17 fucking years in this shit hole of a universe spent doing nothing. You hear all about reincarnated people making it big by any number of things from investment and movies or music to doing all the right things to become a god In less than a year.

but I'm still hear at the bottom just doing what I can to survive. You may ask 'why not use your meta knowledge to help you get connections' I'll give you a counterpoint 'how would I do anything with no money or background other than an orphan' like seriously what could I have done.

and to make it worse I live in fucking Gotham but nowhere near anything or anyone interesting. But I digress i was just chilling in my apartment doing absolutely nothing when I heard this mechanical ding sound in my head.

"oh please tell me that's a system and I'm not about to be mind-fucked" it's a possibility.

(System is split into 3 parts

Character.

change into the Main Character/s from the chosen universe.

Items.

Aquire any items a form would normally hold.

Power.

Once every roll for a universe you have a chance to Aquire a singular thing from that universe be it a power or item.)

"With that last one what does it mean by rolls"

(Everyday a 15 sided die is rolled each face corresponding to a singular universe the chosen side is the universe that all powers will come from for that week)

"oh ok so it's kinda like a roulette of powers than so what's this week"

(The current universe is Prototype)

"ok pretty good so can I chose the character or do I just get the MC of the verse"

(you can only use the Main Character of that universe. as a bit of compromise you will get the character at the end of their journey.

or in the case of a game with multiple main characters you can chose you character and swap any time.)

Ok so no picking the big bad of the respective verse. "Can you give me a list of the universes I can get"

Alex Mercer has pushed though the influence of Elizabeth Greenes power over the black light virus and has been able to stay himself even after gaining the memories of more that 1000 people you now have a similar amount of will power that cannot be broken [you will not qualify for a green lantern ring as you have Acquired the Will from an external source])

after I was done reading it I tried to feel for the increased will until I realised that was stupid and I just moved on. "Ok how do I change into the character"

(you just need to will it to happen.)

following the systems advice I willed to become Alex Mercer. At the moment of the transformation I felt a momentary flash of pain before a shit ton of information was dumped into my brain.

looking at my hands I can see that I'm now wearing Alex's iconic hoodie. Following the information in my head I slowly turned my hands into massive claws with wires of black and red biomass running up my arms.

looking at them I couldn't help myself I started to change the claws into Alex's other weapons like his blade or his shields. Spending almost 2 hours just playing with my new (temporary) powers I decided to go really try them out so I changed my looks back to my old ones and left the house.

after 30 minutes of walking I had made it far enough for me to be comfortable changing so I walked into an alley and made sure no one was there. When I was totally sure I quickly transformed back into Alex and scaled the building.

at the top I looked around and relaxed when even with my virus enhanced senses I couldn't find anyone on the roofs near me. Walking over to the edge I transformed my arms into extendable tentacles and latching onto the side of a much taller building before pulling a spider-man and jumping off the building to swing through the air.

after another 30 minutes I found what I was looking for a member of the Batfam specifically black bat. Swinging closer I was able to see the second she became aware of me because she froze and whipped her head around concerningly fast.

landing on the roof across from her I made no movements at all except raising my hands in a surrendering manner and pushing as much intent to talk into my body language as possible, which is an almost infinite amount considering I had total biokinesis over my self and practically limitless will too.

after 2 minute stand off she nodded softly before reaching up to her comm slowly and tapping it 4 time quickly and lowing her hands back down carefully. I nodded my head and plopped down onto the floor and just started playing with my biokinesis. Awhile later I saw her make her way over and start watching what I was doing, eventually I asked.

"do you wanna know what I'm doing" she gently nodded her head and I continued "well currently I'm just mucking around with my power trying to see if I can cure illnesses at the moment I'm trying to give myself cancer" she looked at me alarmed "don't worry I won't actually get sick I'm immune to all illnesses by the fact I am one currently" 

She just tilts her head confused "I am at the moment a completely sentient virus called black light only shaped as a human" her eyes widened and she hurriedly backed away from me but I get it it sounds like a typical bad guy power so I just shrugged and continued playing with myself (haha).

While I'm doing that I quickly think to the system 'do you stop mind reading'

'Cool, don't just make my mind completely normal with only the memories of this life and non about the system' it would look hella suspicious if my mind was completely impenetrable to even the Martian Manhunter.
