Chapter 1- Enter, Derrick and Erick

The unmistakable sound of a tennis ball reverberated through the air, amplified by the cheers of the crowd. Two young boys, Derrick and Erick, battled fiercely on the court for the Junior Tennis Championship. The intense rally saw sweat droplets falling like miniature nuclear bombs. As Erick prepared to serve, Derrick tensed up, eyes locked on the ball.

The crowd hushed in anticipation. Erick's serve soared over the net, and Derrick, straining to reach it, couldn't make the catch. In the stands, a father couldn't contain his pride, a subtle smile exchanged with his wife.

A calming voice announced, "Advantage, Erick." The tension on the court heightened as Erick prepared for another serve. Derrick, fueled by determination, returned the ball with the speed of a sprinter. Eric, displaying the serenity of a Tai Chi master, received the ball, but it sailed just outside the line.

Once again, the voice intoned, this time with a hint of excitement, "Out, Deuce." In the stands, a mother shared a triumphant glance with her husband.

Erick, closing his eyes, readied himself for his serve. He tossed the ball into the air, eyes snapping open like a tiger's, and delivered a rocketing serve, achieving an ace. "Advantage, Erick," the voice declared.

The father thought to himself, "That's my boy." Derrick, noticing his mother's concern, ignited his inner strength. Suddenly, a fiery serve came to Derrick's racquet. He sprinted, managing to catch it, but the sheer heat of the ball sent him tumbling.

"Match point, Erick!" the voice called. Eric's joy shifted quickly to concern as he saw his brother crying out in pain. He yelled for help, and the medics rushed onto the court to assist.

In the stands, emotions ran high. The mother trembled in fear and horror, while the father, still proud of Erick's performance, gave a reassuring thumbs-up, embracing his wife. "I'm sure he's going to be alright," he whispered, his voice laced with hope.
