Evelyn collected her books and patted the arm of the person next to her. Marcello had decided that this class was the most boring one he ever attended and had dozed off in the middle of it or rather the very beginning.
"Wake up," Evelyn shook his arm, "we have one more to go."
Marcello groaned and woke up. History and slightly as he continued to set and the cracking came. "This is shit."
"It's education," Evelyn sighed and stood up, "what do you expect?"
Marcello stood up and walked out and was followed by Evelyn.
Evelyn was rather keen on walking behind or if possible walking away from him. Marcello d'Alessandro, walking magnet for attention first of his last name and his looks along with his dressing sense, made everyone turn around and glance at who he was in. Those who knew were ready to get his ass and those who did not, were ready to get to know him.
Evelyn was never used to attention. In fact she had never accompanied her father to get the slightest of attention from his business colleagues so having the attention of a whole University did not feel nice to her.
Marcello stopped and turned behind to glance at her, "hurry up." He nudged her forward.
Evelyn gaped at him in embarrassment. She could practically see everyone looking at her and think of the relationship that they shared.
Just as she was about to open her mouth and tell him to move forward Marcello walked back to her and grabbed her arm then pulled her along with him.
"You walk too slow," he grumbled, "and I'm too sleepy for this shit."
"You don't know that your mother has guards watching you, right?" She blurted out as he continued to drag her. "She has people and I think even in class to make sure that you're starting."
He stilled. "What?" He spat and immediately started to analyse the surroundings.
Evelyn moved her sight to wherever he was looking. Of Course it was difficult to tell who was a soldier and a made-man and who was not. No one was wearing suits in university.
"Hmm," she tsked, "you are never going to know." She teased.
Marcello groaned. "Fuck this shit. I know she will kill me anyway." He looked around once more. "I hate her sometimes."
Evelyn pinched his arm immediately. "How can you say that? Do you know how many people do not have their mothers? I would do anything to get mine back." She slapped his arm and moved forward, stepping him towards the next class.
"hey," he caught up with her slightly jogging because she had increased her walking pace, "I didn't mean it literally. If you want we can share my mum with you."
She chuckled but then maintained her stone cold face. They entered the class and once again Marcelo directed her to the second last bench.
"Does everyone know who you are?" Evelyn murmured as she looked around the classroom. Every child once glanced at Marcelo and then they never looked back.
"I think they looked at the attendance sheet. My siblings did make a name famous." He yawned.
"Oh," she muttered. She had heard about his siblings. She had also seen their photos all over the house. Alexis had dedicated a wall which was filled with photo frames of her family.
Salvatore D'alessandro was a sight to see but something that you would certainly avoid. She had come from a family of organised crime and she was sure as hell not going into one.
Someone entered the class and Evelyn need to move to get ready for writing down the notes.
"I am sorry everyone. We do not have your email list ready otherwise you would have been notified of this earlier today. The class has been cancelled for the entire week due to some emergency on the professor's side. We are sorry for the inconvenience." She stepped outside the class once she was finished and Evelyn turned around to tell marsalo who was already up standing beside his seat.
"What are you doing?" He scowled at her, " Come on, we have to go home as soon as possible."
Wow, she watched him, he could actually be not lazy for once.
"Oh, look," Marcello pointed to a group of men dressed in suits standing near the administration office. At his direction Evelyn looked there.
"That's my brother." Marcello grinned.
Evelyn recognised the body. That was Salvatore De'alassandro standing in the flash in front of her.
