Chapter 59. The beginning of the second round 1.

The armored desert worm, upon spotting Li Chen, let out a deafening roar. It burrowed into the sand and charged at Li Chen with anger in its eyes.

Li Chen smiled upon seeing this and immediately retreated. Abruptly, the worm burst forth from the ground where Li Chen had been standing, its menacing teeth bared.

"You're not a good boy yet, I see," Li Chen remarked as he swiftly unsheathed his sword. A massive blade emerged from the blade, made entirely of fire, and shot towards the armored desert worm.

The worm didn't attempt to dodge the blade but roared in rage as it approached. However, the blade didn't penetrate far. It cut through the worm's tough scales but stopped short, causing the worm to surge in anger even though the injury wasn't too severe. Li Chen only smirked in response.

A closer examination of the worm revealed numerous similar burns on its body, indicating that this wasn't the worm's first encounter with Li Chen.
