*Bzzt Bzzt...*
The phone buzzed Aurys out of her trance, she recognized Holly's number.
"What do you want?" Aurys answered her boss with a teeny bit lack of professionalism. She still wasn't used to the work hierarchy in South Korea and Holly never really cared so, it was what it was.
"Cast him!"
"Cast who?"
"Haein, who else?!" Holly shrieked Aurys into a cardiac arrest. One of these days, she thought, she was definitely going to need a heart transplant.
"How'd you know I was watching the interview?" Aurys suspiciously looked around to search for hidden cameras in the house.
"Only a fool wouldn't be watching." Holly scoffed at which Aurys nodded her head in approval.
"You know he has rejected every single project of ours. What makes you think he'd want to work with us this time? We'll never be able to land him..."
"Well, I guess then I'll have to fire the executive producer in charge. That's you, in case you didn't know! What's the use of all these awards if you can't even lure him in, huh?"
Aurys chuckled nervously in response.
How could she ever explain that every time Haein rejected their offers, she'd take herself out for a celebratory dinner?
"Uh I don't think you'll fire the oldest employee of the company. Need I remind you how every single of my work has brought us glory and fame--?"
"Try me... then we'll see how you manage your 'Mah lyf, Mah rulez' attitude in other production houses."
"Holly, didn't you always teach me that the art we create is more important than the name value of the artist in it?"
"Auriri," her voice sounded like honey falling on shea butter which obviously was a red alert to Aurys, "are you blind to not see, he is our art? Next time you show up, don't forget to bring him for the signing or don't bother showing up to even submit your resignation letter. Take care, sweetie."
