Lin Fan was taken aback and retorted, "I can read! It says 'The Heavenly Compensation Office'! But why am I here? Wasn't I just walking down the street?"

The old turtle, lazily flipping through a blue book it had retrieved from the ground, replied, "You forgot? You were struck by lightning and died. According to the regulations of the heavenly court, in Thunder Heavenly Sovereign's line of duty, if a mistake is made, the affected person is entitled to free compensation and gets to travel to another world with their memory intact, as stated in Chapter 327, Article 8, Subparagraph 4."

The old turtle's nonchalant demeanor and carefree attitude annoyed Lin Fan, who was known for his shrewdness and quick thinking.

"What kind of compensation am I getting then?" Lin Fan asked skeptically.

The old turtle took out three golden leaves from under its shell, weighed them, and said, "This time you're in luck! These three golden leaves contain 'The True Scriptures of Life', 'The True Scriptures of Death', and 'The True Scriptures of Soul'. Each one is a supreme scripture on its own."

The old turtle's excitement was palpable as it rambled on about the benefits of the golden leaves, resembling a salesperson on a TV shopping program.

However, Lin Fan's keen senses told him that something was amiss. The old turtle's sudden change in demeanor from indifferent to enthusiastic was suspicious.

As soon as the golden leaves touched his palm, they emitted a dazzling light. The green, gray, and white auras of the three scriptures swirled around Lin Fan, enveloping him in an ancient and powerful aura of reincarnation.
