Prologue

Ever since she her powers had activated, Mika had been dreaming about this moment, the moment that her mentor, Hawkgirl, would take her to join the Justice League or rather officially meet with the other sidekicks in the Hall of Justice. For five years, she has been helping Hawkgirl clean up the streets of Chicago. Hawkgirl has been a mentor both physically and mentally, teaching her armed combat, unarmed combat, flight maneuver combat. Of all the weapons she was taught, the sword was the one she favored the most. It helped that Kamikaze's swordmanship ingrained in her brain had helped her bring swordmanship having to a whole new level.

"You look distracted. What's the matter?" Hawkgirl asked as they flew towards Washington DC.

"I just can't believe today is the day," Angel, her codename, answered. "We have been speaking of this day for a long time, I have dreamed about it, yet I still feel I am dreaming."

"You should be happy, child, few people get this honor," Hawkgirl said, a proud smile adorning her face. She had lived for millenniums but this was the first time she had truly felt like this. To finally see someone she had nurtured, a true prodigy in warrior arts, moving up in life with the experience taught.

"You get to met the rest of the sidekicks finally. How do you feel about that?" Hawkgirl asked.

"Aqualad seemed like we could get on fine. Kid Flash not so much, Speedy even much so and Robin is fifty-fifty," Angel answered.

"Why's that?" Hawkgirl asked.

"Aqualad is Aquaman's prodigy. From what you have told me, Atlanteans are a military state so Aquaman must have taught him warcraft since they started. I wouldn't be surprised if he is a natural born leader due to Aquaman's political position," she answered.

"Kid Flash, from your reports, seems like a braggart little vain child. Flash must have done a good job to not let those vices consume him but they are still there. I bet the first thing he does after seeing me would be to try and hit on me," she continued. Hawkgirl was silently anylizing her answers and she was inwardly impressed.

"Speedy is a moody, temperamental teenager that will try and question everything that's brought up to him. His mentor might have put up with him due to their familiarity but it still stands. He and I will not get along very well," she continued.

"Lastly, Robin. As a protege of Batman, he must have been pushed hard by the man. He is a perfectionist, control freak and this might have left some psychological traumas in the boy. Due to his nature, Robin must have contacted some of his character traits. This my fifty-fifty," Angel finished and looked at her mentor who chuckled.

"Batman might want to poach you after hearing your thoughts," she said before increasing her flying speed. Angel frowned at that sentence before flapping her pair of wings faster, catching up with her mentor.

Even though Angel can fly at Mach 2, her mentor can only fly at 500miles/hr and with the additional of the nth metal gear, she had been able to fly at Mach 1. But, it consumed a lot of stamina so they flew at speeds she could handle. That was why she was not surprised when they were the last to arrive.

"Sorry for our late arrival, we had to take care of some escaped convicts before we started," Hawkgirl apologized as they landed. Their wings folded behind them as soon as they landed, something Hawkgirl had told her to always do when in this persona. She told them that the time it takes to retract them out of their body and take flight would be time bad guys use to kill even more people.

"So this is your sidekick. Nice to finally meet you," Green Arrow came forward and extended to shake her hand.

"Angel, nice to meet you," Angel said, taking his hand and shaking it. Everyone could feel her neutral voice though and it became awkward after that.

"Let's take this inside," Batman said and led the way. The mentors were in front while their sidekicks followed them, all of them looking at Angel with wonder. She was wearing metal armor from head to toe, carved into intrinsic patterns and shapes in the shoulders and hips. Her helmet covered the top of her head to her nose with added carvings on too of it. The metallic part of her armor ended on the two carved metals hanging to her hips sides and the rest was a red cloth that hid her feet. On her back was a well made long sword that just screams of beauty. One look at her and one would think she is an angel of war.

"She doesn't speak much, does she?" Kid Flash whispered to Robin who just shrugged.

"Must be the silent type," Robin answered flatly, even if he himself was very much intrigued by the enigma walking beside them. At the entrance to the Hall of Justice, Martian Manhunter and Captain Atom said walked out.

"Welcome to the Hall Of Justice," Martian Manhunter said, causing the feverent clicking of cameras to become even more. "Follow us inside and we will show you around." That last bit was to the sidekicks who just continued following them.
