Chapter 5 Princess Ella

~Dani~

While walking down the forest, Dani's cloth got stuck with a branch of tree, while she was struggling to loose it she heard the sound of people approaching. She looked ahead of her but saw no body, but the next time she looked ahead of her to be sure, she saw some men running. They weren't running to her, but they were running away from some other people. When the men running passed by her, that was when she realized that they were running at a very vast speed that she could not even imagine. The men only sped pass her without even reacting as if they saw someone, but when Dani had a short eye contact with one of them he looked at her with a shocked expression before he sped off, when Dani looked back the man also looked back at her before she was out of his sight.

"They escaped" A man said.

Dani turned her head to look at the men that were chasing after them, but what greeted her sight made her heart skip a beat. The men were now standing before her, they were dressed in armor just like the warriors she used to see in movies. The men stood there as if they couldn't believe what they saw, some of them even widened their eyes in shock until a man dressed in an armor different from the others walked up to her and bowed.

"Princess" The man said and the other men bowed. Dani didn't know what to do or say, minutes passed by and the men were still on their kneels bowing waiting for her to tell them to stand up but Dani didn't say anything.

The man in front of her raised up his head to look at her

"Princess, where have you been. The King and the Queen as been looking for you for months" The Man said. Figuring out what to do, Dani pretended to look weak so she lifted her hand to touch her forehead with the back of her hand to indicate that she has a pain in her head before she slumped into the ground pretending to be unconscious and the men fell for it. Dani felt the man came over to her to check her before carrying her.

"We have to take her highness to the castle, everyone must be happy to see her" The man said and in the next moment Dani really slept off.

"Who are you" Dani heard the voice of the man whom she dreamt of before. She looked around but everything was black, she couldn't see anything.

"Human!" She heard his voice again repeatedly.

"Run" She heard his voice again, but now it sounded more like a warning and it echoed repeated in her ears until it started to fade.

Dani suddenly opened her eyes and was panting heavily.

"A dream? it's just a bad dream. And this man, why does he keeps appearing" Dani thought.

She calmed her racing heart and realized she was lying on a bed. She sat up and looked around but didn't recognize the room until she saw a painting of a lady that looked exactly like her on the wall. She examined the painting, the princess wore a beautiful dress and a silver made tiara was placed on her head, looking the princess frame, she could tell that she was strong and confident.

She looked around again and saw a fire burning in the fire pace. She stood up from the bed barefooted and walked towards the window. She lifted up the curtains and looked at the scenery outside.

"Snow?" She saw that everything outside was covered in snow. Of course, no wonder it was cold in the forest. While watching the scenery outside the window, she saw soldiers on horse moving into the the gates and then she was reminded about what happened before she was here.

'Those men must have brought me to the..., wait I'm in the palace right now' Dani thought. She was startled when the door of the room opened, the door of the room opened. A maid came in.

"Oh my, your highness you are awake." The maid was shocked at first but rejoices after seeing me standing.

"The King and the Queen including the prince and everyone in the palace are definitely happy to see you alive and back home."

"The King and the Queen?" I looked at her acting confused.

"Oops, sorry. The physician said you had an injury in your head so you lost some memories."

"But you got everyone scared, we thought you were gone forever, even your brother the prince never stopped looking for you" The maid said looking sad.

"I was scared the night you ran away when I was busy preparing your bath. I thought I was gonna die when you left because they might have thought that..., that I kidnapped you as we were the only one in your room" The maid said, her voice sounded pained as she almost wanted to cry.

'This must be princess Ella's closest maid' Dani thought

"Oh, I have said too much. I will take my leave your highness. I have to relay this news to the majesties and the prince." The maid said cheerfully as she cleaned her eyes that were brimming with tears.

"Uh..., wait" Dani called out to her but she dashed out of the room and closed the door behind. Dani didn't even know why she was calling her, but the maid already left.
