Dawn of a Twisted Halo

*Notice* This is my first time writing a novel. Please be considerate of this fact and please give me feedback on my writing. Also, as this is a fan-fic, I will be taking a lot of content from the Halo Universe and from other stories as well. I do not own a lot of the content, but the main character will be mostly original, with the exception of powers from other characters. Thank you and I hope you enjoy this fan-fic. *Notice* This story will be entirely based on the Halo Universe and the plan, for now, is not to include any cross overs from any other universe except for powers for the main character.

A New Life, A New Me - Part 4

(AN/: WARNING. Info Dump Chapter)

I had selected my curses, Gender bender, Very Fuckable, Blank Slate, Slave, and One with Death, raising my points from 1000 to 50000. And now it was time for the good part. Getting abilities.

'System, show me what I can buy with points.'

[*Ding* There are 5 categories that Host can shop in]

[

- Skills

- Innate Talents

- System Updates

- Items

- Mutations

]

I looked at the list. I understood what skills, talents, and items were, but the rest I wasn't sure of. 'System, what is system updates and mutations'

[*Ding* System updates give the system new abilities. They are things like maps, quests, shops, inventory expansion.]

[*Ding* Mutations allow the host to change their own body. They are things like, tougher skin, self-healing cells, cat ears, etc]

I looked at the descriptions and I couldn't help feel overwhelmed. These options gave me so much control and freedom for what I could do. It basically allowed me to overhaul the system and I could turn myself from a human into something like a dragon. But I decided that I would first split my budget. I would give myself 5000 for skills, 10000 for talents, 15000 for system updates, 5000 for items, and 15000 for mutations. Time to go shopping.

Ahhh, I finally finished. Man, my head hurts from all the calculations I needed to do. Haa. Looking at the list of what I bought, I can't help but feel a sense of satisfaction.

Ah, I was able to buy so many skills and talents. Just looking at the amount makes me feel satisfied and also makes my head hurt. I guess I'm going to have to go through all of them. Starting off with the skills which are actually just what they sound like. Gun Mastery allows me to master any gun that I touch, allowing me to use it as well as a someone who used the gun for their whole life. It also teaches me general knowledge on how to take care of my guns. From daily maintenance to repairs, I can do it all. Survivalist teaches me how to survive on my own in many different hazardous environments. It gives me the ability to tell what is poisonous or not, how to get proper nutrition, shelter, and the like. Melee Combat Mastery teaches me how to fight with my body. It increases my proficiency in melee fights and my ability to pick up other melee styles.

The talents are simple as well. Fast learning increases the speed at which I can master skills and abilities. Adaptability allows me to adapt to any situation no matter what. Be it zero gravity or underwater. I can do it all. Unseen increases my stealth capabilities and allows me to hide my skills, aura, and other information from analytical means. Linguistic allows me to be a master at conversation. It allows me to subtly influence others through speeches or negotiations. It also auto translates any language to my native language, which is English. When I give the intent to speak to someone who does not understand my language, it auto-translate my speech to their preferred language. Quite handy I might add.

Next are the system updates. Basic Quests turns all missions given to me into quests. The quests can sometimes include rewards that come from the systems shops. It also gives me daily quests. There are also penalties for certain quests. Advance status puts all my stats and skills on a status screen that I can only see. It's like an RPG game status. It also allows me to analyze my enemy's status depending on their strength, or level. The system automatically tells me the average of my enemy strength by assigning them levels. The advance Inventory just gives me infinite storage for system-related items and a 100 by 100 cubic miles worth of inventory for non-system items. Gacha makes it so enemies have the chance of dropping Gacha tickets. Gacha tickets can be used in a gacha to get items, skills, talents, and mutations. But certain overpowered things are not available in the basic gacha. That is where premium gacha comes into play. Premium gacha gives me the ability to convert 100 gacha tickets into a premium gacha ticket. The premium gacha allows me to choose up to 3 categories for the gacha to spin. Say that I put the categories as sword, soulbound, and katana. Then the gacha will only give out something that fits all 3 categories. Another thing about the premium gacha is that it gives me weekly premium spins and daily regular spins for free. The advance map allows me to map places that I have been too. It helps to detect enemies and allows me to teleport to safe locations deemed by the system for no cost. This means no distance limitations, no cooldowns, etc.

Next are the Items. I choose a pair of soulbound pistols. They are a set, meaning they are stronger when one equips both of them. They also grow along with me. The stronger I get, the stronger they get. Another thing is that they can transform to fit the world's standard ranged weapon. The pistol Lucem, which means light in Latin, is basically a spray weapon. On the other hand, the pistol Tarda, which means heavy in Latin, is like a sniper rifle.

Finally the mutations. Cat eyes change my eyes to look like a cat's and give me clearer vision as well as night vision. Prophetic eyes allow me to seem glimpses into the future. Eidetic Memory is just photographic memory. Boosted senses boost my five senses as well as the sixth sense, or instinct. Protected spirit protects me from madness, brainwashing, and all the other nasty mental and soul effects. Emperess Aura allows me to produce and overwhelming aura from my body and it helps me influence others. Sensing aura creates a field where I can find and sense things. Sub brain doesn't really give me a whole new brain but instead improves it so I can have 2 completely different thought process going on at once. Calm headed produces hormones that keep me level headed in all situations. Analytic helps me analyze information.

With all these skills and talents I was ready to go to my new world. Ah, I never got to choose a world.
