Captain America Thaws out in Westeros

I have written everything after the stars '***' twice, for the sake of reduction of redundancy and in the hopes that my message is clear to all.

This fic was written with Captain America in mind, with the premise of him waking up in Westeros, North of the Wall, right after he sinks the Valkyrie, which was initially heading for New York. I would assume that the cause of Captain America's transport to an entirely new universe is a result of the Tesseract leaving behind some stray energies that effectively transported the Red Skull to Vormir.

The tone of this fic, is mostly written synonymous to a Diary entry, with various POV and third person chapters scattered throughout the plot.

The characterization, the plot, and its surrounding lore is not owned by me.

Captain America belongs to Marvel Comics.

While Game of Thrones and ASOIAF belongs to George RR Martin.

This work is a beautiful record of accounts, mostly in the first person, and it manages to capture the thought process of a moral man, like Steven Grant Rogers, who is lost in a barbaric and savage land, like Westeros and surrounding regions.

It is a retelling of the series of events that led Captain Rogers to make some questionable, some very noble, and some naïve choices during his life, in the cold, harsh reality that is Westeros. This shows his story, where he struggles with Love, friendships, hard choices, and life while trying to hold together a sense of personality and self, while also trying to uphold his modern American values.

This work does not follow a set timeline of events, as the presence of a man like Steve Rogers is bound to set the butterfly effect in place.

Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's court is a work written by Mark Twain, many ideas of this fic and similar are derived from there, you could say, that most modern time travel fics and works of original literature are inspired from there.

Guns of the South is a work written by Harry Turtledove, set during American Civil War, it is an alternate history work and I highly recommend readers to give it a try, particularly those that enjoy a good historical masterpiece given a flair for change and drama.

Lest Darkness Fall is a work written by American Author L. Sprague de Camp, it is also another masterpiece of alternate history writing set in 595 Roman era, where an American Archeologist from the late 1930s is sent into history due to stray bolt of lightning.

You will find many similarities of this piece of fan fiction and these master pieces.

I would also recommend readers of this fic, to read George RR Martin's original work, A song of Ice and Fire. This fan fiction derives its backgrounds and characterizations from there. I also hope most readers have already had the pleasure of experiencing the cinematic and story writing master piece that is the Marvel Cinematic Universe, especially Captain America : The First Avenger and its consecutive installments.
