thinking for a while" no offense brother but I plan on doing things on my own, it feels kinda refreshing having the responsibilities of a noble are of my shoulders I can do anything I want" Julius said confidently but he really didn't have any plans or knew where to start but he couldn't stay around anymore he existed to get out. Nor reluctantly gave up" at least let me fly you to the portal for greyhound" he stood up and reached in his pocket and pulled out a ring " this is my spare storage ring. there should be enough money and weapons. I honestly threw whatever I didn't keep in my main ring in his one" as Julius was reaching out he stopped. Nor was a peak rank so anything he could possibly have was valuable yet he was passing his whole ring to him. This touched Julius and even made him grateful for Gabriel having such good siblings. Once Shirin saw him give the ring she took out a ring of her own " this idiot older brother only knows money and weapons. I bet you he doesn't even have a healing pill or potion. with this ring you will be set with healing and boost pills. plus there's all types of magic scrolls and books in there, I'm not expecting you to learn all of them but they should be useful to you. 

Julius happily took both rings. What he saw next left him speechless. These two siblings had dumped millions if not billions worth. He could probably live off these things but when he started doing some quick calculation most of the items for cultivation would last him only a couple of breakthroughs before they started running out. Julius had a slight understanding of how much resource it took to train. He then looked through the books and magic. 

aura and mana were used differently so people who specialized in both were common. Most people with talent for mana became mages but some became knight mages which where knights that used aura and mana. Gabriel knew even though he had access to all these powerful spells and moves yet he couldn't practices them because he wasn't strong enough. he would love to be a jack of all trades but he was already a aura master as dual sword master and Gabriel always wanted to reach the peak with duel swords so Julius subconsciously agreed to also become the peak using dual swords. 

after talking some more with his mother and siblings Julius and Nor walked out of the main building to where the two dragons laid. The green one belonged to Nor and was bigger than the other dragon not by much though. The dragon was massive so there was plenty of space to sit or lay.

It would take them about 30 minutes to get to the portal. every world is able to support one portal. There have been attempts to create more portals in the world but it leads to the destruction of the plant every time. so people stopped attempting to create more portals. 

on their way to the portal Nor explained the situation on Greyhound., that planet was mainly human populated and rarely other races are there. except for the academy teachers who were hired to work most other races didn't like being there. Another thing about greyhounds were the nobles there were the type of nobles Julius,Nor,and Shirin couldn't stand. They were people who only hid behind their family names and did terrible things. Nor warned Julius to stay away from them and even more now that Julius lost his title. Julius knew of these types of nobles and he didn't plan to get entangled with them til he got stronger but he planned to remember everyone who crossed him or were just distasteful people.
