For the past few minutes Radka sat speechless, while Minnie and Rushil eyed her with sad eyes.
For years Radka thought Jenny just ran away, but Jenny didn't even make it outside her office alive.
Tired of seeing how broken Radka's expression was, "You know what... Let's continue the rest of the story later, I think the best thing we can do now is get your wife somewhere before she completely loses her mind." Minnie said.
"I wish I didn't have to tell her, but I knew that if i wanted to protect Nikolai, i had to unravel this...
I had intended to keep Jenny's death a secret till I die, but I can't let Nikolai pay for what I and his mom has done." Rushil replied.
"Speaking of which, how the hell did Radka found out you're the traitor?" Minnie asked.
"I kind of backed myself into a corner, I'm good at keeping secrets, but I'm not the type of guy who would keep a secret that would save a life if revealed.
Thanks to Jin, Radka was convinced you were taken by the Traitor, so I confessed so she would start investigating other possibilities." Rushil replied.
...Tiny Flashback...
"It must've been the traitor's work, but why target Minnie?!" Radka asked angrily.
"I think Minnie's probably still alive, maybe this isn't the traitor's work after all! I mean what evidence do we have that the girls the traitor targets are dead?!
Missing doesn't equal dead!" Rushil replied.
"Rushil, You're the one who came to me with the facts and now you're doubting them?"
"I didn't come with facts, I told you what Jin thought."
Narrowing her eyes at Her husband "You know, I've noticed something Rushil ...You're not half worried about Minnie, are you?
if it's not the real traitor, maybe it's a copycat.
You didn't do this, did you Rushil? after all you're the one who mentioned the traitor to Jin."Radka asked.
Scoffing, "Oh please?! so I'm the Traitor's copycat now?!" Rushil said.
"You're jealous of Minnie, you have a motive."
"Rad-fucking-ka!"
Sighing, Radka took a deep breath, "Okay, If I'm wrong I'm sorry to accuse you Rushil, but if I'm on the right track and this is your work...I know you're not a murderer so Minnie must be alive.
if you did do something...please tell me now and we can forget all of this! I promise you that if you take me to Minnie, I will forgive you as if this never happened."
"Have you lost your mind honey?! I was with you since yesterday! we slept on the same bed, we woke up in the same room AND we were in the same house all day!
It is physically impossible for me to have kidnapped her, and even if I wanted to take revenge against Minnie, trust me I wouldn't resort to kidnapping, I'm more into blackmail."
Sighing, "You're right, I'm sorry my love...I am losing my mind suspecting my own husband.
I guess I should try to find the actual Traitor as soon as possible, she must've been the one who took Minnie...in the end I know you would never betray me like that." Radka replied.
But then she noticed something, her last words caused Rushil to become visibly anxious.
"Oh dear, What have you done Rushil?" Radka asked immediately.
Nervous, "I didn't kidnap Minnie I swear! but I also don't think the traitor has done this, at least like you said...not the real traitor." Rushil replied.
"Why are you defending the traitor? do you know who she is? is it Lydia?!"
"No... it was never a She."
"Huh?"
"I am the traitor...Radka."
...[End of Tiny flashback]...
... Meanwhile...
"I guess we've underestimated our guests..." Joel said while eyeing the empty Basement.
Standing behind him, "I'm really surprised! how did she get out of here?!" Soo-Min Asked.
Soo-Min was standing behind Joel, which made it impossible for her to see the 'Do-you-think-i'm-dumb' expression Joel wore as a reaction to her words.
"Really..." He said, "It's either that Lydia Didn't drug them enough, or someone broke them out.
Also there's no sign of forced entry, it's almost as if someone has opened the door for them using the keys." Joel spoke again.
"Don't underestimate my sister, she's good! there is no door that can hold her back." Soo-Min replied.
"And with her driver by her side, two heads are better than one, right." Joel said with a fake agreeing tone.
"Yeah! this is just more bad luck for me... I don't think I can go look for her now!
I'm sure her men must be all around the town, so my sister might as well be back to them and well-protected already."
"Right... best thing that you don't go looking for her, especially when we don't know if she actually has escaped on her own." Joel said making Soo-Min frown in confusion.
"What do you mean?" She asked.
"I'm a cop, a detective to be more precise and it's kind of my job to think of every possibility, although it seems like them escaping on their own is the logical explanation.
But knowing all circumstances, I can't help but speculate she didn't escape, Someone wanted Your dear older sister gone from my house." Joel said turning to face Soo-Min, "The question is, who?" he added smiling as he placed his hands on her shoulders.
Raising an eyebrow, "Your eyes are accusing me." Soo-Min questioned.
"Who else knew about you sister being here? I don't think Lydia has a motive? in the end she helped you to return the favor of letting her sleep at my place." Joel replied.
"You're right Lydia doesn't have a motive, but so do I! I brought my sister here, why would i break her out?" Soo-Min said smiling.
"We can assume that the motive was you realizing that you've made a mistake, by bringing your sister here.
You probably changed your mind and decided to get your sister out, because you're afraid of Me." Joel replied.
Smirking, "Ah really? why would I be scared of you, unless you're a bad guy Joel and you're admitting it to the lady you just went on a date with...sounds to me like you're a red flag after all." Soo-Min replied before she started climbing the stairs from the basement.
"Where are you going?" Joel asked.
"Away from you, I've dealt with enough shit ever since I came to this hellhole town...i should be with my daughter just in case my sister is out to get her as revenge." Soo-Min replied, "And Btw." Soo-Min said as she stopped climbing briefly, "This Is Our First And Last Date, Joel."
Getting nervous, Joel followed behind her "Hey! now hold on! I was just doing my job as a detective, it doesn't necessarily mean I'm suspecting you did something!" Joel said reaching to hold her hand.
"Let go of me!" Soo-Min said snatching back her hand before she continued climbing away from him.
Suddenly, "Soo-Min, c'mon I was just being cautious! I don't care, even if you broke her out, I don't care! I won't do anything about it, you can trust me!" Joel said.
...Some other time...
For some reason, Lydia was driving her car somewhere while she spoke on the phone.
Lydia: So he's sure it was you...
Soo-Min: Yeah, But don't worry! he doesn't think you have anything to do with this.
Lydia: *Sighing* I told you that man is like a dog when it comes to other people's secrets!... you cannot just trust him, even if he says he's okay with it being your work.
Soo-Min: if I can't just trust him, why do you trust him? you were in his house before me?
Lydia: I don't trust him, I just know Joel better than you...you better stay away from him now that he suspects you.
Soo-Min: I told him no more dates for us...does he get angry when rejected?
Lydia: Maybe...Soo-Min, you may think you're safe because you're the object of his desires right now, but if Joel started suspecting you, he'll probably come after you, his real desire is uncovering people's secrets and he's willing to do just about anything to reach that goal, even trick you...
Soo-Min: he won't spare anyone? Not even the woman he likes?
Lydia : it's possible, from what I know about him, Joel has changed women around him like pairs of socks.
so far It's been always one night stands and Friends with benefits for him, and he never publicly announced that any woman was his girlfriend.
He would usually ask or get rewarded with hook-ups with Radka's girls, but you're the first woman he went on a date with since I knew him, so you may have an advantage on him.
But just in case, the only way for you to avoid anything bad coming from Joel's side, is to not get tangled with him anymore.
Soo-Min: Thanks for the infos...so I made a good decision.
Lydia: however...until things between you two calm down, I suggest you don't make whatever's between you And Ha-yoon public.
Soo-Min: you think Ha-yoon and i are a thing?
Lydia: I'm saying that I know that Ha-yoon likes you... I was able to deduce that you've promised her something other than money in return for her help, something blush-worthy.
Soo-Min: Assuming that there's something between me and Ha-yoon, why would our relationship being public, be of any concern to Joel, he already knows that Ha-yoon likes me.
Lydia: like I said I don't know how Joel handles rejection, but if he by any chance got vengeful, you won't be the only one paying the price for that.
He might suspect that Ha-yoon have helped you, especially if you two ladies were to start seeing each other.
So you need to keep whatever happens between you and Ha-yoon under wraps, even from your daughter.
Soo-Min: I see...thanks for everything, really.
Lydia: you're welcome, I've got to go now.
Soo-Min: btw where are you going at this late hour?
Lydia: personal reasons, goodbye.
*Beeb*
When she ended the call, Lydia smiled at the colorful box sitting next to her in the passenger seat, "Good company and summer nights."
... Meanwhile...
"Who were you talking to? is it Joel?" Seong-min asked as she went to see her mom in the kitchen, "No, it's Lydia." Soo-Min replied.
"Huh? why?"
"We were talking about my sister, she was surprised to know that she has escaped."
"Seriously, how skilled is my aunt?" Seong-min asked, "Very much...this night is too eventful, my sister...Moses." Soo-Min said.
"And Minnie!" Seong-min added.
"Yeah...btw you better keep your promise, I only held off of calling Jin earlier because you promised you'll tell him everything that happened tomorrow." Soo-Min said.
"I promise, I'll go see him myself and Tell him everything." Seong-min replied.
"And Julian, you're still taking her for ice cream?"
"Yeah! I made a promise!"
"Okay, goodnight princess! I'm going to watch a movie with Ha-yoon in her room, I promised her earlier."
"Oh?" Although Seong-min thought it was weird that she just has heard of this promise, she shrugged her shoulders, grabbing herself ice-cream from the fridge, she took a chair in the kitchen while her mom left.
The moment Soo-Min knocked on Ha-yoon's bedroom door, Ha-yoon opened the door and Soo-Min got inside giggling, "And now it's payment time!" Ha-yoon said smirking before she pulled Soo-Min into a kiss, and the door was shut again.
...Meanwhile...
"So you had a good time tonight, son?" Joe asked smiling while looking At the pictures Cyrus took.
"You can say it wasn't boring." Cyrus replied faking a smile.
Suddenly, someone knocked on the room's door, so Cyrus went to see who.
He was surprised to see Lydia in person, smiling while holding a box in her hand.
"I got some cake, happy birthday Cyrus." Lydia said.
