When Jocelyn heard what Maria said, she stood rooted to the ground without saying anything. She was like a beautiful piece of wood, expressionless and silent.

She had no choice but to tolerate it. After all, she was the most unfavored daughter in the family so no one would help her.

As usual, Jocelyn stood by the side and endured Maria's scolding. She lowered her head and did not say anything. She thought to herself, "It's alright, I'll just endure it for a while longer. I'll graduate in two months. When that time comes, I won't have to rely on my family anymore and won't have to tolerate you. Jocelyn, you can definitely do it."

Maria crossed her arms and looked at Jocelyn with a cold smile.

Then, Jocelyn heard Maria shout at the peak of her voice. Upon turning, she saw Mr. Bevis' butler walking towards the room with a bouquet of beautiful roses in his hand. The blue roses were so dazzling under the light.

"Eh, Butler Ethan, what brought you here! How is Master Bevis?" Maria was extremely happy to see Butler Ethan, and the smile on her lips was very bright.

"As expected! I have infatuated Mr. Bevis with my beauty and charm. He is now willing to spend money and time on me." Maria thought to herself.

Butler Ethan walked over quickly with a smile and a nod. There was a group of people behind him, all of them holding exquisite gift boxes.

Ethan hastened to catch up with her, leaving Maria to stand there gritting her teeth in fury.

Maria's face was twisted and her mouth was tightly shut. She grasped her dress so tightly that she almost tore them apart.

When the servants saw Maria's sinister gaze, they couldn't help but shudder, nearly letting go of the gifts in their hands.

The butler hurriedly walked up and stopped Jocelyn, who was about to leave the hall.
