Volume 1- Chapter 1: Reality Itself

At the time when everything began, he possessed a power that could destroy death itself, he was immortal, but could he truly grasp the essence of immortality? Day by day, he lost everything over and over again, until finally, amidst the ruins of the world and in the midst of all the losses he endured, he found the splendor that could challenge death itself - this became his end. Immortality was not truly immortality, but that did not mean it could be taken from him again.

His plan is to take all of the fallen gods down, taking over heaven and destroy all of those who shall not be up there.

The world changed a long time ago, to be precise, we can say almost 153 years ago. If you ask why it changed, we can explain this situation in a not-so-short manner.

Imagine a game. A game with magic, monsters, levels, and all kinds of absurdity and extravagance you can think of. Well, the Earth had transformed into one of those extravagances. Reality had turned into one of those fantasy worlds that people had been enjoying reading about for a long time, without encountering any negativity. And now, it was hunting them.

Brave individuals who gained power started emerging from their hiding places to put an end to the lives of the monsters. Thus, everything that could happen started to unfold and fall into place. Once again, humans triumphed over opposing forces with their intelligence and abilities, managing to put at least a small end to the situation.

The world just changed like that.

It had been a very long time since his death. He was within a realm where he couldn't perceive any sensations; he couldn't breathe nor hear, his only possession being his thoughts and that he was in void: How much time had passed? What state was the world in? Had England been saved? Yet no answers were coming to his mind...

Everything was pitch black, yet Aaron's consciousness was clearer than ever. He felt as if he was drifting in a void, unable to open his eyes or speak. The only thing he could do was think.

Thoughts began to race through Aaron's mind as he yearned to express his anguish and sorrow:

"Is it because of my sins that I am trapped in this place? If so, I can't believe it. Everything I did, every sin I committed, it was all for humanity. Even when humanity needed us the most, I didn't run and hide; I fought. But why?"

As Aaron pondered these thoughts, something unexpected happened. A voice came from right in front of him:

"Why aren't you speaking? Instead of grieving over your death, you're still thinking about humanity? You at least deserve that much." Aaron was surprised by these questions and, finally, with great effort, managed to open his eyes.

In front of him stood a being, with hundreds more behind. Aaron, surprised and with no room for thoughts in his heart, began to speak:

"Gods?" Aaron said aloud and continued, "Then why are you appearing before me now, instead of when everyone needed you?!"

As Aaron noticed, the gods remained silent in response to this question, as if they had no answer, breaking themselves apart, laughing, and feeling sorrow. The leading God, standing in front, began to speak again.

"Why did you feel the need to create such cruelty? People, were they not important to you, regardless of their deaths?!" he asked.

"They were, that's why the system had to be created. You've misunderstood something, my child. We did not commit any injustice or evil to your world. With your young and deeply contemplative mind, you may have overlooked it, but your world was dying, and it was you humans who were killing it. We created the system and gave you power, but sacrifices had to be made, and people died."

The gods were saddened by Aaron's state. Among all humans in the realm of the gods, he was the one they enjoyed watching the most. He didn't worship them, yet he also didn't mistreat or commit evil deeds towards others. He was a person who could even find goodness within his own sins. Even when his family died, he only displayed a gloomy sadness and anger, shedding a few tears. But now, he was genuinely weeping before them.

"Do you know why you are here right now, Aaron?" Aaron shook his head from side to side.

"Silence your voice!" he yelled with a malevolent face and continued, "After all the pain and helplessness humanity has endured, after witnessing countless deaths, don't try to come before me and ask me simple questions!" he shouted.

"I know. It's impossible for you to be calm, and it's just as impossible for you to forgive us. But listen to what we have to say," the being responded calmly. Reluctantly, Aaron sat down where he had fallen, with tears streaming down his face and anger in his heart, and began to listen to the entity in front of him.

''The world was in serious danger and we really had to create the system. Yes, the existence of monsters and similar creatures was our fault because the world needed to become stronger. However, the arrival of the Supreme Dragon Elajiah was something even we did not expect, but it had already happened. As gods, we cannot interfere in people's lives as we please.''

"What?" Aaron replied, his expression showing that he didn't expect anything from them but seeking for revenge.

"Would you like to save your world? If you had a chance, would you try to change everything?" the entity asked, suddenly moving closer to him.

"I would have wanted to? Of course, I would have. Who wouldn't want to save dozens of friends, my master, and many others who have fallen into the grip of death? I should've be the immortal one yet i died. " Aaron responded calmly, his tears starting to subside.

A small sense of tranquility settled in the air, and neither the "gods" in front of him nor Aaron made a sound. The only remaining sound was the diminishing tears still falling from Aaron's eyes.

After a few minutes, the stillness took over, and this time, a true silence enveloped the surroundings. However, Aaron's head was no longer bowed down; it was now directed towards the entity before him.

"Very well, do you accept?" the entity said gently.

After these questions, Aaron gathered his courage in an instant and, with a sorrowful voice, said, "Yes."

"Alright then. You may go back. Start anew, rewind it all, grow stronger, never give up, and always rise again," said the entity before him, with a smiling face.

''Just as we have been watching the rest of the world, we have been watching you. And we will continue to watch. Even though it will be a great struggle, we will give you this opportunity. I hope you find happiness this time, my child,'' said the entity with a pure smile.

''I understand. But don't worry, I will correct the mistake humanity has made. Always! But do not think that i did forgive any of you.'' Aaron said angrily, and as he uttered those words, a sense of happiness appeared on the faces of all the gods and the entity before him, followed by a voice:

''Thank you,'' it said.

Before he could comprehend where the voice came from, the surroundings had already darkened, his eyes closed. Then his consciousness faded, and with that, he truly descended into nothingness.
