Duke Frederick did not appear to be afraid of Clancy. He walked over and placed his hand on her shoulder. She shot him a look and quickly retracted it. He made his way over to Beatrice. He took the watering can from her and sat it down on a nearby wooden stool.
She smiled at him. He took her in his arms, and they began dancing. Beatrice let out a giggle.
"There is no music." She told him.
"We can make our own." The Duke said and began humming the waltz.
Beatrice held on to him, and they danced through the aisles. He placed a kiss on her lips. It felt like a jolt of electricity went through her. Memories of her and Beleth's first night played in her mind like a movie she could not turn off.
They had stood on the hill with the rolling grass and red flowers. He had asked her to dance. There was no music then. She felt the tears coming. The Duke did not seem to notice. He was caught up dancing.
