Contract Marriage: Forced To Marry The Murderous Billionaire

On Top Of The Harmony Corporation Building

Three men in designer suits perched at different locations on the roof with a young lady bound hand and feet with thick heavy chains at the center. They were all tall, heavily built men and bore a slight resemblance to each other.

"Guys what on earth are we going to do with her?" Jeremy Friedman asked his brothers from where he sat perched on the edge of the roof admiring the beautiful view of Safari City. 

"I don't know Jer, she saw everything and therefore she's a liability. I say we throw her off the roof and have everyone think she committed suicide" Hayden replied Jeremy from where he stood pointing a gun at the young lady's head.

"Mmm, pmm!!" She tried to scream through her mouth gag but all that came out were a handful of pitiful groans.

"If you keep making that annoying noise I'll save everyone the trouble and put a bullet in you myself" Hunter threatened her while clicking off the safety pin on the gun and digging it deep into the base of her skull. 

"Stop that Hayden, nobody is killing anybody here. Have you forgotten who got us into this mess in the first place?" Hunter asked in a harsh tone as he glared at his twin brother, "Put the gun away before you screw us up even further"

Hayden grumbled but still tucked the gun into his trouser. Hunter walked over to the bound up lady and squatted before her.

"If you promise not to scream, I'll take it out" he was still glaring but at least the harshness was gone from his tone. She nodded enthusiastically and Hunter pulled the gag out of her mouth.

"I... I promise, I'll never tell anyone what I saw, please I don't want to die. I'm just twenty two, I don't want to die" She pleaded with her tears staining her cheeks.

"Shhhh, no one is too young to die. However, we are not going to kill you Miss... what's your name again?"

"Adriana, Adriana Carson" she answered in panicked haste as she still didn't believe they would let her go after what she just saw.

"Well Miss Adriana, correct?" He asked and she nodded, unsure if he was enquiring on her marital status or if he got the pronunciation right, both of which he got correct.

"You see, I'm the head of this family and even as the media spreads rumours about how dysfunctional our relationship is, we still love each other more than you could ever imagine," Hunter had a bored tone now but the darkness never left his eyes.

"You just saw my twin brother, Hayden kill a man in cold blood, a man who we assume was your partner judging from how you two came here together, am I correct?"

"He was my ex" she trembled in fear as she replied and Hayden only sighed at her reply.

"Then I guess it must hurt less. You saw Hayden kill a man, if we let you go, the police will ask questions concerning his disappearance and even if you deny any knowledge to his whereabouts"

"When his body is found in the river by two fishermen in two weeks they'll return to your door and this time they'll probably crack you down like a coconut and force the truth out of you, Hayden goes to prison for murder and my grandmother cries all day and nags me for letting that happen since he's her favorite" Hunter actually smirked at Hayden and his twin shrugged and smirked back while Adriana was horrified at how he could still smirk at his brother after watching him kill another person.

"So instead of letting Hayden kill you and add another body to our list of worries I have an easier proposition, do you want to hear it?"

"What is that?" She asked hesitantly as she eyed Hayden warily, she was in no hurry to trust the twin brother to the man who just shot her ex boyfriend to death, not that he didn't deserve it.

"So there are only two ways to make sure you don't talk and don't even think of an NDA because Safari City police won't even respect that. You could either let Hayden kill you and be silenced forever or you could join the family where we will have full surveillance on you all hours of the day, so what do you say?"

"What do you mean by joining your family?" She asked in surprise as his tone was very light and carefree yet his eyes remained inhumanly dark.

"Since Hayden got himself into this mess, he'll marry you and we'll take you back to the chateau and keep you on lockdown until we are sure we can trust you"

"What??!" Three voices chorused in unison at Hunter's proposition and all the dark eyed man did was smirk.

"You want me to marry him!? Hell no!" Adriana protested by struggling in her bonds which earned her a glare from Hunter.

"What do you mean by I should marry her? I just shot a guy it's not like the police can touch us, why do I need to marry her?" Hayden complained obviously showing no interest in Hunter's plan.

"Shut up Hayden, my word is absolute. You put yourself in this position and you're going to suffer the consequences, and you better agree to this young lady because you either marry him or I let him kill you" Hunter's voice came out as a low growl as if challenging anyone object to his idea.

'Oh no! I'm not getting married to that murderer, I'm not getting married to anyone. If I refuse now they'll kill me, I'll go along with their plans for now and run away the first chance I get' Adriana thought to herself as she watched the drama unfolding before her.

"I can't marry her, or anyone else. She looks so... basic and she's not even half as pretty as my mistress Leila" Hayden argued.

"That's a lie Hayden, I think she's quite pretty and we all know Leila is a coked up model reject with no hopes for the future" Jeremy chimed in cheerily from his position on the edge of the roof.

"I'm not getting married Hunter, I'd rather go to jail than that" Hayden spoke with a haunted look in his eyes.

"Then that's exactly where you're going. Jeremy, unbound her and take her home, if she wants to report to the police then she can freely do so" Hunter ordered before walking away from the rooftop.

"Wait!" Hayden called out with desperation in his voice. Adriana could tell that he had hidden reasons for not wanting to marry and the pitiful look Jeremy gave him only confirmed her suspicions more.

"If I do this Hunter, you will have to promise never to tell Grandma about any of this. Not the shooting and not the fake marriage, let her think I actually fell in love and married her" 

"I'll do it only if you can guarantee my safety" Adriana cut in but Hunter chuckled at her.

"You don't have much of a choice here Adriana, and since Hayden here has agreed to my proposition my job here is done. Jeremy will take you back to the chateau while I and Hayden will stay here and discuss the specifics of your wedding which will be tomorrow morning" Hunter announced before leaving the roof.

"Well then Miss Adriana, I guess you just got yourself a husband. I have to warn you tho, my brother can be a real piece of work" Jeremy chuckled as he produced a dagger out of his jacket pocket and cut the bounds on her wrist.

"Come take your wife home Hayden" Jeremy taunted his brother and Hayden only glared at them both in reply.

Adriana had been bound so she hadn't really had time to evaluate her captors but she didn't even need to look at them to know who they were.

The Friedman Brothers.

The three of them were absolute tycoons in their respective fields. Hunter, the first of the three was a real estate billionaire and Hayden his twin was also in the billion club but his wealth was from his tech company called Harmony. Jeremy the third child was renowned as Safari City's richest playboy but his money came from the numerous companies he had under his name. He named them collectively the "The Jer-Air-Me Corporation". The name was cheesy but no one could deny the fact that at the end of the year he sat solidly in the Forbes 100 list and he was only just twenty two years old.

"Well Adriana, I would have let you daydream for as long as you want but we have to get back to the chateau soon. Hayden you'll have to escort your wife back to the chateau because I have to meet with Kiara today and she gets all pouty whenever I show up late" Jeremy announced as he snapped his fingers before her eyes to drag her out of her reverie.

"What!?" Adriana exclaimed in surprise as she thought she was going to be with Jeremy who seemed nice enough to let his guard down, she wasn't envisioning having any chances to escape with grumpy Hayden watching over her.

"What is 'What?!' You agreed to the plan, he's your husband so it's best you two get to know each other" 

"I swear, I'll strangle her to death if you leave me alone with her" Hayden spoke with the same growl his twin brother used earlier and it had Adriana thinking if it was a family trait.

"Alright Mr. Angrybird, Adriana is coming with me to the chateau where I'll lock her up and then go see Kiara" Jeremy announced before taking Adriana's hand and leading her off the roof in a rather gentle manner.

'Well at least I got stuck with the nice Friedman brother, now it's to take my chances as they come...'
