10,000 C.E. : Saga of a Dark Future
In the far future, humanity has fallen from grace. Once a star faring civilization that dominated the galaxy, it is now not even a shadow of its former glory.
Earth, which was once the cosmopolitan center of an interstellar society, is nothing but a wasteland filled with crumbling ruins of supercities. Here, barbarian warlords who savagely fight over the dwindling resources.
Cosmic energies unleashed during 'The Fall' triggered horrible mutations among the population, while also giving psychoactive abilities to some though at the cost of their sanity.
These vile mutants and insane witches now roam the wastes as well, making them all the more treacherous to inhabit.
Enkyras Ren Ishtar, a simple moisture harvester, witnesses his birthland destroyed and people massacred by warring tribes. After returning from certain death due to cosmic interference, Enkyras struggles to survive in the wastes and tries to build a new home for his people. Follow him on his journey as he strives to reclaim what was lost and create a new future, a brighter future to overcome the dark.
Author's note: Each chapter will be 1000-1500 words long. I will try to upload at least one chapter a day, and two when I have enough free time. Also, I will be soon adding a glossary for the sci-fi/fantasy terminology in the auxiliary chapters.
