" Thank you again Astus. I couldn't imagine being in a coma with anyone else!" Alixandre gave a smirk before heading toward the black door. Orion stood behind Astus as if he was his father. The two had truly bonded during their time here. Alixandre's inner child, the protector of his worst memories, had grown to like Astus quite a bit. Astus had tried his best to be a father figure toward him, showering him with love and praise. Alixandre could feel the anger inside of him dissipate a bit, but his true self was too murderous to change. The damage was already done.

Saying his goodbyes, Alixandre walked through the door and his eyes had finally opened after four years. As soon as his consciousness settled, he felt blood resonance within the castle. With no recollection of how much time had passed, he could only ask himself, " Why are my parents still here?"

His thoughts were interrupted as his room door slammed open. A surprised Amara burst through and hugged Alixandre as hard as she could. He could only return her warmth. Listening to her sobs, he caressed her hair and their eyes met. The teary-eyed girl could barely keep her composure.

" Don't cry my little Amara. I know the past few months have been harsh on you, but I'm back now."

Alixandre caught her slight grimace when he mentioned months.

" Amara, how long have I been asleep?" His tone was indifferent, but a slight bloodlust radiated from his body.

" It's been four years. I'm so sorry! My mother had punished my dad already. Please forgive us!" Alixandre stared at the teary-eyed woman blankly. Four years? Four years of his life had been wasted and if he was anyone else, he'd be dead!"

Alixandre could feel Astus's presence inside of him, reminding him of their promise. He swore on his magic that he wouldn't exact revenge. If he did, Astus would take over his body for a short period and Alixandre would be forced to stay with Orion in his corridor of bad memories.

With a few short breaths, he slowly calmed down and looked at Amara with kind eyes.

" No worries. I won't try to harm anyone. I would probably die or get put into another coma if I tried anyway." With a light chuckle and smile, the gloomy atmosphere went away and Amara informed him of all he'd missed.

" You mean to tell me that demons fear me enough not to attack Pondwell and the countries by us? I know I'm strong, but I don't think that I'm that strong."

Amara could feel immense power radiating off his body. He was only slightly weaker than her mother, but that meant that his wolf form was unfathomable.

" Everyone's seer's talk of you dying the planet red in blood. Everyone is cautious. Especially since the news got out that you survived your head getting cut off. You even have a cult of wolves who think you are a god. Though they may not be too far off."

" It seems like you took the news pretty well. Don't you fear me? Think I'm crazy right?"

Amara shook her head. The rumors of Alixandre being a genocidal psychopath did surprise her, but if it was the man she knew, it had to be for a good reason.

" I'm not afraid at all. I already knew that you were a nutcase. I watched you struggle with controlling your blood frenzy. It took you a lot longer than anyone I'd ever seen. Whatever the reason may be, I know you won't harm me or my family."

The pair heard loud footsteps approaching the door. Alixandre had a wide grin, waiting on the woman he could feel coming.

" Hello, Sofia." He waved at the wide-eyed woman. She couldn't believe her eyes. Her lover had finally awakened. With an awkward cough, she regained her composure, but she couldn't help the reddining of her cheeks under Alixandre's gaze.

" Are you not going to speak to the father of your child?" he said playfully. " These years have treated your body well."

Sophia could see Amara's slight pout, but she ignored it and only focused on the man in front of her.

" I'm glad to see you awake Alixandre." She could barely look him in the eyes. Alixandre could literally see her heart pounding in her chest using divine eyes. The fact that it worked on her was a testament to his new strength.

" Drop the facade, Sophia. Do you remember that we're connected?"

Sophia finally let her feelings flow and walked slowly towards the bed to hug Alixandre softly. He could feel the four years of pent-up lust and love through their bond.

" I'm happy to be back. I feel a blood resonance here. Is it my child?"

With a nod, Sophia walked to the door and yelled," Silas! Papa is awake!"

Alixandre could feel him getting closer and closer. The boy was abnormally fast for a four-year-old. A small figure with dark blonde hair and ruby-like red eyes peeked through the door and burst into tears instantly at the sight of his father.

" Papa!"
